The secret to making creamy hummus is to remove the outer husk of the hummus and add a few ice cubes when blending. I serve it with toasted Naan and a side of veggies for a healthy vegan lunch. Hummus is also a great appetizer or healthy snack. - Навчання та стиль
😂😂😂that's what kids are for
And that's what my mum would say🤦🤷
U only notice that when U have kids😳🤣😂😂🤣
Moms use us for the hard "WORK"
@@cassywilson8072 😁😊
I laughed 🤣🤣🤣
Haha
If you soak the peas in water and swish them around ... the skins float to the top then you can scoop them out!
Thankx
@@earlj9888 no problem! It’s waaaay easier than picking skins off one by one
Works like a charm, thanks Natasha 😊👌🏽
No they dont. some of them do but far from all of them
@@yvc9 actually if you swish them around then yes most of them will float to the top... a lot better than pealing each one
For super smooth hummus you want to boil your own chickpeas. Canned chickpeas are not soft enough. Also add more tahini and only add olive on top at the end as a dressing.
Yes!❤👍 And while cooking your own chick peas, season with bay leaf, cumin, garlic and salt! Oh my goodness! So much better than canned (which are ok in a pinch). 😁
That was the kids are for🤣😂😂
1 Can of chickpeas
2 tablespoons tahini
1 squeezed lemon
1/2 teaspoon salt, cumin, garlic powder
1/4 cup olive oil
2 cubes of Ice
* but I used sunflower oil
😂
No garlic? What’s wrong with you people. 😂
Add yogurt not garlic and cumin
Thank you for writing down the recipe!😊
Sunflower oil? U ruined it
A non Arab making hummus the authentic way? I can rest easy now.
As an Arab, you have my complete approval ✅
she used exactly the same recipe a turkish channnel has on youtube. exactly the same. you can check it out at refikas kitchen so you know
@@rhea7693 yes lol Ik Refika, but she’s also amateur when it comes to arab dishes like these, she’s just good at Turkish westernized food.
@@rhea7693 yes lol Ik that’s why I appreciate her skill even in a cuisine she’s not familiar with.
Hummus. Race? What is wrong with people? I'm not surprised the world's messed up. What a a moron.. you can only touch it if it's from your country.WTF??
Pathetic
You the only person who did this right by telling folks to remove the skin from the peas. I love your video. Thanks❤❤❤
Always add water my dear
And peel the skin use extra virgin olive 🫒 good quality 👌
Very accurate recipes and easy to follow
Yes and short videos that get to the point.
No !
I learned about using ice in my hummus from a chef I used to work with years ago. Most non chefs I know don't know about it 🤔
Thank you I made this for my family and they loved it❤God Bless you
✡️ : Khummus 🧐 khamas 🙀 you support khamas 😱
I’m laughing 😂
@@RonDiani 😂😂
I am
We never peel off them but it still tastes marvelous 😋
🌞 more fibre too 👍
Same. Why do more work lol
Yes its better not to peel off the skin as it is nutritious ✌
It tastes better
My dog was watching this with me and when you said chickpeas her ears perked up
Me, as an arabic person watching this 👁👄👁
Legend remark, 'that's what the kids are for' 😂 and the priceless look they gave 😂
Excellent and delicious mmm
Yummy 😋
My favorite dish
The part where she says we should use the kids for removing chickpea husks and then the sad looking kids staring at the camera while removing husk was comedic genius.
Removing the skin is what makes it smooth
Very smooth. Will try this!
Just made this for dinner. Super delicious!!!
I made it today, with ice. It came out do creamy. Loved it. Thank you so much ❤
She's simply amazing, I love her energy and that good vibe feeling she radiates. Her smile never fails to make me smile and her dishes always hit the spot 👌🏽 I know iv mentioned this in like every video but I can't help it... She's absolutely gooooorgeous 🙊💛
I just made this recipe in my Molcajete. Turned out great! Thanks.
First time trying this weekend at restaurant. It is delicious! I took my leftovers to go.
Yummmm. A staple in our house.
Looks yummy!!!!
Aw cute kids. ♥️
This is so good!
Best recipe I’ve seen
Instead of preserved tahini sauce we use toasted sesame seeds in making hummus.
Even I do like this, but I don’t use olive oil, it doesn’t turn up so good, please share how do u make 😊🙏🏼
Thankyou for this resipe. i absoultly love hummus with nann bread.... i like red roasted pepper, or pine roasted nut
Kupuję dobry blender i obowiązkowo muszę zrobić tą znakomitą potrawę obiadową. Dziękuję i Serdecznie Pozdrawiam z Polski.😀
Looks good...
This is my "go to" hummus recipe... i did not husk the chickpeas (this time) and I used limes because i ran out of lemons .delicious!
Yum ...
Instead of a microwave, you can drop a whole lemon in a cup of hot water for 30 seconds to soften it up.
This was absolutleu delicious thanks for sharing you earned a subscriber
Thank you so much for this recipe and ice cube trick!!!! Creamy, perfectly textured hummus on my first try ever!!! Thanks Sister!!! Now I just need to make some kids who can help peel all those peas!! 😂😂😂
OMG IM GOING TO MAKE THIS
My mom made hummus at work today exactly like this and I ate almost all of it-
Always smile, believe in yourself.
Thank you. ❤️
Sooooo delish
Thats the thing Israel is fighting with 😂
Make the lemon trick in a short if you ever get the chance, that looks interesting
Yummy
Thank you..❤️
I loves this recipe. I did actually add water only because I used a blender, don’t have a food processor anymore.
You can also boil your chickpeas with baking soda for 15-20 minutes, then you don't have to husk them! Also, adding confit garlic and lemon zest are a game changer
I love Taste it
Use fresh garlic, and also parsley for some freshness!!
as an Egyptian i approve
What can be quicker or better!
👍👍👍👍
Thank you for the AMOUNTS!!!
Refika said to add ice cubes
Go and check it out Refika's kitchen 😊
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Also using the aquafaba makes it super creamy
I eat it with Naan too, lol.
Omg did you see the kids reaction omg I am dead 😂😂😂😂😂 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The removal of the skin isn't necessary and I imagine would turn off a lot of people, not to mention the skin likely contains some good nutrients. You could just boil the beans for 10 minutes to soften them. Also, I'd omit the cumin and use fresh garlic.
I wish I could save these videos
If you like videos they are saved on a list
You can save them in your favorites list.
"That's what the kids are for" wow lol😅
try it with fresh garlic
And the peels you removed have lot of protein!
Amazing I became humus master
👍👍👍👍👍
Niceee
Easy PEASY … rinse can contents under cold water .. drain then dump chick peas on some paper towel… place paper towel on top … start making a moving motion and the skin falls off in seconds .
Do you condemn it though?
Actually traditional hummus is served warm. Try it…so delicious!
I love humus it is my favourite dish because I am Lebanese lol
Boil them for 30 mins with a teaspoon of baking soda turns out nice a creamy also.
God....I read Creamy Humans😂
Shelby ceo be like: "WHO ORDERED THIS!!"
No subscription? Be nice to save it, but hey can't wait to make it! 👍😀
Can you please make a desert with only 5 ingredients
NOOO not the kids 😂😂😂
Instead of removing the skins , boil the peas with a tspoon bicarb and the hummus will be silky smooth
Any alternative for olive oil.? Can we use sunflower or Ground nut oil.?
If we add kids as important ingredient (way of preparation), this might be the longest recipe to master ever 😄😄
All it’s missing is some sprinkled on Aleppo chili flakes
If I am preparing chickpeas at home then they need to boil after soaking or just the soaked peas need to be used?
In faridabad they server tandoori naan with this😂😂
May i ask what are those topping on the hamus
1 can chickpea
2 Tablespoon tahini
1 tspn lemon juice
Salt
Garlic power
Cumin
For my reference while making it
Can you skip the oil to cut calories or will the hummus be too dry?
What can I use instead of tahini?
This is crunchy hummus. If you need creamy version you should use mixer grinder
The skin always has a lot Of nutrients so you don't wanna throw it away
I've made raw hoummus since the 1970s by sprouting organic chickpeas.
What can we add if we don’t have Tahini?
How many oz/ grams is the chickpeas can?
Are the chickpeas boiled or just soaked ?
Sounds delicious, but why would anyone microwave a perfectly healthy lemon? 🍋
How we make it is basically eyeing the ingredients 💀
My mom also makes me peel off the chickpea skin, atleast I get to eat hummus at the end? 😅
Fill bowl with chickpea and water swish ... skin will off and float to top.
I'm a hummus addict
yeyy me first
What is that powder?? Salt cumin and what?
