Thank you so much for this video. I need to make a gate for my property to keep the asses from eating my flowers. I'm guessing I can just add some wheels to this and done?
Sirs..., I measured three chain link section (30 feet 4 inches...) I need to convert over to a WIDE gate for a class A motor home to enter and leave the property... Do you make gates this long... ?????? (left and right side....) I could use a double high gate hinge post with an opposing reinforced wire creating a strong post for a gate to hang on to... Let me know and please include your phone number for describing this gate/hinge piece Looking forward to building a usable gate.... Thank you sir.....
Don't buy one of these kits contact a real fence company give them your gate measurements and they will make you a custom gate with welded corners much higher quality then that cheap stuff
you don't need a drill press to drill a hole into the frame. you just need a good metal bit and good drill with torque and some patience. I wouldn't ever buy that POS gate. the gate looks disgusting
All you have to do is MARK the post with a Wrap Around Template at the location where the J-Bolt Hinge goes. Scribe a LINE around the post with a felt marker, Crayon, or pencil. Take a Center PUNCH and make a Punch Mark on the line of the post where it faces the GATE. Then measure from this punch mark around to ONE HALF of the circumference for the OTHER SIDE, make a punch mark there. I have done this so many times I can EYEBALL IT, actually anyone can eyeball it by simply taking a close look at it. But I ALWAYS scribe a LINE for "level" then eyeball the punch mark. After marking the two punch Marks, drill a 3/16 or 1/4 or even a 5/16 or 3/8 pilot hole at each punch mark. Any of those will work for a Pilot. I like to use a 1/4 inch drill for the pilot, but you can use what ever you have amongst or close to those I noted Then take a 5/8 drill and drill the finished hole. You can do this at the SHOP, but I PREFER to do it on site AFTER setting the post and allowing the concrete to CURE. By doing it at the SITE you can get the holes EXACTLY where you want them. In some locations you might NOT be able to drill the holes as they might be close to a WALL or some other obstruction, then of course it might be BETTER to drill it BEFORE SETTING THE POST. You can drill the POST at the site BEFORE SETTING but you can still "DRY FIT IT" to see if it will WORK. Or use a wrap around Pintle Hinge. This above gate I would try to NEVER SELL. But it is probably a decent seller for those trying to "do it themselves" for cheap. It is too unprofessioinal looking for a "FENCE COMPANY" in my opinion. They Make Cast Pot Metal fittings for the corners, I would use THOSE before I would do it like this as the finish product looks better. However the pot metal corners have been known to break or crack, but most of the time they are fine, I PREFER WELDED THOUGH. My gates of this size are WELDED and I use TENSION BARS with Tension Bands. I would use 1 3/8 OD .095 wall thickness and weld it with Shielded Metal Arc Welding or MIG. I use 11 Gauge galvanized after weaving fabric and STEEL Tie Wire. I realize not everyone has that capability, and need something done quick and cheap as their budget might not allow calling a "Fence Company" to do it. But "Drilling" if you have a portable drill motor with a Half Inch Chuck that is AC POWERED and a 5/8 Necked down Twist Drill that is all you need, no drill press required. I have several Drill Presses, as a RULE I like to drill my Posts ON SITE to get them just like I want them. On non-Galvanized Posts I use a CUTTING torch to blow the holes. Looks like just what I need, unfortunately your website doesn't even mention a gate kit, or gates at all.
ชุดประกอบประตูแบบนี้ ถ้ามีขายในไทยบ้างก็จะดีมาก..
if u have a good drill and an vice you can drill for the J bolts but a good center punch will help start the hole
easy peezy
This was great... thanks for making the video!

This video 2 years old can you post a new link cuz when I go to the website says coming soon so do you guys have the kits on your website
Is the frame adjustable? I bought a gate and the width is 4ft 1 inch. I need it to be about 3ft 8 inches. Can the fame be cut to size?

Can I order a 60 in tall x 40 in wide?
I need a 60 in tall by 40 in wide
Went to your site. You only have Vinyl
How does one unravel entangled chain link fence rolls?
Very carefully.
The web site only has VINYL fences
Call. They have chain link.
Bought this.
I don't see a link to these kits.
Thanks
Your website has NO references to chain link fences or these kits. How in the world do I go about purchasing one?!
Google fence company near you, just order what they have
I need a gate. How can i contact you
Are you guys able to make a 10’x8’ kit?
Too long, it would sag, order a stronger fully welded gate from a fence company
I need one 5ftx12ft W
Why not just weld it instead of the 8 screws?
Screws are faster and with the pressure of the chain link from one side to the other it's plenty sturdy
Hey. tell me what metal the pipes are made of?
Galvanized steel
How can I order a gate
Call the number on our website. Monday - Friday 8-2. Or you can submit a quote request.

Do you need an impact drill to drill the self tap screws?
I assume there are other tools but the impact is a great tool for the job.
A regular drill works great
I need to buy a kit for a section that is 6’ tall and 10’ wide or two at 6’ tall and 5’ wide. How do I find a price?

yikes! The bowing in the middle is terrible!
I did it with Woodglut.

I'm a welder for fence company and this is an insult to everything I stand for
Lol why
More like a blower than a welder
Very slow method don’t make a video if you don’t know what your doing
I will try to do it with Woodbex plans.
