when splicing wires I would recommend using Solder Seal Wire Connectors as it both solders and gives you protection from having a short down the line. These connections are used in the Aircraft industry as Industry standard.
Great video! I have an 80W Monport and I’m going to do this upgrade and the air-assist upgrade - both from your videos. Thanks for all of the great tips, etc.

Glad it was helpful!
You do a very good job explaining things. Thanks
Thank you!
Thank you, this helped me get the job done. ✅
Hey that’s what I like to hear! Glad it worked out 😁
Thank you for the tutorial, what is the voltage on the led strips, 5V, or 12V?
It’s a 24 volt strip, I updated the description to include the Amazon link for people who are looking for them :)
Ei amigo, gostei do seu vídeo. Minha máquina é 30x20cm e também quero colocar iluminação interna. Você ligou os leds em 24v ou 12v?
Eu usei as luzes de 24v. Coloquei um link para os que comprei na descrição.
@@vanstray obrigado amigo. Vou pesquisar e ver se encontro aqui no Brasil 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
I might of missed it but what size gauge wiring are you using?
16 or 18, I think I put a link in the description for the set that I bought
Are you still happy with the placement? I'm getting ready to add lighting to my 3551.
Yeah it’s a nice even lighting and it doesn’t get in the way of anything
