In this video, we’re going to talk about the risk of calcium supplements, primarily calcium carbonate.
    What is calcium carbonate?
Calcium carbonate is a form of calcium that’s basically limestone. It’s rocks, and it’s in many of the most popular multivitamin supplements. You would be better off chewing on the rocks outside-it’s not meant for humans.
When you lose stomach acid, your blood pH becomes more alkaline too. When the blood becomes too alkaline, you can’t absorb calcium. Calcium is very alkaline. You need a very acidic stomach and the right blood pH to absorb calcium.
Vitamin D takes the calcium from your stomach and concentrates it into the blood. From the blood, vitamin F takes it into the tissues and bones. If you’re consuming calcium carbonate and excess vitamin D, and you’re not consuming vitamin F, you’re going to have a lot of calcification problems. A good source of vitamin F is flax oil.
    Healthy sources of calcium:
    • Fermented milk sources (cheese, yogurt, kefir)
    • Greens
    • Almonds
    • Sea kelp

Thanks for your advice.. I stopped taking my multivitamin of 20 years and after a few days my heel spur was feeling better and then a couple weeks later, the stiffness in my left knee disappeared. My knee was an unexpected result. I used the apple vinegar and water like you suggested. Thanks a lot for your advice.

Among so many other benefits, when I read it can help clear blocked arteries, I jumped on board! My mother was advised by her doctor for years to take calcium supplements, and 3 years ago she had a stroke. She was always healthy for an eighty years old, ate from home most of the time, lots of veggies and good proteins, plus she went to the gym twice a week. The stroke changed everything, and I always wondered why this happened to her! Now, I have a better understanding! I can't say for sure the calcium supplements caused it, but I do have my doubts.

Just think about things and you'll get there.
For example: Eat fat, you get fat. We all know this is false. Insulin determines fat storage, not fat. Sugar impacts insulin far more than fat.
Now, alkaline: just because you eat alkaline, does that make your body alkaline? And if so, what part of your body is alkaline? Stomach? Sm-Intestine? Lg-intestine? Saliva? Skin? Blood?
Ingesting alkaline food doesn't mean you get alkaline. Your ph is determined by your body's homeostatic systems. Blood ph does not change (7.35-7.45) no matter what you eat, or else you'd die.
It does affect urine ph, but urine is how your body maintains homeostasis: it excretes whatever you have excess of. This is the way it is supposed to work.

Rube, we cant have a nutrition discussion without vegans flooding us with mis-information. The vegan or Whole Food form of veganism has not been proven superior at all. When corrected for confounders, meat eaters do just as well. There is absolutely nothing harmful about a keto diet that is done properly. Check your facts.

I play tennis regularly and do exercises with kettle bells and dumbbells. I have osteopenia, iron deficient anemia, and Crohn's disease (in remission for 2.5 yrs due to Humira). They wanted me to take alendronate, but I refused, figuring that I don't want to slow the disposal of old bone, but rather speed up the production of new bone. Never had any sort of stones. I've been consuming way too much of the calcium carbonate accidentally as it's in a lot of vegan milks! It's what makes the oat milks taste extra creamy and I was drinking about a carton a day which is 150% rda of calcium carbonate. Is there a way to flush this harmful substance out of my body?

This is so educating. I so didn't realise that you need vitamin D with calcium and then you need vitamin F to aid vitamin D. I will be looking to get my calcium from Sea Kelp or Coral Calcium. Except with Coral Calcium it's a case of which is the better of Fossilised or Non. Shan't ever get the carbonate form that's for sure.

I don’t know what to believe. Previous to this video, I saw a researcher from a medical university who said their research just came on a new discovery-that calcium carbonate in the “environment “ of their dish of cancer cells stopped cancer cells from growing. When they stopped the calcium cabonate, the cancer came back. Also a study on vertigo showed that balancing calcium carbonate with Vitamin D improved patients with vertigo by a huge percentage. Too much confusing information.

I have been taking Calcium elemental Microcrystalline Hydroxyapatite 1200 mg a day it has many other supplements in this (jarrow brand). Now I’m worried if I should stop. I don’t eat dairy, just started eating a little aged cheese. Had leaky gut doing much better, but many food allergies. If you know anything please help.

He has made new videos that answer all the questions. Magnesium D3 and K2 is what most people need. Some need calcium too, if they have digestion problems etc.
Zinc and vitamin b6 (in the form of p5p) is also very important for magnesium. (That is why they made the "ZMA" supplement. ZMA has the normal type of vitamin b6, get p5p to be sure.)

Apparently one of the side affects is " narrowing vessels" with calcium. We didn't know and found out after, after my husband had a stroke and has a narrowing vessel on the right side of his brain. We found out and he refuses it now but still has multiple mini strokes and surgery is too risky. First stroke was in 2021.

Calcium carbonate is basically Tums. So taking that every day is going to mess up the stomach lining because of the rebound acid as well which will more than likely lead to histamine intolerance.

So I am taking both calcium (as calcium hydroxyapatite, citrate, aspartate, alphaketoglutarate, lysinate ) along with magnesium, phosphorous, and potassium. I aslo drink raw milk once daily for a protein shake which uses natural egg protein. I am taking 4,000 iu of D3 as well. None of this is for making bones stronger etc. I am taking these for my muscles to help them work well as I do my strength workouts.
At 65 yrs I am building muscle much better than I would have thought possible. My pancreas do not produce insulin so I am taking that with meals or when glucose is high. I am very insulin resistant so I take about five times more than most diabetics do to reduce glucose levels. All this insulin results in weight gain, which is why I resisted doctors suggestions of taking insulin for so many years and I tried many other things. I am trying to leverage the insulin's steroidal properties to make sure some of the weight gain is muscle, figuring I may as well get some good out of it.
I was raised on raw milk and I still drink it daily and I have been taking one 500mg tablet of the calcium for activating the muscle cells, so is this OK, or am I in danger of too much? I do want to get maximum muscle cell activation for contraction.
