- The main reason I got the laser was to be able to mark pens in house. It can do way more than pens, but this video is to show you the process. These are all the steps to mark these soft touch metal pens using the fiber laser.

once you've ordered a 2nd marker in the meantime lasercut a quick ring that will drop on the rotary with cutouts for the knives and get marking
Could you create a jig for your pen rotator. Made of plexiglass. Laser out the bed size of the rotator. Then just clamp the template down to your laser bed.
I know exactly what I would do with a second fiver laser. You'll just use both to mark your pens faster.
When I use my laser on these pens the writing smears if I rub. Can you tell me the settings that you use?

New subscriber here... love the content... can these pens be done on the co2 laser? I'm assuming they are quoted like the tumblers?
You can, it just removes the coating and doesn't etch into the metal.
Are those alimum pens where do you in bulk seems very inventory intensive
It is. I hold 15-20,000 at all time.
I don't know if anyone suggested this, nor do I know if it is an option, but could you create a custom platform for etching other items, that would simply rest on top of the ink pen platform? This way you could leave the pen platform in place & place a different one on top, then adjust the laser height. Could that work?
Yes. You could take the main circle off or make something that fits over it. Would be great for repeat items. Business cards, coin, etc.
Where did the pen jig come from?
I ordered it from my manufacturer at the same time I purchased the laser.
Where did you get the pen rotator?
From the company that sold me the laser. I got them at the same time.
Where did you get the pen rotary? I tried through the Omtech link but they told me they don't carry them.

Every laser is different. My two pens lasers are not even close to the same settings.

@@josenavarro6601 When I had an issue with the red dot on my co2 galvo, he mailed me the part to fix it under warranty. There is not much that can go wrong with these machines.
