    About the Norden table, it's great in terms of space and I like that it's wood so don't mind the weight.
    The problem is that the "gate legs" make it very awkward to sit comfortably, as it divides the legroom into lop-sided triangles, so that's something that's worth keeping in mind, especially if you or your guests are tall, big, or have health or mobility issues that require accomodation.

      Yeah this is always my gripe with gateleg tables. Still a fantastic table for the price.

    I have had 2 Friheten sofas bought about 8 years ago. I felt they were aesthetically pleasing as well as practical. The models I’ve seen lately in the Charlotte, NC Ikea have looked smaller and shabbier. The Jatteboe is much more expensive but a much better investment IMHO. Thank you for the video!

    Really great video for clever and useful ikea finds. Taking the last suggestion a step further, they also sell a special bracket for mounting the Sonos bookshelf speaker horizontally. With the bracket, you gain a ledge beneath it, which has a built in wireless qi charger (which, while slow, could charge a phone overnight pretty easily). My favorite part of it is that there’s also a discreet-looking and higher-powered USB C port on its left side. This way you can charge devices that you can also sit on the surface ledge.

    We have the Ekedalen dinning table in the dark brown, we have had it for almost 5 years. We moved countries and needed something that was inexpensive and readily available. It's not a statement piece but I am not too precious about as we have a kid, it's easy to clean and practicality own over esthetics 😂. I would love to upgrade it, but I will wait a few more years before investing in something nice 👍🙂

    I use that first wheel cart in my storage room! It's soooo helpful, great in holding all the little things like cleaners, stove burner foils, etc. I also like the sliding door cabinet I got. I don't remember the name; it's a heavy beast, white in colour. But I have it in my living room to store extra food and smaller applicances. It's awesome! :D

    I would say look closely at the materials used for Ikea items. So many of them are made with particleboard/MDF, they won't last. The sofas you recommended all have low backs, don't support the head and therefore aren't that comfortable to sit on for long periods.

    • @un725
      @un725 5 місяців тому +2

      But that's why IKEA is cheap

      Particle board/MDF is indestructible. I have a TV console/storage unit that is more than 10 years old. I've moved 3 times and no damage.

    I have moved into a space which is one bedroom small and a huge lounge...was happy at first but then got annoyed with the spacious lounge since furniture needs to be put in which should cover the space eventually larger in size but hell EXPENSIVE . There is no space for laundry and kitchen is filled with cabinets. I am so confused now. These kind of videos make me happy and hopeful 🥹

    Good videos. But when describing products, you are switching back and forth from metric to imperial (inches) and vise versa, which is quite frustrating. It would be much easier if you choose 1 system when you talk and stick to it (probably the metric would be the best because most used), and show the equivalent in the other system (inches) on screen.

    • @reynardlowell
      @reynardlowell  Місяць тому +2

      Yeah I'll keep this in mind. I use metric myself but a lot of the audience uses imperial so I tried to include it but often forgot which one I used previously 😅

    I don't like the particle board. In the furnature, it falls apart. It gives the appearance of beauty, but it is so cheap. They do have metal furniture for TV stand I. Would trust that other cheap furniture? The metal is much better because the particle board. Falls apart.
