When Caballeron tricked Fluttershy into joining him, I immediately thought to myself "Dude, that pony reformed the spirit of chaos. You have literally no chance of staying evil throughout this adventure."
If I recall in "Daring Done" Daring Do did learn about her consequence in her adventure! Stuff like breaking Sonnambula's state at Saddle Arabia, a fruit cart and leaving without paying at a Hotel! So even Daring learn she's not perfect and should always take responsibility for her own action despite her own intention!
I love how Fluttershy is consequently always the one to reach out and understand others. Even if they really turn out to be bad, that doesn't mean they don't deserve kindness and that's great lesson :)
I really like the reason why Ahuizotl and Garble acted the way they did. Garble thought what makes him unique and what others (like his Sister) like him would have him bullied, so he became a Bully instead. Ahuizotl was trying to protect the Jungle’s Artifacts, but his attempts may have been greatly exaggerated so somepony could be a Hero.
the lesson did make me think. i mean look at bullies at school. they're not mean without some sort of problem at home that makes them mean. this is why i love fluttershy. it's leaning more toward adults, but kids can certainly relate to this.
There are people who do not understand fluttershy and I love how this shows her best aspects. She is willing to give anyone a chance and hear what they have to say. Some might call her naive for it but she is just looking for the good in anyone, even those others dismiss as villains. That does mean that she can get taken advantage of at times like we see not only here but with the Discord reformation, however in both cases she was able to make a powerful enough impact that it was able to save the day with kindness and understanding rather than a fight.
Also season 1 Fluttershy would NEVER have even attempted this so I will defend that to anyone who tries to say she regressed again. It’s only because of her development she even attempted that.
Honestly, I was impressed with how Fluttershy helped Caballeron, Daring, and Ahuizotl see the errors of their actions and make amends with Daring and Caballeron promising to not take anymore artifacts from Ahuizotl's basin that could threaten his guardian status and then working together on their next books to sell to the ponies of Equestria. Though that does bring up why Ahuizotl is tasked with guarding the relics when he threatened to use one of them to unleash a massive heat wave back in Season 4...
Looking back at this episode I definitely believe that it is always a good idea to actually know the whole story through BOTH perspectives cause some see a hero others a villain and my theory on Grogar is that it might've been a misunderstanding that just kept getting worse till he ended up getting banished somewhere. Cause I am pretty sure that his reign wasn't tyrannical and he created the "monsters" as a way for the ponies to be less xenophobic toward other species.
I *LOVED* the character development in this episode! While I saw Caballeron from a mile away, I was still pleasantly surprised by the explanations provided by Caballeron and Ahuizotl and how, shall I say, humanizing the episode made them. All of this character development had me happy and giving the episode a solid 9/10. It is not nearly as good as Frenemies or, in my opinion, The Last Laugh, but aside from those, as well as The Summer Sun Setback, it is probably my favorite episode from the second half of season 9.
@Artur Ferrão Actually it's 800 yrs of sweltering heat and it could've been just a ritual, sort of like how tribes make sacrifices to gods to bring them good fortune. Ahuizotl and his pony tribe refer the ritual as ring placing ceremony, it also doesn't seem like the first time Ahuizotl done the ritual. The sweltering heat could've refer for the sun to continue bringing heat to the Equesteria. I'm not sure if the rings themselves have actual power, the only ring to effect the environment was the last ring and that effected the temple only so that may also be just a trap.
I gave that episode an 8.5/10 Super Mushrooms, I gotta say, that was an interesting episode, although, Fluttershy can be pretty manipulative, but her kindness in particular made Dr. Cabelleron and his henchmen put on trust on her, luckly, Ahuizotl turn out to be the guardian, not a villain, it was a happy ending for the Daring Do episodes
I was surprised that Dr. Cabralron was willing to change despite his sly and deceitful ways would lead him not to be trusted doing his own book was a good idea and I like that Fluttershy was using her niceness to calm the animals and Ahuizoti.
So in a way, what Fluttershy did to Cabilaron, is in turn what she or anyone does to the villains, show them kindness, and maybe, just maybe, they become better people and be able to be kind back. We've seen it with several of the redemption stories, Sunset, Starlight, and so on. In fact, this episode kind of reminded me of this scene in this MLP EQG fanfic called Integration, were we get a flashback to Sunset before Rainbow Rocks, were EQG Fluttershy gives Sunset Angle to hug and Sunset starts crying and asks why she can be so nice after everything she's done to her and the others. Fluttershy basically says that being mean won't help the problem it will only make people want to be mean back and when someone is deprived of kindness for so long they can only be mean and cry at any shred of kindness they get like Sunset in this scene. And that is why Fluttershy is in a 4-way tie for my best Pony.
I just watched this episode as well and it came out legit right when some people I know got into a HUGE argument because of misunderstandings. They, as well, were pony fans. Both sides were running mlp servers and the admin of one was actually roleplaying as Daring Do xD it involved one server (the one that didn't have Daring) telling the one with Daring about a concerning issue with their server that could have them taken down, and we were trying to keep that from happening. It was misinterpreted into them thinking they wanting to destroy the server, and sadly, the relationship is very flimsy and the server seems to be slowly sinking. Hopefully they learn from their mistake and do better next time...
I don't remember who said this but I remember hearing a quote that's most applicable in this situation. "There is no one that you can't learn to love if you hear their story." such a lovely quote.
Fluttershy can see that everyone has their own story. Their own way of looking at things. And maybe giving time to those people to understand their story can change them for the better. That's gotta be one of the best messages on kindness in the whole series
Thank You! Finally! Someone that likes this episode. Not only I agree that this episode is great but I also agree that Fluttershy is the best. She is my favourite pony after all. Great video DrWolf. 👍🏻🎆
My Fave Ponies at the 1rst Place : Twilight, Fluttershy, Luna, Derpy. They're unique in their ways. They all have flaws but they learnt to live with them; specially Fluttershy *heart melting*
Beautiful episode with epic surprises and an amazing twist ending. Fluttershy continues to prove her usefulness and awesomeness. Well done element of kindness /)
This episode was really enjoyable, I did like how Fluttershy was gonna be the main reason to put everything together, Rainbow Dash, who has been friends with Fluttershy and Daring does sometimes jump to conclusions, but it’s always best to hear both sides of the story, after seeing this episode, it’s been one of the things I really love about Mlp
Fluttershy is indeed best pony, i enjoyed the episode it certainly provided a lot more insight about Daring Do,Caballeron and ahuizotl, *especially ahuizotl* ....too bad it's the final Daring Do focused episode in the fim series.
This was just a episode full of cute. FlutterShy is so kind, that she tamed down the bad guys. Her kindness just makes it all better. Even Dr Calalleron and Ahuizotl couldn’t even resist her kindness. Her kindness is so strong, that Discord had to resort to cheating at the game to win and it was shown at the beginning of the series. FlutterShy IS the element of kindness, she holds the virtue of kindness. 10:20
While I did enjoy Fluttershy’s role in this episode, I feel like this episode was a bit of a wasted opportunity when it came to exploring more of Daring Do’s character. I mean I agree with you Dr. Wolf that I think this episode should have been more about Rainbow Dash realizing that the pony she looks up to isn’t all that infallible. And maybe even explore more of Daring Do’s backstory on why she became both an explorer and author and why she keeps her real life adventures secret from the public, but of course knowing the show they wouldn’t dive into a character’s backstory unless it has something to do with a life lesson.
I honestly enjoyed this episode. New perspectives, a great moral, Fluttershy being best pony, and giving some more characterization. I'm surprised no one is talking about the fact that most museums are temples of cultural theft.
While that may be true, it doesn’t really justify the villains’ means. A “guardian of the ruins” wouldn’t attempt to sun-scorch the land for 800 years, and if it really was about a museum, Caballeron should’ve tried talking to Daring Do _before_ tarnishing her name and kidnapping those close to her.
I have to say the episode is really hilarious especially when everyone is telling the truth. Nice lesson in episode. This reminded me of a video I saw from watchmojo.com known as top 10 rude celebrities. The ending blew my mind. But I couldn’t stop laughing from Allie-zodo becoming an author. It was no big surprise that fluttershy was able to befriend the daring do villains because she befriended the lord of chaos. Still it’s nice to tie up loose ends with daring do adventures and etc.
i was thinking the same thing ahuizotl beening a gauedian really come out of no were i didnt like that part it feels like it undone every thing Daring do has done was will pontless if he really wanted to he happen so many times y didnt he just talk to her i agree fluttershy is best pony in this one and the leassen was good but i leave with more qustions then i come in with i think with ahuizotl as a gaurdian really dont make sense i feel this episode a ok in my eyes and it the low pont so fair and sorry for lot of bad spelling i cant spell to save my life
As he says in the episode his more violent actions are simply driven by his anger at ponies constantly stealing his relics and ruining his standing with his kin, he's lashing out at the world for that. Remember he's still not a straight up "good guy", rather a neutral guardian, not evil but not above violent actions in service to his mission.
@@sovereign9645 but if they're taking the rings out of the temple to *stop* the drought (I'm assuming it's a now-defunct weather control artifact) then too bad, we're protecting ponies.
@@windwalker5765 Again he's only *using* them out of anger, if they weren't stolen and scattered in the first place and the ponies stopped interfering I doubt he'd be using them as a weapon.
For those who are looking forward to G5 of MLP, If Fluttershy really is going to be a unicorn in that series and her personality comes out the same as Fluttershy in the FIM series, then I would really enjoy the G5 series if her sense of compassion has at least somewhat of a positive affect on her magic.
also i like how big bad monkey cat thing guy ( i know his name i'm just never sure how to spell it XD ) is revealed to not be evil but a temple guardian he's not trying to rule the world by doing this stuff with all these treasures he's just trying to do his job by protecting them from who he sees as the villains cause they're stealing his stuff
Seeing how Fluttershy handle all that in that episode is starting to make me think that maybe Celestia should have chosen Fluttershy to be the princess of friendship instead of Twilight because Fluttershy seems to have this magic touch that I can guarantee that everyone not just in the mlp universe would value, but also everyone in real life would value, which are care, kindness, sympathy, love and compassion for everyone, especially babies and animals. Fluttershy also seems like she would probubly be the most ideal friend for not just Discord, but a lot of former villains or emotionally lost characters. Like Starlight Glimmer, Chancellor Neighsay, Queen Novo, or Tempest Shadow (Fizzlepop Berrytwist; which ever it is) especially. Because it seemed like if anyone like these characters just gave Fluttershy a chance to understand them further, instead of doing what they did do in previous seasons and the movie, then maybe she would have offered them something they needed to help them put all their emotional memories aside. Even the most hard to forget memories like Tempest Shadow's (Fizzlepop Berrytwist's) unstable magic due to her broken horn or Chancellor Neighsay's/Queen Novo's paranoia with opening up to or even trusting "any creature" outside of their own kind. Twilight on the other hand seemed like everything she does is because she seems to have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in wanting to be the most ideal person and that everything must be done by rule books. As in maybe for everything she did from the movie to now was because either she does not believe in "bending rules" or maybe her worst fears are actually, not what they showed in the season 9 premier, but doing things outside of books like standing up to evil or in the season 9 case believing that ruling Equestria does not require any books what so ever. As in maybe Twilight's real worst fear is doing something called "Getting Out More" and "Relaxing."
Well the problem with the is her magic know how. That and remember Luna Eclipsed. Fluttershy would’ve way too scared to help Luna cause of her fear of nightmare night
@@phantomdragon3893 would that be the same with many of the other former villians like Starlight Glimmer, Chancellor Neighsay, or Tempest Shadow (Fizzlepop Berrytwist; which ever it is)?
I searched everywhere for this episode and I found it. Also, when I heard Auizotl say that he’s the protector of the ancient artifacts that Dr. Caballeron and Daring Do have been stealing, I thought Auizotl wasn’t such a bad guy after all, but that didn’t explain why he wanted those Rings of Scorchero to create a ritual where the Fortress of Talacon would make Equestria go into eight centuries of heat. What, did he wanted all living beings in Equestria to die of heatstroke? I know Princess Celestia controls the sun, but still. One more thing. There are two things missing in the Daring Do books. A villain that wants the artifacts for their power to rule the world, and a villain that wants them for their beauty and keep them as some treasure hoarder.
This is an actual life lesson episode. I dont like how others get mad over one tiny little thing and they make it a big deal out of it. But anyway this was another nice upload :3
You're right. No matter how famous you are and how good you are at what you do, if a small droplet of information about you that's bad is placed for fans to see, it will spread like a virus and it will turn fans against you in the blink of an eye. A lot of celebrities are going through that and I feel sorry for some of them. I'm really glad this episode brought this up and it made me look at Ahuizotl in a new light. I always thought he was another villain for Daring Do to fight. It never occurred to me that he was actually a protector of the temples Daring and Caballeron go to. Props for the twist; I didn't see that coming. And, yes, Fluttershy is at her best in this episode and I love it. She will always be my number 1 favorite mane 6. I give it a 8/10
Dashzilla93 I think this was executed rather poorly. Daring did nothing wrong at all, yes she stole Ahuizotl’s artifacts, but the issue there was that she didn’t even know that he was protecting those to begin with, and you can’t exactly blame her for thinking that he was an evil monster when his first response was to try to MURDER HER, instead of just telling her. To blame Daring for Ahuizotl trying to murder her constantly is just victim blaming. This is just a retcon, and a badly done retcon too. Yeah him protecting his temple doesn’t explain or justify him attempting to cause eternal night and sink a whole town just last season, especially since that location was a Egypt styled place and not his jungle. I think this twist was horribly executed, because it made many of his past actions not make sense, which is the exact opposite of what a plot twist should do, it should make past actions make MORE sense, not less.
What's funny, is that I had originally misread the episode title on Equestria Daily's countdown clock as "Darling Doubt." I corrected myself when it came to actually watch the episode.
I agree that Fluttershy's strength is her weakness. She is easily manipulated, but does empathize with others. The episode did slip into the pulp fiction dialogue and shoehorned take away, but given that it's both MLP and a Daring Do episode based on pulp fiction and 'Indiana Jones,' that's not surprising. They clearly knew what they were doing, because I saw the subtlety of how they mentioned the spider cruelty and then Caballeron did the same thing later, after having been careful to mislead Fluttershy up to that point. It would have been better if Fluttershy had noticed that. There were also some continuity problems with ponies knowing that it wasn't fiction, and the resolution seemed kind of Deus Ex Machina, but I still had fun overall.
@@alejandroyava I know, but I mean the series in general. There are few Saturdays left and MLP FIM (G4) ends. :,,( That's what I mean. Daring Do can find other places, that's obvious. Greetings
I was expecting an adventure were Fluttershy helps Daring Do stopping an artifact from awakening the Sphinx. I think those Daring Do adventures do work out.
I never would've seen Auhuizotl's twist at the end there! Though it doesn't make complete sense, because... well, weren't the Rings of Scorchero going to cause a lot of problems if Auhuizotl had been allowed to place them? Unless he was just so desperate that "rendering the area inhospitable" seemed like a good way to keep the artifacts in said area...
This was a nice episode and brought up the idea of different perspectives. However I got one nagging issue; Ahuizotl turning out to be a guardian thats just trying to protect the artefacts that Daring Do and Caballeron keep stealing. While I like the idea that he was only a villain from the perspective of Daring Do's books, that kinda goes out the window when you remember he tried to cause an unending drought using those golden rings in the episode "Daring Don't". That wasn't an adventure in a book but one we saw in action.
Missantropony, thespio, and voice of reason review this episode : Angry , yelling, swearing calling, it a stupid episode, saying fluttershy is too naive trusting villains like caballeron, not seing the message of this episode, losing their mind Dr wolf review this episode : calmly explaining the message of the episode, not yelling , swearing , or losing his mind and saying fluttershy is the best pony want to hearing caballeron .that's why your the best doc you calmly review an episode even it having a bad writing on it. unlike them
Fluttershy was definitely the hero of this story. Her kindness always helps her in hard situations. Nopony ever asked Caballeron or Ahuizotl why are they doing this. Nopony ever looked to the other side of the story. Fluttershy was the first one to ask the ,,bad guys" what's their point of view. That was a great lesson tho. Sometimes villains are not bad as you think. Sometimes you have to know how they feel to do that. Because everypony needs kindness. I hope that The mane 6 will use it as a lesson for the final episode... Still it was great to see Daring Do, Caballeron and Ahuizotl team up and become friends. It was great to see that... other side of the story. These are the last episodes of the show, so if this was the last Daring Do episode, for sure it was the best!
White Horse Production Nobody ever asked Ahuizotl his side of the story because his first response was to try to KILL Daring, how exactly can you expect someone to ask you about your life story when they’re trying to escape one of your death traps? It’s all his fault for not even explaining the situation in the first place.
This one was a weird one for me Doctor Wolf. I enjoyed it and wrapped up the Dairing Do storybook. How many episodes do we-? *looks at the list of Season 9 left 5 episodes left* crap! Ladies and gentlemen it's winding down to the series finale.
I was impressed with Dr. Caballeron. Unlike in Daring Done, Caballeron’s performance in Daring Doubt was actually convincing. Or at least convincing enough. As for Ahuizotl's reformation, I feel like it contradicts his characterization in Daring Don't. He actively tried to destroy the planet itself by raising the temperature of the planet. Am I really supposed to believe that he was just being overprotective? That's not to say I have anything against Ahuizotl's reformation. I think that was a creative way to do it. But a continuity error is a continuity error.
Actually it's 800 yrs of sweltering heat and it could've been just a ritual, sort of like how tribes make sacrifices to gods to bring them good fortune. Ahuizotl and his pony tribe refer the ritual as ring placing ceremony, it also doesn't seem like the first time Ahuizotl done the ritual. I'm not sure if the rings themselves have actual power, the only ring to effect the environment was the last ring and that effected the temple only so that may also be just a trap.
What this episode told me was that the world that Equestria resides on is held together by magic and duct tape... It needs an alicorn, a lot of unicorns, or a magic artifact in order to keep the sun and moon operating around Equestria, (regardless of which bodies revolve around which) This particular basin relies on artifacts in order to have a functioning ecosystem and if our previous encounter with Alizoutl is anything to go by the area needed a drought to stabilize, there loss can destabilize a region. And apparently their are methods with artifacts taht could allow all that magic to be lost. Our environment may be fragile but apparently Equestria's is made of paper mache, or Raditz...
Sun And Moon is on the wrap up and it won't be long before it's over. For one thing, I may not miss Sun And Moon because of the damage it has done to itself.
What this epsiode did well was redeem the two villians without destroying Daring Do's character, after all from her perspective she sees a greedy man trying to steal artificats for money, and had no idea Ahuizotal was actually a guardian and from her perspective has tried to kill her multiple times. Of course now we get the perspective's for both of them, of the three Daring and Ahuizotal both have good motivations while Cabelleron didn't. But that's why we got his perspective first and why Fluttershy's time had to be spent the most with him. He's the one that needed to change the most. Personally my own wish was that they would become friends, but still agree to compete with each other since they would find not doing adventures too boring. Of course I realize this is only my own wish and won't get in the way of enjoying a fantastic episode and with the show ending I can make up any headcannon I want for what happens after this regarding these characters.
While Ahuizotl may be the guardian of historical artifacts, I doubt that changes what he tried to do with the Rings of Scorchero in Season 4. I mean, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that causing the Tenochtitlan area to be super heated isn't exactly the best way to 'protect' artifacts. It's killing off life, because nothing can survive that heat forever.
When I first read the episode´s synopsis, I was skeptical on two fronts: On the one hand, Rainbow has had at least three focus episodes. While I love Rainbow, that is kinda unfair, ESPECIALLY because Rairity only got 1 IN THE LAST SEASON On the other (And this is more personal) I was reluctant to see an episode addresing the fact that someone can and will have another take on something you love. I don´t think I´m emotionally prepared for an episode addresing the show's ending just yet. After seeing the episode I was a bit happier, because it turned out to actually be Fluttershy's last episode. Especially because I found "She Talks to Angel" fun, but inappropriate for her last outing. Its strange for me to talk about Flutts, seeing as how she started out as my favorite but then was heavily overshadowed by the likes of Rarity or Sunset Shimmer. And yet, I could never bring myself to dislike Fluttershy because I´ve always identified with her insecurities and fears. And, as one of the other comments in this video pont out, she is a champion of Flawed yet Virtues in an era where "Empowerment" is so over represented. Which encapsulates why I like this show as a whole. It does its own thing without trying to emulate other media sentiments. On the second front, wasn´t much of a fan of the episode. The concept I though they were going for, while slightly uncomfortable, would have been a much more poignant episode to have near the end. Instead I felt it harkened back to the show´s slighlty cornier first seasons, with Ahuizotl suddenly being a good guy and the ending being kinda lame. A great last show for Fluttershy. A lesser episode in one of the show's best seasons.
Few day later after watching your review, I found some review say this complete trash. Screw those suckers said this episode suck, they just jealous Fluttershy is too awesome in this episode.
I loved the episode, but I noticed a bit of a continuity error in that auizotal is shown to be the good guy all along, but he was collecting the Rings of Scorchio (was that what they were called? Idk) to doom the land to years of unrelenting heat... Why? What does that have to do with protecting the artifacts?
So the guy who was going to plunge Equestria into 800 years of scorching heat is in fact a benevolent guardian trying to safeguard treasures? What even is continuity anymore?
6:14 I did, I mean, I've kinda sorta research all about different types of Creatures and Titles for me to Create a Story and from the title of "Guardian" was always secretly, or should I say carefully chosen it's holder of title, from a Ring to a Gate that leads somewhere Dangerous but to make seems to be a Peaceful and Worth of Trouble, I've made multiple Guardians for Multiple Gates and Worlds in my Story that it shows that they are carefully chosen for the title. I made one of my Guardians (aka my Profile Pic) to always look lazy and choose to stay in one place but in actuality, his ability needed him to be on that state to allow his unending Magic and Element to roam the Whole Solar System to quickly just end and talk to any intelligent threats while needing to move to stop things that needs to be Physically Stop, he even acts as a Grim Reaper of people who supposedly have died yet they didn't to fix the world's balance, he lost his ability to show emotion yet he still needs to do them or he'll be sent to a world that'll make you slowly forget everything like being reset back to what you were before because not only he has three immortal daughters and multiple realities to protect, but as well as the memories that he never wants to loose since he knew nothing about his past before he was found by the wife he had no memory about.
I was actually kind of hoping Daring do was the villain, and. Dr. Caballeron was the anti hero. It was pretty cool that ahizoutal wasn't just some malicious spirit but a guardian of thr valley but that makes a couple of ither episodes troubling
+Joseph Dellavecchia Since he wanted to keep people from taking the relics, I say the idea came from while he was consumed with anger and frustration/failure over protecting the relics that kept being taken. It clouded his sense of judgement. In other words, he desperately wanted to keep the relics safe that he did not think this fully through and/or is too caught up in his frustrations to realize this fully. I bet if he did succeed, he would probably realize eventually he screwed up and probably be conflicted on protecting the relics like this would lead to everyone's suffering.(pretty sure what ever being is in charge of him would not like the fact everything ends up dying) I think they could have done that part better so people won't think its poorly done and contradicting his characterizations in his debut. I think it just needed more details/info for it to click better.
@@nightshroud9671 i agree with you 110%. I have always said tbe fundamental flaw with this show is "it is a 22 minute children's show with a revolving cast of writers with an editorial mandate for toys". So many episodes could be cleared up if the show was longer to airtime to certain things , was willing to go deeper, with a unified vision, or being forced to include things.
I watched this episode around the same time as my first viewing of the black panther movie I ended up imagining ahuizotal and killmonger just chilling together
When Caballeron tricked Fluttershy into joining him, I immediately thought to myself "Dude, that pony reformed the spirit of chaos. You have literally no chance of staying evil throughout this adventure."
Not when Fluttershy has something to say about it, that is.

I really like the reason why Ahuizotl and Garble acted the way they did.

The "Deluxe Spa Package" completely went over my head! Nice call-back.
Dr. Cavalieron/George R.R. Martin: "Take a look! It's in my book!"
Rainbow: "But I don't have to take YOUR word for it!" *lol*
I loved the pun/reference they gave Caballeron's pseudo name. First JK Rowling, now George R.R. Martin. XD
I don't know how I feel about that.
At least Caballeron puts his books out on time.

I like it when Fluttershy's listening to everyponies problems.
That episode was the one where Fluttershy shine the brightest
I don't remember who said this but I remember hearing a quote that's most applicable in this situation.
"There is no one that you can't learn to love if you hear their story."
such a lovely quote.
Fluttershy can see that everyone has their own story. Their own way of looking at things. And maybe giving time to those people to understand their story can change them for the better. That's gotta be one of the best messages on kindness in the whole series
Phantom Slay 5612 KP I mean, she did the same with Discord.
There's always another side of the story. All we need is an open mind and kind heart^^
Thank You!
And that is the key, they are not perfect and would be the first to say that. They know what flaws and limits they have and learned to live with them.
I love this episode...
Beautiful episode with epic surprises and an amazing twist ending. Fluttershy continues to prove her usefulness and awesomeness. Well done element of kindness /)
Yeah, this ranks among Fluttershy's best moments in the whole show. I'm so proud of her. She's definitely my favorite of the Mane Six.
Fluttershy is the BEST PONY EVER!!!
In my opinion, I like this episode too.
Thespio, Voice, I'm sorry!
But Doctor Wolf is 100% correct.
Screw those who hate my guts.
Have you seen the finale yet?
@@SleepyWhistles Yes i have, and i know you have as well.
Not me, I'm trying to avoid spoilers until the official release date. Emphasis on _try_ though, THANKS UA-cam THUMBNAILS/RECOMMENDATIONS!!!
I think silver quill is going to really like this episode, both for how well fluttershy is portrayed and how it connects to his fallen heroes video

This is definitely one of my favorite episodes. And it definitely shows just how important Fluttershy is to the series.
R.I.P. Phyllis
Fluttershy is at her best in this episode
I can see Caballeron having a good side, but Ahuizotl? Did everyone forget EIGHT HUNDRED YEARS OF *SWELTERING HEAT?*
Welcome to the Southwest. It's not THAT bad. Maybe it was a decision made by his 'boss'.
i was thinking the same thing ahuizotl beening a gauedian really come out of no were i didnt like that part it feels like it undone every thing Daring do has done was will pontless if he really wanted to he happen so many times y didnt he just talk to her i agree fluttershy is best pony in this one and the leassen was good but i leave with more qustions then i come in with i think with ahuizotl as a gaurdian really dont make sense i feel this episode a ok in my eyes and it the low pont so fair and sorry for lot of bad spelling i cant spell to save my life
As he says in the episode his more violent actions are simply driven by his anger at ponies constantly stealing his relics and ruining his standing with his kin, he's lashing out at the world for that.
Okay that settles it. Someone get Fluttershy a Halo and a Harp. Because she in an Angel amoung mortals.
For those who are looking forward to G5 of MLP, If Fluttershy really is going to be a unicorn in that series and her personality comes out the same as Fluttershy in the FIM series, then I would really enjoy the G5 series if her sense of compassion has at least somewhat of a positive affect on her magic.
if it is sitll fluttershy. i am hoping that that isn't the case.
Fluttershy is amazing. ♥
also i like how big bad monkey cat thing guy ( i know his name i'm just never sure how to spell it XD ) is revealed to not be evil but a temple guardian he's not trying to rule the world by doing this stuff with all these treasures he's just trying to do his job by protecting them from who he sees as the villains cause they're stealing his stuff
@@phantomdragon3893 would that be the same with many of the other former villians like Starlight Glimmer, Chancellor Neighsay, or Tempest Shadow (Fizzlepop Berrytwist; which ever it is)?
rd's "say whhhaaaaaat" was pretty classic tho
I wish they had an episode of Fluttershy interacting with a trophy hunter.

I love this video! And you are right, Fluttershy is best pony!
Fluttershy can change villains from who they is from evil to good like garble a bully to spike and now he nice to him
the ending of the episode surprised me and did not see it that way, also it was a good way to close out the daring do before the show ends next month
"I kinda wish we coulda had more of these throughout the series."
I hope that won't be season 9's epitaph.
What's funny, is that I had originally misread the episode title on Equestria Daily's countdown clock as "Darling Doubt." I corrected myself when it came to actually watch the episode.
Throughout this entire episode I kept saying stuff like "seriously? Wait, seriously? SERIOUSLY!"
The hero of the episode was Fluttershy 😊And that ending for the adventures of Daring Do made me laugh but a little sad. It's over.. :''(
Maybe in the series, but Ahuizotl made them promise not to steal artifacts from the Tenochtitlan Basin. They could find other ruins to plunder.
@@alejandroyava I know, but I mean the series in general. There are few Saturdays left and MLP FIM (G4) ends. :,,( That's what I mean. Daring Do can find other places, that's obvious. Greetings
At least some people are writing fan fiction stories
I personally thought this episode was okay, there was a few missed opportunities but I still think it’s okay.
I was expecting an adventure were Fluttershy helps Daring Do stopping an artifact from awakening the Sphinx. I think those Daring Do adventures do work out.
I love fluttershy so much holy frick
Fluttershy has always been best pony :3
Missantropony, thespio, and voice of reason review this episode :
Angry , yelling, swearing calling, it a stupid episode, saying fluttershy is too naive trusting villains like caballeron, not seing the message of this episode, losing their mind
Dr wolf review this episode : calmly explaining the message of the episode, not yelling , swearing , or losing his mind and saying fluttershy is the best pony want to hearing caballeron .that's why your the best doc you calmly review an episode even it having a bad writing on it. unlike them
I myself was surprised at the ending of this episode daring do and Dr c co writing while upstaged by ahuizotl

The sweltering heat could've refer for the sun to continue bringing heat to the Equesteria. I'm not sure if the rings themselves have actual power, the only ring to effect the environment was the last ring and that effected the temple only so that may also be just a trap.
this just confirms what i've been saying for a while now #fluttershyisbestponyforever
my favorite ponies are fluttershy and applejack because they're such admirable people 👍
What this episode told me was that the world that Equestria resides on is held together by magic and duct tape...
It needs an alicorn, a lot of unicorns, or a magic artifact in order to keep the sun and moon operating around Equestria, (regardless of which bodies revolve around which)
This particular basin relies on artifacts in order to have a functioning ecosystem and if our previous encounter with Alizoutl is anything to go by the area needed a drought to stabilize, there loss can destabilize a region.
And apparently their are methods with artifacts taht could allow all that magic to be lost.
Our environment may be fragile but apparently Equestria's is made of paper mache, or Raditz...
Equestrias Environment is made out of that one Dragon Ball Villain who looks like Son Goku?
Huh, never would have thought of that.
@btamamura Oh yeah, you're right. Raditz was the Guy with the impossibly long Hair.
I like the fact that Rainbow Dash is getting copies of the latest Daring Do from A.K. Yearling.
Sun And Moon is on the wrap up and it won't be long before it's over. For one thing, I may not miss Sun And Moon because of the damage it has done to itself.

@@funisfun9531 say whaaa.....
The first time they show us that Daring Do is real is in the episode Daring Don’t
@@funisfun9531 so is Daring Do paying A.K to write about her or what?
I Can't Pick a best pony. Well its usually Fluttershy, Princess Luna, Princess Celestia and All of the Mane 7
When I first read the episode´s synopsis, I was skeptical on two fronts:
On the one hand, Rainbow has had at least three focus episodes. While I love Rainbow, that is kinda unfair, ESPECIALLY because Rairity only got 1 IN THE LAST SEASON
On the other (And this is more personal) I was reluctant to see an episode addresing the fact that someone can and will have another take on something you love.
Fluttershy is the best pony and she is my favorite pony. 😃
Rings of Scorchero. And it had nothing to do with protecting the artifacts, this is a retcon. And not a particularly good one at that.

Hi dr wolf fluttershy is my favorite pony !!!
I realize that fluttershy had an eneatype 9 personality in the eneagram ( it is my type too)
So the guy who was going to plunge Equestria into 800 years of scorching heat is in fact a benevolent guardian trying to safeguard treasures?
But why did he try to make Equestria suffer through sweltering heat?
@@leohino9211 Exactly. Unless that is some sort of allowed punishment? Just a completely unfounded hypothesis.
I bet if he did succeed, he would probably realize eventually he screwed up and probably be conflicted on protecting the relics like this would lead to everyone's suffering.(pretty sure what ever being is in charge of him would not like the fact everything ends up dying)
I think they could have done that part better so people won't think its poorly done and contradicting his characterizations in his debut.
