This is my first time speaking to you. I’m so sorry to hear about your wife. I too had a stroke at 50 years old. Had a blockage in my middle cerebral artery left side affected my right brain face and some mobility, but not much we went to a doctor that did therapy right away, this removed the blockage has shown by the MRIs I had they gave me 3 to 5 years with the blockage in there that was in 2004 and I’m still here. My speech was slow at first, but I can speak now pretty well I just mix things up sometimes, so that you had a hyperbaric oxygen chamber asked for that, but they would not give it to me. Doctors said it was for diabetics and my insurance would not uncover it. I had read that it would help, though there is also a doctor in Florida who discovered something with injections into the spine that helps repair stroke damage. I signed up for your page so when I find it again, I will send the name, I did not qualify because I did not have enough damage . The therapy the removed my clot was chelation therapy. mainstream medical uses it for removing lead from the body had to go to an alternative medicine doctor paid out-of-pocket, but it worked.

I take Calm magnesium glycinate powder (flavored) every night before going to bed. I dissolve it in water and drink it right down. I understand that this form of magnesium is more readily asimable. I suffer muscle spasms that start in and around my jaw and progress across my scalp and down my neck and shoulders and back as a result of a severe case of TMJD. The pain also keeps me awake. With magnesium, the muscle spasms are calmed down and I'm able to relax and sleep. I also found out that nasal polyps are a result of low magnesium. I remember reading about people who used to "take the waters" a long time ago. They either drink or soaked in naturally occurring hot springs or mineral waters. Many people claimed to have had great benefits from those waters. I used to think that it was their imagination but now I know that they were probably drinking or soaking in minerals that they were depleted of, such as magnesium, and there was good reason for them to feel better. Magnesium all by itself tastes awful and so did most of those waters that they drank and bathed in for their health.

When diagnosed with Afib 8 years ago I was lucky enough to have a cardiologist who told me about magnesium and it was paramount I begin to supplement it which would help maintain my heart rhythm. Now at age 72 I can say it works very well and has for 8 years.
Same here but, Dr tried putting me on drug for it and I researched it myself and have been taking magnesium citrate and afib (if that was even what it was) went away I'm 68 .
Interesting. I had an afib about 3 yrs ago, 2 nights in hospital and sugar went up heaps. Came out of hospital with BP meds blood thinners and T2D meds. No further instances of afib but my Dr continues to tell me I have a heart problem. Which type of Mag do you take
here's an idea, why don't they stop spiking the municipal water supply with fluoride and supplement the water with magnesium. they'd rather dumb us down with fluoride, then get us healthy wit magnesium.
People always ask why instead of how much. There is a whole lot of money in societies bad health. Those in control invest in the fix first then cause the problem then sell for huge profit. The biggest example is in war. We have to use this info and look out for ourselves. I never ask why, I now ask how much? Or just say Got paid $50 million - then I can say - I would’ve probably done it for half that amount. Don’t ask why just find out who is profiting and expose them by name for the whole world to see.

I've been taking magnesium glycinate and it seems to work well, especially since I take it before going to bed. Glycine works along with magnesium for sleep. I'm 73 and have boundless energy so I don't think I need more energy.
Thanks. Agree, very important. Been taking L-threonate and citrate forms of Mg for many years. Malate added recently. On top of eating a lot of greens. Mg blood tests have shown top, or beyond top, of ref. range.
Magnesium reduced anxiety so much for me!! It was actually a life changer and i was thinking maybe there is so much anxiety today because people are low in magnesium.
I have now watched 5 videos on magnesium. No one agrees, and I know less than when I began. On the plus side, I feel fine and probably don’t need any of this.
I've been taking magnesium for a couple of years now, I had a break, because I ran out. My blood pressure went up and I couldn't work out why my mind was racing and I couldn't sleep. As soon as I started taking magnesium again, instantly fixed things.
I am 60W. When I take my magnesium supplements…my energy goes up, my cognitive function goes up, I can think more clearly and methodically, my mood is great, my patience is high, and I am a happier person to be around. 😂. I take it daily. Mag. Citrate anywhere between 350 mg to 700 mg daily depending on what is going on…stress, extra exercise or stress I take the upper amount. BP is now normal vs 140/100 before daily magnesium, I drink it with my water all day long.
For information. I was diagnosed with Ulcerate Colitus, prescribed a drug which caused severe side effects so I had to cease using it. My General Practitioner suggested I try Curcumin ( the active ingredient of Turmeric), which worked very well. My Ulcerative Colitus symptoms are gone, and as a side benefit my FIBROMYALGIA is also gone. I'd advise anyone with Fibromyalgia, for which Doctors can offer NO MEDICATION, to try Curcumin, it's not a drug, no prescription, and it changed my life.
Thank you for another comprehensive video. Have been taking magnesium threonate for many years - started because it eliminated restless leg syndrome which have had since childhood. Seem to need 3 2000 mg before bed. In the morning take Mag IQ which is glycinate and is slow release. Also take taurine and glycine with NAC. Also take many other amino acids. Will be 80 in May on no drugs but started all this because of a severe osteoporosis bone scan April ‘22. Next one April ‘24 to learn if diet and making bone building yogurt (L- Reuteri )and supplements are now building quality bone . Have had many vertebral fractures and am hoping as they heal in 6 weeks, they are rebuilding strong bones. Thank you for sharing all your help!
Thank you for the K2 recommendation- yes, take K2 in MK7 form and in MK4 form. Again hoping all the supplements and the quality goat milk used for the l-Reuteri yogurt (fermented 36 hours per Dr. William Davis.) are building strong, dense new bone! Thank you.
Karen Johnson did you actually mean that you take three tablets of 200 mg of magnesium at night? As regards building bone you also absolutely need vitamin D and K2 and the proportions that I would recommend as a layman is 5000 international units of vitamin D and 90 to 180 Michael milligrams ( or it may be mg-- all OTC bottles of K2 are same but don't recall which it says🤔) of K2.
My go to Magnesium is made by Mother Earth. Been taking this for over 15 years. It is liquid and sublingual as far as I know it's the only source of Magnesium that works on the cellular level and that's a big deal when it comes to healing.
Have not mentioned the delivery form Liposomal encapsulation has a protective delivery above all these forms in this delivery by passes the acidic effects and enters the intestines completely eliminates any stomach effects and high absorbed availability. I take high doses liposomal and never experience side effects or upset stomach and experience immediate effects.
Great job with gathering the informations 🙌🏻 But here's my opinion as a medical student; you don't have to do this much experiment or anything... Just go with magnesium glycinate. It doesn't upset your stomach and gets absorbed very well. At any given nutritional condition you'll start seeing visible improvement in your energy level, sleep, muscle strength just after taking it 5-7 days consecutively. It doesn't give you loose motion like other magnesium variants yet it helps with the bowel movement. Bottom line is just go for it 💪
Magnesium glycinate can destroy sleep for some people. I've heard many comments about that. Magnesium taurate might be a better option, but I personally found it best to take magnesium in the morning and never later in the day.
@@prakashdesai534 You can take whole life; it is just a mineral. Too much of anything can offset balance, such as calcium vs magnesium. Both of those have effects on many things, including heart and bowels. My suggestion is take a magnesium supplement up to around 400mg a day, and do not supplement calcium; get that from diet. I find 200mg magnesium a day is fine for me.
I believe Albion Minerals is currently involved in a class-action lawsuit in the US. The lawsuit alleges that Albion mislabeled their magnesium glycinate as pure. The lawsuit claims that the plaintiff purchased Albion's magnesium supplements from Designs for Health and Seeking Health. Maybe I missed something?

Rimon.. I ❤that you take this consensus approach but filter it through your own understanding...also that you spend the time addressing a single supplement in such depth...perhaps you can do the same with say NAC or AAKG or TMG as examples among many

So from what Ive seen food is getting less nutritious and that’s because we are over farming so we need to require that soil have a certain levels of minerals. If we enrich the source which is farm soil, everyone will benefit. We should enrich it naturally with manure or other natural mechanisms.
I take magnesium but not every day. The other day I woke up feeling kinda lousy and felt like I was having "palpitations". I took magnesium and within an hour the palpitations were gone gone and I felt like myself. 😊
I have lifelong palpitations and this is the reason I've ended up at this video. I usually take citrate but after watching this maybe I need to switch to orotate.
I’m confused: at 18:56 you mention Citrate as a “Day” Magnesium in that it is energy-boosting and is non-drowsy. I take magnesium citrate in the form of “Calm” powder before bed, supposedly to relax. Am I missing something here? 🤔
It has taken me 92 years to learn that I needed Magnesium, so I now buy Nature's Bounty Magnesium Glycinate, 240 mg. Do I feel any different? No, but I always feel good, no matter what I'm taking.

I've never been a good sleeper my entire life. But now; before bed; a Magnesium glycinate and a Magnesium l-threonate and I'm off to la la land with super deep sleep. Game changer / Life Changer.
Great content- I have been supplementing with Magnesium as an overall health overhaul that I would not be able to say if that alone is noticeable, but I’m sort of taking it as insurance. I’ve been using all the forms mentioned except Malate and Toreanate. I think citrate is the only one you have to worry about loose stool … is is actually sold in liquid form as a laxative which you take before a colonoscopy so be careful with that one - haha.
@@garyssimo From UA-cam video's there are many Doctors say that the the Oxide version is the least absorbable form of Magnesium. But I have several different types so I can't say for sure about the Magnesium Oxide.
Any form of magnesium will give you diarrhea because it does so by magnesium pulling water out of your body and into your colon. It’s just a matter of dosage and the health of your colon. Some people can handle more than others. But take enough and you’ll have the runs, guaranteed. That’s why it’s used as a laxative.
I’ve taken magnesium citrate pills and never had any problems although I just switched over to glycinate. But what you said is hilarious. Colonoscopy is coming up soon and i haven’t really examined the stuff I have to take for that day but I will. 😆
@@garyssimoIt definitely can get you going to the bathroom if you are not careful. The citrate one gave me no problems. Now on glycinate ones. No problem either.
Fun fact, my friend got a horrible headache from Magnesium Glycinate. I suspect glycine acting as a known vasodilator, wondering if there is more to it.
I even started my grandma to take magnessium glicinate. She seriously had deficiency and we started low dosage we may increase the doasage in teh near future because she cant eat enough due to stomach issues.
Hello I take the equivalent of about 300mg of magnesium in the form of mag malate upon waking. I also take 10g o glycine per day, in two 5g doses, afternoon and night. Is mag glycinate relevant to someone who already takes glycine? Plus I also take taurine... Nac, ala, and a bunch of other stuff.
I now put my 3g glycine and 500mg in each water bottle (2) plus potassium and magnesium Recently I’ve started to take NAC and playing with that dose. I’m 65yrs
Your body needs all types why they all function differently, the brain needs L threonate . I've taken them all . I now use malate and glycinate . It all depends what you need . Thankyou for talking about this . I would take it with kelp .and some potassium .
I tried twice supplementing with 2 different types of mag and both time I had weird reactions. One made me feel weak all over and the other time I awoke from sleep with a racing heart. Kind of scared to try again so been sticking just what's in my electrolyte powder and occasional bath/foot soak.
Thanks for this informative video, I learned a lot from it. Can I ask you, when you said that your wife was "misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia", what was her real diagnosis? I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and myofascial pain syndrome (plus osteoarthritis in my neck, and spinal stenosis). Thanks! 😊👍
I use threonate, glycine, D3, tocotrienol, gg, moringa, liposomal C, k2,and a few others. Moreover, I fast 24 hours between meals, and only eat once a day, I get my taurine in my CD dulse use
It’s good you picked up that recommendation from dr. berg, but in general you should be careful listening to him. What he says is often completely at odds with widespread consensus in conventional nutrition science.
@@mr-booConventional anything is generally wrong. "Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect." - Mark Twain
What do you all think about potassium? Our bodies need so much and it seems impossible to get the recommended daily allowance. Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been hit and Miss about taking magnesium. I will make sure I take it-presently have Mag Glysinate 400mg day (when i take it!)
Without magnesium in the body early in the day, the potassium that is consumed does not get into the cell and is urinated out without getting into the most important place like heart cells
Yes, the issue with potassium - healthy food has lots of it. avocado, etc unlike magnesium. If you eat junk food, you won't get it indeed (you will get salt, sodium, instead), but you'll have so many other problems, potassium won't be in the top #3 of your issues with junk food.
Deep green and dark chocolate are also high with Oxalates which tie up the magnesium at the molecular level. It may be loaded with it but the body cannot absorb it.
I used to take taurine regularly (started with a very low dose and worked my way up - since apparently it can cause detox and you don’t want to overwhelm the system). I never had any effects from it other than overall well being. Maybe it’s a good supplement to start in low dose if you are having ill effects
Why isnt there any help for us laboring, poor people with health and anti aging. All these folks are well off and can financially afford this stuff.. help us working blue collar financial strapped type live longer
I am 64 and struggling financially with angina (which is scary) right now but I would never wrote what you wrote. Why? Because you are giving up on yourself and in the process giving up your personal power going forward. Yes, its hard, yes it’s scary with the velocity of changes today. But, you have lived through a lot and had your successes. Encourage yourself with Psalms, surround yourself with positive people if you tend to isolate (I do) and remember by not aiming for an outcome you want, you are correspondingly complicit in creating and outcome you say you DON'T want. I say this with all blessings Peter.
Laboring takes its toll on the vessel body. The people that fix the houses , cars, dog the ditches face shorter life spans because of the forces on the. But we , these people deserve the same right to health longevity and prevention. But instead of vitamin and infusions, we put food on the table with these funds..
This information is being given to you here for FREE, so why complain? You can get magnesium supplements rather cheaply. You might have to give up Netflix or something else in order to get it if you have a really low income but where there’s a will there’s a way. Don’t feel sorry for yourself; it’ll make things worse. I don’t have a lot of $ either but I buy supplements instead of unnecessary stuff…
Recently i bought L-Threonate from "Labtec Nutrition" which according to the list of ingredient there is 2500 mg of L-Threonate and 180mg of Elememtal Magnesium and to take 2 capsules (5000Mg) twice daily , which total of 10000mg a day is that way to much for anyone to have for a day??
I heard on other channels that only L -threonate is able of crossing the blood-brain-barrier, and that glycinate, is good for the muscles/heart muscle.
I must be a genius. I figured this out for myself. Take l threonate and glycinate forms. As my sleep quality declined with age I saw that as the canary in the coal mine. Magnesium is a necessary piece of the puzzle.
My wife is a registered nurse who works on a cardio unit, and she tells me that most patients have low mag EXCEPT latinos. She says latinos rarely need electrolye replacement. Only 100 grams of pinotos have 44% of your mag for the day, which is a small serving. 1 serving of canned refried beans is 130 grams, which would be about 57% of your mag for 1 serving. 2 serving a day and you hit 114% rda of mag for the day! Most Americans don't eat beans daily, , while most Latinos do.
Great tip! Just with that tip, you prolonged some lives, saved people a lot of money and alleviated a lot of suffering (plus the confusion). Frankly, unless someone has an allergy or maybe certain gastrointestinal issues, I don't understand why anyone would have a low consumption of beans. Beans are inexpensive, have many uses, and have a vast array of health benefits! Eat your beans people!
@@KenGaskins-nm3gx It's not a part of a lot of people's traditional diet to eat beans regularly. For some reason, pepole are also scared of beans making them fart. It's like they are more worrried about passing gas than death.

I've always looked at passing gas and burping as a way for the body to expel unwanted substances. The lowly bean is such a wonderful food on so many levels. Tragic!

When diagnosed with Afib 8 years ago I was lucky enough to have a cardiologist who told me about magnesium and it was paramount I begin to supplement it which would help maintain my heart rhythm. Now at age 72 I can say it works very well and has for 8 years.
Same here but, Dr tried putting me on drug for it and I researched it myself and have been taking magnesium citrate and afib (if that was even what it was) went away I'm 68 .

here's an idea, why don't they stop spiking the municipal water supply with fluoride and supplement the water with magnesium. they'd rather dumb us down with fluoride, then get us healthy wit magnesium.
it is not possible chemically. Fluoride is by no means evil. just as for everything else: dosis facit venenum.

Yeah, that's their secret, sinister plan, to dumb down people.

Have been taking magnesium threonate for many years - started because it eliminated restless leg syndrome which have had since childhood. Seem to need 3 2000 mg before bed.
In the morning take Mag IQ which is glycinate and is slow release.
Also take taurine and glycine with NAC.

Next one April ‘24 to learn if diet and making bone building yogurt (L- Reuteri )and supplements are now building quality bone . Have had many vertebral fractures and am hoping as they heal in 6 weeks, they are rebuilding strong bones. Thank you for sharing all your help!
My understanding is vitamin K2 is very important for bone health.
Thank you for the K2 recommendation- yes, take K2 in MK7 form and in MK4 form. Again hoping all the supplements and the quality goat milk used for the l-Reuteri yogurt (fermented 36 hours per Dr. William Davis.) are building strong, dense new bone! Thank you.

Great job with gathering the informations 🙌🏻
But here's my opinion as a medical student; you don't have to do this much experiment or anything...

@@garyssimo From UA-cam video's there are many Doctors say that the the Oxide version is the least absorbable form of Magnesium. But I have several different types so I can't say for sure about the Magnesium Oxide.
Any form of magnesium will give you diarrhea because it does so by magnesium pulling water out of your body and into your colon. It’s just a matter of dosage and the health of your colon. Some people can handle more than others. But take enough and you’ll have the runs, guaranteed. That’s why it’s used as a laxative.
