You will get far better consistency if you quickly evacuate the smoke from the lasers path. A lot of energy is masked by the smoke when the laser try’s and penetrates. If the smoke is variable in depth as seen this means inconsistent power reaching your object. I do deep engraving on my 50w fiber for steel components I manufacture. Lots of material removal. Having a stronger airflow over doubles my production speed going deep. Without a strong airflow my depths are inconsistent and overall take longer. Food for thought :)
Hi You don’t need to use glasses with either of them lasers? The co2 galvo and the fiber, no glasses needed? We are thinking one for our shop to engrave wooden signs for our customers so I was wondering if we need any kind of cover or such Thanks in advance Cool videos keep them coming
Nice. I want a galvo now bad! But aren’t you concerned on the lack of any shield or safety system on that thing? Or the extraction-visible smoke like that indicates it’s not good enough extraction--putting really terrible chemicals into your space.
very cool, i have had my finger over fiber laser for couple years now lol, question dos it leave a burnt residue on the burned surface like reg c02 does? i had a complaint one time but curious.
For fiber there are sometimes shavings that you just dust off. I usually wipe everything with a microfiber towel after it's done. I keep these around the shop for that - amzn.to/3CAHQx0
Most business have them. They're a repeat purchase item. They're easy to ship. They product fast. Good margins. Lots of pluses to me. Only con is inventory in my mind.
Please stop exposing your eyes to the laser beam. Just because you don't see the beam doesn't mean its not eating away at the cones and rods in your retina. Its also not doing any good to the lens of your eyes. Understand that China might not care about your vision but we do. Even short term exposure at these outputs can be very detrimental to you eyes, especially long term. As a influencer other learn from your techniques. Teach everyone the right way. No one likes to wear the filters glasses but its the price to pay to use a open system.... Stop watching the beam.
@@ttms I and wanting to build a co2 and the wife said okay. I was shocked. I have a diode (Neje A40640) and 2 CNC routers. I threw it out there thinking no way and boom! So I'm shopping before she changes her mind.
As an eyecare professional, let me reiterate what others have said here - for the love of god, please wear eye protection when around those lasers - you are putting your eyesight at significant risk. No amount of money per hour is going to restore that damage to your retinas. And even if you don't care about your own vision, you're setting a awful example to others who watch your videos.
I was looking at that myself. I suppose it's 'possible' he got some special coating on his eyeglasses maybe? But there is still no side protection for the eyes and that light absolutely will wreck the eyes in a permanent fashion.

We have already replaced the extraction with something better.
You ain’t supposed to stare at the beam! 😳
But it's soooo beautiful.

Yes you do need eye protection or a class 1 casing as these are class 4 lasers.
That’s some impressive $$ per hour!
It's too bad it's not 8 hours a day 😂
Where are you getting most of your supplies? The journals specifically.
is there a reason the laser keeps going from one side of the picture to the opposite side then back again?
What's the ips on this laser?
Love the videos!! Can I ask which co2 you used for these? Your 30w or 60w?
Thanks
I don't have time to watch the video, but it was probably the 30watt. Now I use both, but mainly the 60 watt.

I know the extraction is bad. We've already replaced it and I'll have a new video coming out about it.
Awesome!
Can you do a video over kongsberg vs summa f series? You’ve mentioned things before, but that f series looks so nice.
Where do you source your materials from like the journals and wallets?
Mostly over seas.
Is the fire alarm going off?
Nope. But it sure does look cool.
Would you mind you sharing your source for the journals?

@@ttms ye i keep bunch of microfiber towels on hand, works well
yea that laser is super cool Daron , attach a hilt to it and boom jedi 🙂
Very true. Maybe I should get a portable one.
Are those metal or plastic pens? I have a 50w fiber laser and i cant engrave plastic. Also, where did u get that pen rotary?
They are metal with a rubber coating. You can get the pens from bulklaser.com
I got the rotary when I purchased my machine.
very cool laser.
So are the journals made of metal or regular material
PU leather.
And does it come with manual for each material or you try or how this works
No, it's trial and error.
Whats the difference between fiber and co2
Fiber is mainly for metals and CO2 is for organic material.
wavelength
🔥🔥💯❤️
20 grand worth of PENS ? why ? Such a small return why concern yourself with Hobbyist items./

@@ttms Was the Epilog Fusion quieter or the same as a glowforge , as we want to replace the glowforge but need the same or quieter , thank you.
The motors on the epilog are nicer and it's way faster, but I don't know if it's more quiet.

Who calls you crazy?!?!? You always have room for another laser.
There's always room for more lasers!
