Taurine sounds terrific! Thanks for tip. Pls tell me it is safe enough for our kidneys, and what side effects.to watch out for as far as kidneys. God Bless ypu ! Keep up great work
Ive been taking taurine daily for almost 8 years and it really helps with my energy levels and also helps with water bloat you can get in a bulking phase. It makes you look leaner and more defined. Also if you live in an area with a lot of air pollution it can help mitigate the damage done to the lungs and brain. Taurine also helps with anything lung related, for example being an ex smoker and trying to restore lung function quicker this is partly because it is the main amino acid in lung tissue.
@@ash9x9 Taurine is a regulator of fluid and electrolyte balance and helps reduce water retention. This means more water where we want it, in the muscles and body cells and less in the interstitial spaces, aka body fat. An extreme level of this bloating would be something like moon face which is normally caused by binge eating too much especially carbs and salt and not getting in enough potassium to balance it out, also too much aldosterone which is the body’s way of holding onto salt for whatever reason will have the same bloating effect. Taurine will help reduce this bloated look. Taurine also helps with burning fat during exercise, lowering body fat and potentially sparring some muscle glycogen, both mechanisms contributing to a leaner more muscular look. Creatine also goes very well together with Taurine, and will help stop the cramps some people get with creatine use. Which again is down to the electrolyte balancing properties it has. My main reason for taking taurine is because it helps me with my endurance power, like HIIT, cycling and things like hill sprints. I always speculated it’s because the muscles are better hydrated and saturated with electrolytes. Anything from 1g + will have a positive effect.
I am 80. I use 3g daily. Improved sleeping. Besides I take liposomale nicotinamide riboside+TMG+ptorostilbene;complex Magnesium glycinate+threonate+citrate; omega3. Daily walking 3-6km, table tennis training 3 times 2 oures weekly
My husband is no longer on insulin or any diabetic meds. Mega dosing vitamin B1 and B1 cofactors. Latest A1C in prediabetic range. He only modestly cut carbs but still has a soda daily, juice, even some candy but not daily. Recently he has eliminated all veg/seed oils and fixed his edema. God bless
@@life1042 80% of B1 in our bodies is found within the mitochondria. B1 is necessary to get all energy into the cells sugars fats and proteins. Vital for metabolism.
@@mikebreler9724 my husband takes 300mg of benfotiamine, a methylated B complex with B1, magnesium triple form, (he was taking magnesium threonate - passes blood brain barrier best - but that stuff is too expensive right now), 50mg zinc, and a choline supplement because he eats eggs sporadically. If he ate 3 or more egg yolks daily I would not have to supplement choline, he would be getting enough from diet. Titrate up B1 if you try it.
I watched a video about taurine about a half year ago and decided to try it. Even with other vitamins, my main problem was a few years of tiredness and a complete lack of interest in doing anything. It took about a week and a half for me to realize the change. I woke up that morning and actually started working on one of my hobbies. It took me a few weeks to realize that my mental outlook changed in a subtile but important way. I'm still taking it and almost always continue to have an improved mental outlook. I don't care about length of life, only quality of life. I'm confident this supplement is helping me, but I honestly can't say if it can help anyone else. (I'm 66 yro)
@@KelvindeWolfe I bought bulk generic capsules. They are 2000mg. For the first week and a half I took one a day. After I realized it was helping me, I decided to take one in the morning and one in the evening. The bottle recommends 4 a day.
I had a similar problem except I lost two fingers in a firecracker accident when I was ten. But since I’ve been taking taurine I grew back my fingers, plus two more! It may not work for everyone but it definitely works for me.

Anyone with a heart arrhythmia should absolutely try 1000mg 2 times daily without food. My mom and I both have it. My mom has had a debilitating arrhythmia for 30 years and read about taurine lessening or altogether stopping it. She was told she would have to live in a constant state of heart arrhythmias and that many people can live that way. She started taking taurine 5 years ago after being on many different heart meds for YEARS. She has had 2 small and very brief episodes since. I have not had any since I've been on it. Try it, nothing to lose and everything to gain.
I had an episode of A-Fib a few years ago, and during my research, I found that Magnesium Taurate is a great supplement for heart health and managing arrhythmias.
Well, here at just shy of 70 I don't have any medical maladies, eat moderately and healthily and I take only two supplements. One is 2x1000mg capsules of taurine and second is 2x300mg capsules each containing 250mg's of nicotinamide riboside and 50mg of pterostilbene. Some here may recognize the latter as being part of a product called "Basis" proffered by a company named Elysium. I take it (Basis) to foster mitochondrial health. Daily, first thing in the morning, I've been taking both with "Basis" having been taken for close to 10 years, and Taurine being taken for the last 2 years. Some may ask how I feel, etc. Well, I feel fine. I haven't noticed anything too overt in turns of positive impacts. Certainly, there have been zero negatives. But maybe that's the point? My body just keeps ticking along. I have noticed, by way of comparison, that I seem to have more "pep" than my peers, colleagues and friends in the same age cohort. I can just keep going all day and have no problems with sleep. So perhaps the regime I mentioned (above) IS working, and properly? I'm certainly not expecting to feel and look like I was 20 again. But the energy is there whenever I need it. But all that said let me also disclose this. Yes, I'm almost 70. Both my parents, now north of 90, are alive and while one (mom) is fading the other (father) is still motoring along and is viewed as something of a freak by his doctors. He has no maladies and takes no medications. Neither of them take supplements, at all - except possibly a 1-A-Day vitamin. So despite what I do the results might be more associated with good coding, meaning genetics, than any advantage rendered by the supplements. But since they're not hurting, I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and consider it all good. Just some thoughts. Sorry for the long-winded write-up. John~

Yes, and I'm adding "I don't feel anything" parameter isn't relevant for aging (nor for cardiovascular disease...we don't feel plaque accumulation, for example). The aging process is feeling-less.
is it possible to reverse "calcium buildup in arteries that was called age appropriate?" I was told my buildup was just that and when I expressed concern about this my cardiac doctor at the Cleveland Clinic told me she does not really feel that this is any indication of coronary heart disease nor should I be concerned, as it is just the way you age. I then asked her for a calcium score blood test but she does not do that normally in her treatment and told me very bluntly that my exam was normal period. I had to disagree. I do not want this buildup even if it was not excessive and was "normal" for my age. Can anyone here comment on their experience with this particular type of coronary artery buildup and if they were able to either stop it or reverse it? I know that taking Vit K2 in form of mk7 is what to do. But how much is recommended and how can I take an aggressive response to reversing this even though she told me 90% of all men develop this.. I would think that you cannot let this happen if you want to extend your life for as long as humanly possible. I need professional guidance imo. My aunt is 103 years old. She is wheelchair bound but takes care of herself. I also want to live that long but do not want to be able to walk and take care of myself. I can see now how your joints begin to deteriorate. @@gizmobentlyI assume you meant you do not want to NOT be able to walk ?? K2 mk7 yes but add vit D3 5-10k iu/daily as even if you get plenty of sunlight, given you are older you will synthesise it less so you need to supplement. Supplements definitely have their place but this obsession with them as some kind of wonder method for whole body rejuvenation is ridiculous. A healthy organic diet, proper breathing, fresh air, pure water, whole body joint mobility exercise can do much much more. Eat plenty of steamed potatoes, asparagus, zucchini, etc.

The truth is that all of these supplements work together as a whole, and to benefit from them you get it from your food. If our food was totally nutrient dense, health issues and chronic illness would be a thing of the past. The people who knows this, but keep pushing the agenda will answer to their own enemy inside. We, the people are lost, and is willing to accept anything that is giving to us, and the scientific world understands this, but continues to prey upon those with no knowledge, but I can say this with conviction that no stone will be left unturned as Mother Nature is an excellent judge of character. The INTERNET has provided us with a wealth of knowledge, but you have to learn how to do your own deciphering of information, and use it intelligently and share❤
Thoughts on some research showing long term taurine use can downregulate your neurons receptor sensitivity to Gaba? I paused my taurine use because of this, I think for now more research is needed. My concern is over the long term it could act like long term anti-depressant usage where some users unfortunately develop dependance on anti-depressants as long term anti depressant usage can gradually down regulate neuronal synaptic serotonin sensitivity in some individuals.
It can be. Extensive research is needed. But certainly majority of people does not experience adverse neurological effects from taking doses up to 3 grams per day. Been on and off the supplement for a year. No dependency at all. Try to mix it with food or coffee. Latter one causes arrhythmia.
Yes, It activates the GABAA and glycine receptors. I will make a video on it later this year. It's the main concern, but it seems after a while the receptor resists taurine and you get no effect in continuous supplementation. The lifespan animals didn't show any negative impact, but it's an important side effect to track. Taking with food also can reduce this effect.

Hi just a comment on how to interpret survival functions. You say that the mouse survival curve with vit E catches up with Taurine around 23 months, and do not recommend taking vit E for humans under 70. However, this is a misinterpretation of the survival curve. The risk of death at a certain age is the SLOPE of the survival curve (usually called the hazard rate/probability). This becomes less than the for the Taurine survival curve around 15 months: that means the probability of death for mice taking vit E who are 15 months or older is less than for those taking Taurine. The main benefits of Taurine are enjoyed by the younger mice (up to 15 months). Hence it is best to supplement with Taurine when young (mice below 15 months) and vit E when old (above 12 months). This is clearer if you plot the hazard rate rather than the survival rate, and indeed if you plotted the hazard ratio (vit E versus Taurine). I am 65, so I guess I should start vit E now!
I had not noticed it, but you are right. Actually the gap starts to close from the 9-th month. It would be very interesting to do a trial with taurine and replace it or add with vit E after the 9-th month.
An interesting observation! Maybe the researchers should have presented a survival function graph as well. Maybe the next time! This must mean that we should look for things giving another curve than we get for taurine on mice. Ideal would be if it started further out, and then contonued with less slope than the control group. A slope like the end of the vitamin E group! But it's not just the slope of the curve for one group by itself that's interesting. Shouldn't it be a comparison between the slopes of the groups at the same age? I have to re-watch the video to look for that. It's a little complicated to eyeball that, though!
@@HvdHaghen I guess adding vitamin E to the taurine supplementation would be better. I don't think we can compare survival curves between these group directly. The taurine group, for example, likely contains individuals which would have died much younger without taurine when it dives at the end! Still, survival curves reasoning is interesting and could give ideas for further explorations.
Another great and informative video! Taurine is very exciting and I look forward to more research being done, especially human trials, in the future. Early returns look good but the longevity field is littered with substances that looked good and then didn't pan out. But right now taking taurine may be a decent gamble. I've been taking 6g/day, an at one time, for a few months now. Hopefully it will pay off in the long run!
Isn't it odd that the study didn't include a second control group without diabetes? After all, it could be that taurine (in large doses) doesn't help or even harms people who don't have T2D. I think we must be careful about extrapolating too much from this one study.
Other studies have been made without diabetic mice (and other animals). I think it's very interesting to know that taurine has that robust effect on diabetic mice. It's expensive to do these studies. They would have needed many more mice to increase the number of groups. I missed a group with a different dose of taurine. But you can't have everything.
Interesting study, thanks for sharing, how can I verify that I can take tourine, with typical AFIB and high blood pressure medication like elequis, deltiazem, metoprolol, losartan, etc?

I will now start taking it before going to sleep at night! I look forward to better sleep and better energy throughout the day.
Rimon, I love your channel and donated to your wife's fund. I have a suggestion for you to consider. @rimon I learned about taurine from you and followed your recommended dosage for someone my age. I believe this is a great supplement and encourage everyone over 65 to take it. I am so glad I just learned from today's broadcast to take taurine at night and not midday. I strongly encourage you to alert your followers that it can make one very sleepy, especially at 7 grams a day. Many will not realize why their energy has declined and will stop exercising, going out with friends, and taking care of everything needed for a healthy independent life. This is a catch-22, for if this goes on for very long, they will actually become frail and not be able to reverse course.
We see dramatic life extension in short lived species (mice, rats) with interventions, but not so much in long lived species (e.g., monkeys humans). So if there is any carry over life extension effect at at all from mice to humans with an intervention,, we will likely see 5X less impact in humans. So if you see a 10% effect in mice, you might see a 2% or less effect in humans.
Many are deficient in Vit D. Which is also a hormone, affects 200 genes to improve many factors related to a 25% reduction in mortality and contributes to robust health. Combined with its necessary cofactors k2, Magnesium, Zinc, Boron (slowing D metabolism) and exercise. Has numerous layers of protection/improving: autoimmune disorders/immune system defenses, is anti-inflammatory (CV/diabetes), mental status/wellbeing, hormone production, sleep, recovery, anticancer effects etc. Missing Vit D status in those studies is a serious flaw in the multivariate analysis, as Vit D another fat soluble Vitamin besides Vit E imparts significant benefits. Vitamin E consists of 8 different kinds. But supplements stubbornly give only alpha-tocoferol! It's well known that this form disturbs the effect of the other forms. That's one probable reason why high doses of alpha-tocoferol isn't good for us. The overuse of alpha-tocoferol in multivitamins and everywhere else as antioxidant is a problem! By the way, the relation between vitamin E and vitamin C is that when vitamin E in our cell membranes is oxidized to protect the fat, it's restored by vitamin C. So, these two v8tamins work together to prevent the oxidation of the cell membranes. With only vitamin E it would be a cascading effect of oxidation. I guess researchers should give us, or the mice, every other form of vitamin E than alpha-tocoferol, and make sure we get enough of vitamin C to go along with that. (By enough, I mean someting in the order of 400 - 500 mg, and not the excessive doses some people belive we need.)
Exactly. I've made these two points over and over again on various venues....to deafening response. None of these reserachers ever talk about either the need to use Vit C with Vit E (otherwise the latter turns into a pro-oxidant)...or the need to use a full-spectrum Vit. E supplement in their research studies (otherwise, as you point out, the alpha 'crowds out' the other forms). Sometimes it feels like I've landed on Planet Stupid.
@@markusantonious8192 Yes, one of the effects of vitamin E is to stop run-away oxidation of the cells fatty membrane. And vitamin C restores it after being used up that way, so they work together.
I take the tocotrienol form of Vitamin E , as well as vitamin A every other day, may need to think about discontinuing them. The reason I take them is because I know my diet doesn't contain enough vegetables.
I have the same concern. I’ve reduced my E and A supplements to every third day. I may eliminate them altogether. I take 200 iu of Selenium every other day. I’m trying to reduce my risk of prostate cancer recurrence post radical prostatectomy. I do a 16 hr fast everyday as the norm, and a 24 hr fast one day a week.
2 ounces of sunflower seeds will give you about 100% rda of vitamin E. Throw in 2 ounces of hazelnuts and a half of avocado daily and you're up to 200%. Likewise, vitamin A is pretty easy to get through food.
@@generalnguyenngocloan1700 I would maintain the Selenium daily, increase Vitamin D3 + k2 daily intake to 20,000 IU or higher and also look into mega dosing with nightly melatonin (has anti cancer) benefits.
Taurine and NAC (a form of cysteine) are both sulfur containing amino acids along with methionine. There are also a lot of other supplements and foods high in sulfur compound, e.g. MSM, glucosamine, chondroitin, eggs, garlic, onions, et cetera. I would hazard a guess that there are diminishing returns and eventually negative effects of overdoing sulfur. For one, it increases acidity in the blood. While most of the PH diet and the like are taken out of context, if your body has to do too much PH buffering that is going to become a negative effect at some point. I personally do take taurine semi often, but not everyday and I tend to stagger it between NAC and eggs and the like. I think it helps to understand what first order effects the supplements and food you eat have and use them accordingly. I.e. taurine tends to increase exercise endurance when taken an hour or so before exercise, so on hard workout days I'll take some taurine. The next day while I'm recovering from the hard workout I assume I've increased my endogenous antioxidant needs and therefore take NAC to help increase glutathione production. I might also have eggs that day for the high amount of protein, fats, et cetera in order to help muscle recovery too..... hopefully these thoughts help!
Do you have any data to share, comparing your organ functionality and metabolic health indicators since beginning supplement use? Any true, measurable evidence you're getting benefit? Even a perceived reduction in pain, increased energy, range of motion, etc.? Stay well.

Hi I wouldn't worry about it. It's minimal to protect the oxidation of the fish oil. Fish oil consumes (and balances) this content in your body too... its good.
There's a lot of debate over whether it is the omega 3 in fish - or something else about fish - that reduces mortality. I wonder could most of it be the taurine in fish? Other food sources of taurine - like meat and dairy - could have more detrimental effects that offset its positive ones? Just a theory, but I do wonder.
Probably both! Remember taurine in seafood is in the 50-200mg per day...in the studies they showed efficacy in 4-8 grams and more. So you only begin to get the longevity benefits..
While I do believe there's something more than the omega 3 in fish for mortality/longevity, I now avoid regular consumption of seafood because of microplastics, heavy metals, parasites and other toxins. I miss eating it, but don't feel it's something to eat more than 1-2x a week at most.
@larryc1616 I am not sure. Antioxidants kill off the effect of exercises bc of reducing the oxidation. I actually used NAC + Glycine for about a year, 3-6 grams of each a day. I also measured my blood glutathione level. I didn't notice a significant change. I also can't attribute any other positive change to it.
I thought sulforaphane built the endogenous antioxidant system while things like NAC stimulated glutathione production often in areas it wasn't needed?
@@purelife8559 NAC and Glycine are just the limiting molecules for the body to produce glutathion. I would expect the body to regulate precisely how much of it is needed in different cells. If so, it shouldn't affect exercise... much. By the way, I utilize L-cysteine, not NAC, because I don’t want the extra effects NAC itself has.
Yes they use the Alpha-tocopherol. I suspect the other 7 types will have similar effect (on different organs, etc) because of their external fat soluble antioxidant effect.
It's wellknown that alpha-tocoferol blocks the uptake of the other forms of vitamin E. That could be the reason why high doses of it doesn’t seem to benefit us. I myself do take a multivitamin, which of course has only the alpha-tocoferol form. But I take a tocotrienol supplements (from annatto) at another time, so it won't be blocked. There are vitamin E supplements with all 8 forms of vitamin E. But so far, they all have too much of alpha-tocoferol.
Turkey has the highest amount of taurine, I guess I'll be eating more Turkey! I'm on the fence about supplements, I try to eat healthy and get what I need from fruits, veggies, and meat - I'm not opposed to supplements, I'm just very skeptical!
Hi, I really enjoy your videos.I find them very informative.I wanted to send it to my mom who is 81.But you keep saying when they reach the end of their lives Referring to the study...And I don't think that she wants to hear that.. I don't necessarily agree that 71 years old is at the end of your life. Even if you're Just. Using that term while you are comparing it to rats. Maybe you could just say rats Who would be the equivalent of a certain age?
thats because its a study from a medical university, its biased before you even take your coat off. Leaning toward finding and developing a drug. Using the word 'real' with 'medical' is a joke. thats like saying I got a 'healthy tan'
Consuming 35 grams of taurine everyday for a rat’s equivalent seems extremely difficult in order to attain the same results. In that regard, wouldn’t a mere 3 to 5 grams a day for a human be nearly negligible in terms of significant positive results?
The body produces some Taurine itself, but that's reduced wit age. I belive its about 1 or 1.5 g a day. To double that should have an effect. My guess is that something like 4 g is enough for all effects.
Hi, reviewing I found out that R-ALA and Omega 3 supplements that I take have Vitamin E and Selenium. Seems to be low dose, less than 10mg. I am 27, so I believe I should change the brand and look for one without E and selenium right?
Vitamin E, or more specifically alpha-tocoferol, is almost always added to fiish oil as an antioxidant. But usually in so small doses that it should be insignificant. 10 mg seems a lot for that purpose. One brand used rosemary for that purpose, though.
@@larsnystrom6698thank you so much for your answer. I found another provider which does not use Vitamine E in Omega3. The one I was using before was HSN Premium Omega3, and yes they state the vitaminE as an antioxidant in the formula.
Yes but we are talking specifically about the studies that aim to reduce the mortality rates, i.e death rate. The wording is correct. Death rate may well be the only reliable data we can find on something because the affect may not be visible in other tests, or we have no way of reliably testing what something is doing, other than the fact it keeps animals alive longer i.e mortality rate.
Adult diabetes is usually started by the food and drink we consume. The whole longevity subject is interesting. Taking a supplement will probably help a bit. I found Mg has helped my aching muscles. The thing that works is a whole new healthy diet, more walking, more relaxation techniques. Do a 4 month challenge ,stop eating processed food just for four months. For example: Eat fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, beans, chicken once a week, fish twice a week, start cooking and making salads and smoothies, limit dairy, no added sugar . A healthy diet with no processed food is available if you just do some research. Good luck
I started taking this and I have been alive since I started taking it so I am a living example of what you say that it’s an insurance against mortality. But I also eat good sometimes and drink water every once and awhile. I also sleep once a week so it’s really hard to say and that’s why I think the best thing you can do is combine taurine into a more extensive protocol just to be sure.
Your conclusions about the effects of Vitamin E in this study may be missing a key point about the type of Vitamin E used. Nothing beyond the abstract of the cited study is available for free; but it is very common for such studies to use one of the cheapest form of Vitamin E available: racemic alpha tocopherol. Aside from the fact that the alpha isomer is not the most common form of tocopherol found in natural foods, the racemic form of it (d,l-alpha-tocopherol) is COMPLETELY unnatural. As such, its effects on the bodies of rats (and humans) may be slightly harmful. It is not unreasonable to speculate that using a form of Vitamin E that IS found in nature (d-alpha-tocopherol) might be more supportive of health, both in the short AND long term.
@@WellnessMessiah Taurine may have been the "highlight" of the study, but they also spent time, effort and money on a separate Vitamin E and selenium group, and consequently you took several minutes to discuss Vitamin E, as well. Which is why I'm responding to your video. If you only wanted viewers to engage with you about the taurine, you should have made that clear. If the researchers only wanted to study taurine, they shouldn't have wasted time and money on Vitamin E and selenium. As to "They used d-alpha...", I assume you're referring to the single mouse study on which your presentation focused. But you didn't merely present the single mouse study; you offered ancillary evidence in the form of a meta-analysis from 2012 involving antioxidants that (supposedly) demonstrated a) no benefit and b) potential harm from Vitamin E supplementation. Unfortunately, the stated selection criteria for included studies is no more specific than "Vitamin E". But I'd bet good money that most (if not all) of those studies used the cheaper, artificial racemic mixture, because over the past two-plus decades I've been scouring the available literature, I'm pretty sure I've read many of those included studies. But setting that aside, unless YOU'VE read every one of the individual studies in that meta-analysis, and seen that most or all use the non-racemic d-alpha tocopherol (vs the racemic d,l-alpha tocopherol), whatever time you spent discussing it in your presentation is not enough to do it justice. The issue of racemic toxicity is important, whether you understand it or not. And as far as the single taurine-Vitamin-E-selenium study: the presence (or absence) of an "l" (d,l-alpha tocopherol vs d-alpha tocopherol) is easy to overlook, especially if you're unaccustomed to the distinction. Not seeing a copy-pasted quote or (better yet) the passage in the Materials and Methods section myself. I will default to my decades-long experience reading such studies. the vast majority of which even now use the cheaper, unnatural racemic mixture. And that doesn't even address the fact that the d-alpha tocopherol isomer is never found in isolation in nature; it is one of eight naturally-occurring isomers, the most prevalent of which by far is the d-GAMMA-tocopherol form. But honoring that fact would make such studies even MORE expensive, and funding for non-patent-able supplements is hard enough to come by. Believe me, I WISH biochemistry was simpler. But I value understanding over simplicity when it comes to health. I hope you do, too.

Why would it make you leaner or more defined?
I started taking Taurine a few months ago and my liver scores got about 10% better.

Yes, It activates the GABAA and glycine receptors. I will make a video on it later this year. It's the main concern, but it seems after a while the receptor resists taurine and you get no effect in continuous supplementation.
There needs a way to stop Accelerated Decrepitude to live longer .
LOL! I need that too!
Sick video! You nailed it
Healthy video, not ill. =)
Isn't it odd that the study didn't include a second control group without diabetes? After all, it could be that taurine (in large doses) doesn't help or even harms people who don't have T2D. I think we must be careful about extrapolating too much from this one study.
valid point, note taken
Other studies have been made without diabetic mice (and other animals). I think it's very interesting to know that taurine has that robust effect on diabetic mice.
It's expensive to do these studies. They would have needed many more mice to increase the number of groups. I missed a group with a different dose of taurine. But you can't have everything.
Interesting study, thanks for sharing, how can I verify that I can take tourine, with typical AFIB and high blood pressure medication like elequis, deltiazem, metoprolol, losartan, etc?
I have been taking 7 g of taurine in my daily lunch smoothie, and now believe this is why I feel sleepy for several hours afterwards. Thanks to other commenters who noted this effect.
Why so much ?? Isn’t 1-2g the recommended dose ??
Is 7 grams okay? Isnt it to much?

Also Tocotrienols vs Tocopherols both making up the Vit D classification, already show Tocotrienols at various doses are superior and beneficial over Tocopherols.

@@markusantonious8192
Yes, one of the effects of vitamin E is to stop run-away oxidation of the cells fatty membrane. And vitamin C restores it after being used up that way, so they work together.
I stopped taurine. Lowered ny blood sugar and gave me horrible headaches and foggy headedness.

How much taurine should I take? I don’t have diabetes.
Anything from one 1 to 4 grams a day. High dose of taurine is absolutely well tolerated with no problems at all.

Yes, because it seems to work on empty stomach and with food. Either way
Any anti-inflammatory is a good thing. I can tell a difference in my joints. It's not total relief but i know its there.
Today is for me day 32 of Taurine supplementation. Tomorrow is day 70 or 10 weeks of GlyNAC supplementation. In 2 months I will be 71 years old.
How many grams of taurine per day do you consume? I’m not sure what the minimum should be.
Stay well.

GlyNAC supplementation restored the glutathione (the body's master antioxidant) levels in 74 year olds to levels similar to 24 year olds with 16 weeks of GlyNAC supplementation. According to mouse studies taurine supplementation added 10 to 12% increase in lifespan with the mice. GlyNAC added a 24% increase in lifespan. I'm doing both. Hey Rimon, I'm 33 and taking codliver oil for quite a time now. Unfortunately it has additional Vitamin E with about 6mg in 10ml. Should I consider taking other supplements for gaining DHA and EPA or do you think this isn't a problem according to the fairly low dose of 50% RDA?

Yes they use the Alpha-tocopherol. I suspect the other 7 types will have similar effect (on different organs, etc) because of their external fat soluble antioxidant effect.

Havent some of the tocotrienols shown epigenetic effects as well?
It's wellknown that alpha-tocoferol blocks the uptake of the other forms of vitamin E.

Yes but we are talking specifically about the studies that aim to reduce the mortality rates, i.e death rate. The wording is correct. Death rate may well be the only reliable data we can find on something because the affect may not be visible in other tests, or we have no way of reliably testing what something is doing, other than the fact it keeps animals alive longer i.e mortality rate.

you must be a genius to ask a question like this.
It is not unreasonable to speculate that using a form of Vitamin E that IS found in nature (d-alpha-tocopherol) might be more supportive of health, both in the short AND long term.
thank you
Yes I had to buy this study... many studies I show in my channel I pay for. They used d-alpha...the highlight of the study is taurine, anyhow
