      I just binged this series and he seemed like a former tough guy before he took in Barry. He became a incompetent wimp afraid of everyone and relied 100% on barry to save him always. After getting beat in prison he found his old courage and really took control of his life and pride again. He even risks his life to save Barry's kid at the end. I know it's a comedy and everyone but barry is incompetent and almost always fails but fuches kind of did have the only good end of the series.

    • @sterlingarcher74
      @sterlingarcher74 Рік тому +6

      @@dontcare7086 It's hard to imagine WHAT he did before essentially being a talent agent for assassins. He admits in the last episode that he served, but didn't see action (I think that was when he met Barry's father). It's pretty obvious throughout the series that he's nowhere near as capable as Barry, or many other characters- but he's extraordinarily intelligent and manipulative. I imagine he was in accounting, construction, or some pedestrian job where he's rubbing shoulder with mafia types (maybe the Chechens)-which led to him being a hitman. Maybe he stole some money and needed to repay a debt, which is why he pushes Barry so hard and picks up a new protégé immediately after Barry quits the first time. Either way, I think Fuches embodies the "fake it til you make it" archetype. Everything he says is a lie, the respect he gets isn't really earned, and he's always spinning a web of lies to further his own agenda. And yet, he's the only one to escape the consequences all together.

      @frankiehernandez6232 Lol we find out Fuches was literally just a cook in the Army, and Barry's dad saved him "during" Vietnam not "in" Vietnam so he really never got any conventional warfare training.
      However, it seems incredibly obvious Fuches somehow someway joined the CIA afterwards, the only plausible way I could possibly imagine how he manages to save Barry from ending up in Leavenworth as a war criminal for 25yrs for the unjustified killing of a non-combatant. That also jives with his whole manipulating aura, his lust for control over every situation and Barry (his 'contractor'), the ability to split and divide and pit forces against each other, the way he looked when Barry got back from Afghanistan the slick suit and clean appearance (vs this grubby hitman manager we meet in Cleveland in E1). I'm glad we never got definitive answers for all that too, the mystery makes it way better just like Gustavo Fring's backstory from Breaking Bad.

    I don't care if it doesn't make sense canonically; I want a spin-off with the "Raven's Flock" and Fuches' family

    Spanish dude: Ok guys look, instead of speaking of this piece of shit movie, fast and furious, has nothing to do with what is happening now. This is a serious matter , the love between the boss and his woman is the most important here. (sort of?...i'm a portuguese speaker, so bear with it me)

      I'm guessing Portugese folks understand Spanish a bit like Italians do. Not the same languages, but enough similarities in both to get by?

    I didn't care for the fourth season, nor the time skip - they all changed so much, they were essentially brand new characters that we got to know for like, what? 4 episodes? But little scenes like this, when the show remembered there was some comedy in it's dark comedy was really nice.

      It wasn't the worst series finale but it was my least favorite season and a bit disappointing simply because it just wasn't as packed with as much stuff that made me literally laugh out loud like the other seasons. This season was just a bit too dark and although the show has always been dark humor it usually had equal amounts of absurd hilarity to balance it out and was something special.
      This time around it was just a bit too dry, heavy and depressing for a dark comedy and felt more like a wacky surrealist drama. It had its moments, specifically The Raven scenes which redeemed it a bit.

    Bill Hader wants so bad to be Quentin Tarantino...this show goes off the rails a lot in a cartoonish way but thinks its redeemable because the characters are fallable. Henry Wimkler saved the show...

      He's out of line, but he's right. We can't have Quentin Tarantino forever, so we need someone to fill his shoes, and this show was a perfect example.
