The rest of the Asians don't really think like you do.
Asians will continue trading with Japan but what they had done in the past was beyond horrible.
By bombing the pearl harbor, empire japan wanted to dominate China,Korea,Vietnam, the Phillippines and the rest of the Asia killing and destroying when none of them had done it to japan.
I do not know just WHERE you study the history but the purpose of studying it is because history repeats itself.
I'll wait another 100 years to see if they are not trying to beef up their military power with all the money generated from the trading with the rest of the world.

I always enjoy your videos and seeing your way of life. You always show parts of Japan that I would love to see one day.
Our family appreciates your perspective on N.Korea at the end of the video. Japan and USA make a strong Alliance, one that NK would be foolish to challenge. We all hope that peace prevails.

Salvelinus leucomaenis, the whitespotted char, is an East Asian trout in the genus Salvelinus, called iwana in Japanese. Both landlocked and ocean-run forms occur. The landlocked form typically grows up to 35 cm (1 ft 2 in), and prefers low-temperature streams. The seagoing fish typically grows to 70 cm (28 in) long. The largest reported specimen was 120 cm (3 ft 11 in) long and the oldest was nine years old.

Yamame (land-locked) trout/salmon . . . "One of the most popular species for Japanese stream anglers are no doubt cherry salmon. Landlocked cherry salmon or yamame excites the hearts of dry fly anglers and sea/lake-run grow to full salmon attracts spey anglers into large coastal rivers. Landlocked fish show large par mark with black speckles with particle of red along its lateral line and this remarkable colorization give them the name: jewel of mountains."

Thank you again for letting us vicariously enjoy your fishing trip and beautiful country. It is, indeed, ridiculous for North Korea to threaten Japan, Guam and others in the region. I am sorry for the anxiety that it must cause you and your people. Know that the US has the will and the ability to respond to such aggression and will do it's best to protect our allies. Someday, I would love to see your land and enjoy the beautiful streams and mountains. Happy fishing Dr. Wako!

Thank you for your upload. Regarding your concerns; it seems to me that the nation most capable of dealing with North Korea isn't the United States, it is China. If China were to decide that the regime in North Korea didn't serve their foreign policy interests it would cease to exist, by fair means or foul.
There is a complicated, and dangerous, power game being waged, and I can only hope that an accommodation can be found between the Americans and Chinese that would make the 'mad dog' policy disappear, not least for the benefit of the long suffering North Korean people. I hope that the expansionists, both in the United States and in China, can be pushed aside for the long term interests of us all.

Dr. Wako has explained in other videos, the large fish spawn to the ocean and only the small ones remain, so if you are going to fish and eat, it is going to be small fish in certain streams. He knows his wildlife ecology where he lives.

  • @buddhamack1491

I have one of the original Temagami knives from Helle designed by Les Stroud. They later changed the design slightly to remove jimping on the spine that was deemed useless. It's very soft steel, though easy to sharpen. Can't strike a fire steel well at all, so they made a higher carbon version.
I've had my knife since the very first production run and used it for many years. It's a nice knife but I have found better blades since.

    • @virtuovice
      @virtuovice  7 років тому

Even the carbon version doesn't strike a fire well because the edges of the spine are slightly rounded from the sides.

I learn something new every time I watch your videos. "Sashimi on the rice is sushi." Do you bring water with you for cooking and drinking, or do you drink from the stream? Also, the U.S. and Japan are inseparable allies. You can count on President Trump and the American people to support you and defend you, including Guam.

    • @virtuovice

We have water clean enough to cook with from the stream. I suppose NK already has nuclear warheads and ICBMs. So I don't hope the US will attack NK from our side but wait it collapse itself. The weird Kim cannot launch nuclear missiles from his side because he has them to live rich and long as we do. He cannot live without them. Take care.
