I found it really curious that the inside of Hank's building was completely lit and the entrance to the building from the outside was completely blacked out as if the power was off. From the moment I saw fuches and Barry driving around escaping from the homicidal wolf child in the previous season, I knew theirs was truly the best relationship, sure both of them had problems but still you can see how much fuches loved barry

We came into the series expecting fuches to turn out as the main antagonist with Barry being the hero who eventually stops him, only for it to end with Fuches becoming the hero with Barry being more evil than ever
Fuches was a piece of shit most of the series, but in the earlier scene when he first saw John you could tell it was like him seeing his grandson, and him willing to risk his life to protect John just goes to show he does still have some good in him. Really says a lot about his character and it made me like him a lot more. At the end of the day, he still cared about Barry even after all they had been through
Fuches was the only person who ended the show with some measure of inner peace, despite being a terrible person, because he came to terms with who he really is and accepted it and embraced it
One of the most masterful parts of writing the Fuches character was how well he knows his man. He knows exactly what to say to anyone in any situation to get the result he wants. He could’ve walked out with multiple weapons and pointed them at John and/or Barry and said you let me walk away or the kid dies. But he knew Barry and how much John must’ve mattered to him to have a child as a fugitive. So he also knows if he does this, there’s an excellent chance Barry will see them as “square”. Until the end Fuches is a master at reading the room. He knows how to provoke Hank to start the gunfight and he knows Barry won’t harm him if he rescued John. So true to form here.
Stephen root not getting an emmy nomination for this season makes me not give a shit about the emmys at all anymore. He was the highlight for me this season, the way he expresses himself in this scene with facial expressions and no dialogue is fucking masterful.
Me encanto como fuches reconocio que el fue el culpable de todo lo que le paso a barry y no queria repetir el ciclo ahora con su hijo por eso se lo devuelve y regresa a la oscuridad como un verdadero raven
This reminded me a lot of Breaking Bad. Fuches and Barry have been partners and enemies. In the end, rather than enact his revenge, on his old companion/betrayer, Fuches kicks off a quick killing of a big group of guys, jumping on someone to save them. Then he sees his old companion/betrayer one last time, and they nod to each other and walk away.
In Barry, central characters constantly give up happiness in pursuit of their petty desires or habits. Fuches fell victim to this multiple times, but what is truly fascinating about his transformation is how Barry was just as bad for him as he was for Barry. Fuches constantly put himself and others in danger in an effort to control Barry, and that was his tragic flaw just like Barry’s was his rage and Gene’s was his ego. Once Barry was gone, he finally became his own man. Prison didn’t just force him to become independent; it made him realize that he had neglected his own strengths, one of which being the ability to accept himself for both the good and the bad. His last conversation with NoHo Hank really highlighted that truth. It’s crazy to think Fuches’ happy ending was never a beach or a mansion filled with beautiful women, but rather the capacity to accept himself for who he is while surrendering petty grudges and helping the people he wronged. If it weren’t for John, that could’ve easily been the solution for Barry as well, but both of them together would’ve just led to the same toxic cycle. Barry escaped; Fuches found freedom.
i like how the lighting illuminates half of fuches face at the end. it probably wasnt intentional/had any meaning, but i like to see it as even though he made barry's life chaotic and was manipulative, he still was one of the only ones to have barrys back
Fuches is one of the most, interesting, complex and well written characters of TV history. He's funny, despicable and adorable at the same time. He changes his heart every time bc despite what he tells himself, he truly cares about Barry, and at the very end he finally proves it. Maybe it's not a "redemption" arc but it's definitely amazing character growth. Definitely one of my top 3 favorite characters in the show.
Maybe I'm looking too much into it, but I like how his demeanor went back to his old self. Once John was saved, the Raven swagger was gone, and he was back to Fuches again.
1:15 just realized barry was praying to be forgiven so long as he saved his family and died for them, but fuches deprived him of that, as if to say “no, that’s not enough. you need to earn your redemption like i did: accept what you did and suffer for them.” and when barry was finally about to do that and hold himself accountable for his decisions, it was too late.
Fuches is the one who truly changed and, if not redemption, accepted and found peace with himself. I thought he was full of bullshit, but the guy really became someone else.

We came into the series expecting fuches to turn out as the main antagonist with Barry being the hero who eventually stops him, only for it to end with Fuches becoming the hero with Barry being more evil than ever
The Raven lives in the shadows
This reminded me of when we last saw Walt and Jesse together
Fuches was a piece of shit most of the series, but in the earlier scene when he first saw John you could tell it was like him seeing his grandson, and him willing to risk his life to protect John just goes to show he does still have some good in him. Really says a lot about his character and it made me like him a lot more. At the end of the day, he still cared about Barry even after all they had been through
Honestly damn near every single scene from this episode could be a clip! I anxiously await barry’s death to be released on here
oh, wow

Fuches was my favourite character 😂😂
2:34 Fuches jogging away lmao
Nearly every scene with Barry and Fuches was filled with jokes and dialogue. Great that no words are shared in their last scene together.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” - Carl Rogers
Fuches was the only person who ended the show with some measure of inner peace, despite being a terrible person, because he came to terms with who he really is and accepted it and embraced it
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
A long a pious life is the funniest line in this episode
Fuches really redeemed himself with less than 5 mins of screen time.
Best scene in the show.
Quothe the raven "Nevermore."
-Edgar Allen Poe
I was hoping to see Fuches’ reaction to Barry’s son being named after Barry’s dad.
Season 4 Masterpiece
“Quoth the Raven, nevermore”
Bravo Vince
Stephen root not getting an emmy nomination for this season makes me not give a shit about the emmys at all anymore. He was the highlight for me this season, the way he expresses himself in this scene with facial expressions and no dialogue is fucking masterful.
Fuches has more than earned his redemption he is the one who truly changed by excepting who he really was and saving Barry’s son.
That's so Raven
2:07 the breaking bad ending, and the nod at 2:26
Me encanto como fuches reconocio que el fue el culpable de todo lo que le paso a barry y no queria repetir el ciclo ahora con su hijo por eso se lo devuelve y regresa a la oscuridad como un verdadero raven
I love how Barry and Fuches’ final farewell paralleled Walt and Jesse’s from Breaking Bad.
Saddest scene in the show
In Barry, central characters constantly give up happiness in pursuit of their petty desires or habits.
Te amo fuches
He was like a father to him
i like how the lighting illuminates half of fuches face at the end. it probably wasnt intentional/had any meaning, but i like to see it as even though he made barry's life chaotic and was manipulative, he still was one of the only ones to have barrys back
In any (well made) movie or show like Barry, the lighting for every scene is very intentional in story telling and what’s meant to be portrayed
Completely agree!
1:15
just realized barry was praying to be forgiven so long as he saved his family and died for them, but fuches deprived him of that, as if to say “no, that’s not enough. you need to earn your redemption like i did: accept what you did and suffer for them.”
and when barry was finally about to do that and hold himself accountable for his decisions, it was too late.
Best scene in the show
Pretty sure this was a direct nod to jesse and walter final scene.
