I love your ideas but you hang those picks with 2 hooks the hard way, just get picture wire to go across both hooks then you only need one nail or screw in the center. Thought maybe that would help, keep up the great work!
Ok but he doesn’t get enough appreciation for how hard he works. Every week he comes out with a new video. He has to think of DIYs, or find somewhere to decorate and make a plan for it on top of editing EVERY WEEK. Thank you Drew you’re and inspiration and I strive to have your work ethic. ❤️❤️
He has a million subscribers. He's certainly doing something right. It's the hair I tell ya. LOL! He's got that charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent and he makes it all look easy.
Here's a tip for ya. When using a paint roller, don't press too hard on the wall because your forcing paint to the roller edges which will leave roller edge lines. Instead gently place the roller on the wall and let gravity guide the roller. Go slow so you're not slinging paint off the roller. Also when drilling a hole in a nice piece of veneer furniture place a piece of masking tape over the hole area to prevent the veneer from splitting while drilling.
Weeeellll, that depends. In Germany we mostly have ingrain wallpaper in rental apartments and you better put some pressure on your roller if you want full coverage! Fully agree though with smooth surfaces. Don't load the roller with paint as well. It's easier to add than to take away
Haha I keep on seeing you commenting some videos I watch while I'm subscribed to your channel, how weird it is 😅 Can't wait to see your home decor journey !
JUST for revision LOL 🥰 Tip 1 : Add vertical space (e.g shelfs) 2: An additional seating/ storage( storage seat/ decor ladder) 3: Add a mirror ( reflects light making small space look larger) 4: Linear prints ( strides make appear things taller and wider) 5: Hang curtains as HIGH as you can !! ( always works😉) 6: Rugs ( adds separation to a space and consolidates a particular area) 7: Sconces ( perfect light solution and doesn’t take space + Drew says they look cute 🥰) 8: Lighter colour palette ( makes a small space looks airy and large) 9: Storage drawers ( maximizes space and looks organized and hidden away) 10: Colour Again !! ( lower down colours to make it cohesive)
Wow thank you for showing us this home security system, I was very worried about moving out alone. I knew I wanted a home security camera and was looking for what would be best but this is definitely the best I've seen so far. I feel way better about loving alone now.
I ordinarily never click on the bell icon for youtube channels. I don't fancy the flow of useless videos other people tend to produce, especially if I only preferred one or two from their list. However, I want to see all of the videos you create. Infinitely many of your videos really hit the right topics, you're interesting, plus you are so well educated on the subjects of decoration and redesign. My apartment has been driving me up a wall because of the scarcity of money, including all of the hand-me-down furniture my family gifted me. I have no idea how to decorate or add accommodations, so this video furthermore many other videos you've uploaded, are a huge help for me. Thank you so much!
My small space tip: use plants!!! real or fake greenery/flowers add so much life to a small space and really help to stop it feeling stuffy and claustrophobic 🪴💐
We’re making over our tiny bedroom at the moment using your tips! It looks SO MUCH BETTER, more grown up, cosy and using the little space we have appropriately! Thank you!
I can relate to this very much! My hubby and I live in a tiny condo. Space is very limited. I had someone once tell me to add more storage to my space when I was clearing out my hutch. Instead of adding more storage, I opted to get rid of stuff I didn't love. I was able to take my parent's old hutch and really make it feel beautiful. I was able to pair down the stuff that I didn't need or love. I think adding more storage to a small space can also make your space feel even smaller. Pairing down your items, and taking stuff out of their original boxes really helps. Right now my biggest struggle is my art room. For 9 years, I have not been able to clean it and organize it. This year, my goal was to finish that project. The hardest part is organizing everything by category and pairing down stuff I don't use anymore. Plus, I have a lot of clothes that hang in that closet, where I store my art supplies. Making the two work together is so challenging. I just want this project done!!!
Love this!! I actually just bought my first home in Brooklyn,NY and started my UA-cam channel to document my home decor journey! we don’t have a ton of storage so this is super helpful!
Definitely subscribing. Trying to support as many from my community as possible. Can't wait to see what you do with your home. Congrats on home ownership!
We live in a tiny 2 bed house. Our bathroom is also our laundry and linen. Our entry, living, dining and office is a combined space. We have a sofa that’s also a sofa bed, desk with large iMac serves as our TV/office, ottoman is our coffee table/spare seat and lounge for sofa and dining setting is also an extra space for office too. Works for us and still have some things to add to make more functional like shelves as you mentioned as I have too many books that are shoved into a 4 x 4 cube storage and on my bedside.
Thank you for sharing your encouraging and helpful suggestions and examples. I really appreciate how well you show respect, consideration, and kindness towards your guests and viewers. Blessings to you, Drew!
YES!! The Ikea Linbyn Mirror. Not enough people talk about this mirror. I have it in my small walk in closet and it is my favorite! Totally changed the way I use that closet. I can see myself from head to toe but it takes up no floor space. Great tips Drew!
This video is such a lifesaver, I recently moved into an itty bitty north-facing space and I’ve been breaking my brain trying to figure out how to make it brighter and more comfortable!! Definitely doing the ottoman/tray combo and a mirror in my living room now 🙏
Great tips as always👍 Another dual purpose piece is a lift-up top coffee table where the top can raise to use as a comfortable work and/or dining space with storage in it too. Especially good for very small spaces where the isn't room for a desk or table or for anyone if you just like to eat in front of the telly 😊
Loved that video it was super helpful. I live in England and are homes and apartments tend to be so much smaller so we are used to making the most of small spaces, but these were still helpful ideas.
Drew I love how you have designed and decorated your apartment it’s fabulous and I am learning a lot watching your videos. My personal struggle is with color. I like a neutral pallet with some contrast I find myself getting stuck with to much monochrome or to much contrast. Could you consider doing a video on color alone? Showing how to style with neutrals using contrast. I’m always second guessing my color choices.
Also go to a paint store and they usually have brochures with 3-4 color samples that complement each other. See which ones you are drawn to and start there.
Hi Drew, do you know how much you have inspired and encouraged me? I even watch your videos to cheer me up when I feel blue, want to give you a big big THANK YOU!
This is so helpful for all the little downtown apartments. As a designer and brand owner I am struggling with space in my loft. Thanks to you I can hopefully figure out a solution. Thank you. 🥰
I’m redecorating a small living room. That idea of a bench ottoman you can use as a coffee table or seating AND storage?! Why didn’t I think of that?? So smart. THANK YOU!! 🖤
Another terrific job!!! When you mentioned duvet, I thought you were going to say what I’m doing now. My apartment is small and not a lot of storage space. So I like to just but pillow cases instead of pillows for my couch, but I’m also looking for a duvet to cover my existing bed comforter. That way, I’m not folding a big gigantic comforter for another. A duvet is a great space saver. Thanks Drew Congratulations again on 1 MILLION+
Omg!!! That lighting tip was soooo useful. I hate wires but I can't afford pulling cable through walls. So this is how you do it. Any suggestions for wireless picture lighting?
FINALLY!! I"ve never been this early before! Drew, you should know that BOTH today and yesterday, I went to Winners (TJ Maxx equivalent here in Canada), HomeSense, and Marshall's to find decor to spruce up my space. As I shopped I could hear your various theme music in my head LOL and as I walked to the cashier, I thought "Welp, that's what I get for watching Lone Fox". I've stayed at home religiously since last year so this was a big deal for me. Can't wait to watch this! I'm a newer subbie and love your content - hoping to see more small space makeovers this year! Edit: I was wondering where the video was since I saw your IG post about tomorrow (today) morning and then realized the time zone difference LOL.
This video was suggested to me. Glad I watched it. Really nice video, and loved how you showed your mistake with the navy blue wall. Thank you for the tips, I liked the easy panelling you did on your wall.
Your number 2 tip is number 1 for me! I think it’s the most crucial. Our couch we got from ikea. It’s a small sectional, but it lets out into a bed for guests. But our favorite part: it has a chaise so it has storage underneath! I practice minimalism so we’re always lookin for furniture with multiple functions.
Thank you for this video! My apartment is very small and the only place I had for storage was one surprisingly large walk-in closet off my bedroom. As I have a lot of art and crafting materials that need to be accessible, some friends and I put up shelves in the closet and I can store everything. Except my clothes. Do I have an Art Deco wardrobe that used to hold crafting materials, but now holds my entire hanging clothes, bags and scarves. And shoes.
Definitely needed hacks! Also, I think adding 1 large single piece of decor/frame on the wall instead of creating a gallery wall situation makes it look more polished and comfy. Tones of pieces makes it look cluttered.
Love all your ideas for small spaces. You are the "Grand Decorator of all Spaces." Looking forward to see what you will come up with in your next video.💕
OMG, it’s been two years since I watched the last of your videos. I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. 🙌🏽😍 Taking up notes on these tips. Thank you, Drew. 🤎
Thanks Drew! I always enjoy your videos. I fell in love with the Ikea Joxtorp green lampshade in the Hovet Mirror slide you showed. I couldn't find it on their website but I got lucky and just bought it on ebay. I'm redecorating a small bedroom and I'm definitely using some of your suggestions. 😃
Thank you for all the work you put into your videos. I do room makeovers as well, and know how long it takes to film, edit etc. The quality of your videos is next level 😊👍
O Drew you're a such lovely guy this is so evident! I wish you every happiness in your work and home life 💓 And your hunger, passion, talent and charisma shine through making it a pleasure to watch, which in turn inspires me. I get giddy at recreating your ideas so thankyou!!! Keep it up, from England x
This video is spot on. One of my tricks was to switch to tall dressers instead of the wide low ones. Also, to heighten the bed and use underneath for storage. You've included this one before.
Great tips!! I’m currently unpacking into our new house and it’s soooo much work! I’m getting too old for this, but a new job for Joe caused us to relocate from Atlanta to the North Georgia Mountains (I’m about 19 miles from Chattanooga, TN). We had been living in a hotel suite since 11/19/20 so it’s nice to have a place again! Plus, not paying $750 per week is also a win-win! Just noticed you have over 1M subs! 👏🏼🎉 Can I say, “I remember when”... LOL Hugs! 🤗
Great video, Drew! I think the only other tip I have for small spaces (and it's not a "decorating" tip) is to DECLUTTER if you haven't in a long time. I'm in a studio now and really struggling with this but still working on it and trying to power through.
I’ve found adapting the Marie Kondo method has been helpful. My life is not completely in line with her belief in Shintoism but changing my thought from what do I need to get rid of to what do I want to keep is so helpful. I’m no longer focusing on how much I’m getting rid of and instead now focusing on the pieces that I love and adore and wouldn’t want to live without
Looking at your colors, makes me want to run out an buy paint. One part of my dining room wall needs to stand out from the rest of the gray. You always inspire me Drew!!
Great tips! I have a small bathroom and wanted a higher shower curtain but they all seem to be the same size so I bought linen look living room curtains with a wide horizontal gray/white stripe. They look so nice they're light and airy, they definitely make a difference like you say with them higher and horizontal stripes add to the width of the space.
Love your videos 🌺. I would love to see a video on „how to diy a modern bird bath“. I like to watch the birds in my garden but they take their baths in ugly old buckets and flowerpot saucers that are filled up with rain water. They use it frequently so I don’t want to take it away but it looks messy and ugly. I like to change that to something pleasing to look at. I would looove to see a video with a unique Lone Fox Bird bath DiY. 🙏
Love it!!!!!! Drew, can you make a video for small apartments hacks when you can not drill holes or paint 😑 ....moving from a 3 bedroom home to a 1bedroom apartment....many thanks from Canada xxx
I wish I had a little office room for working from home because seeing my big work computer in my living room after work every day and on the weekend really brings down my mood. Maybe you have some tips on how to style a desk in your living room since I feel like a lot of us could use a nice space to work and live in right now.
i always love your videos! i would’ve liked to see a full shot of the rugs you mention in your apartment, separating the living room and dining area! :) hey also, i think it would be great if you offered a what would drew do service on your website! like maybe you only offer a certain number of spots per month so you won’t go crazy, but i think a lot of us would like your help with our place :) 💕

I want to live with you 🥺
Looking at your colors, makes me want to run out an buy paint. One part of my dining room wall needs to stand out from the rest of the gray. You always inspire me Drew!!
So glad you're feeling inspired!! Happy painting :)
Your editing is one of my UA-cam inspirations 😍😍😍
These are awesome tips! I’d love to see a video like this for decorating when you have small children or pets! I love your style.
That coffee table storage bench idea was great!
This is perfect timing, I’m about to move into a tiny student apartment this week!!
Love you Drew! Thanks for all your time! I am struggling with my small kitchen right now ugh 🤦♀️ ❤️
How can you even match the greenery with the wall !?😂😂😂 The space you design is amazing🔥🔥
Can you do a video for a small kitchen hanging storage on wall for pots and pans?
wow the curtains make so much difference. Loved the tips!

You are so good at it God bless you !
hey also, i think it would be great if you offered a what would drew do service on your website! like maybe you only offer a certain number of spots per month so you won’t go crazy, but i think a lot of us would like your help with our place :) 💕
