You do not need prescription for antibiotics, any diabetes related drugs, and a slew of other drugs in Mexico. Dr Christy should have stepped outside her resort and asked at the several local pharmacies minutes from her location and she would have known. Even the airport pharmacy does not need scripts for many drugs that you do in the US. If you do need a script, like for opiates it is done over the phone consult.

So she is in a richy rich resort lol. I live in South Texas. You can get "WIlly Nilly" prescriptions from the pharmacies, She means well but she is ignorant. I can get any non schedule 1 drug I want in Mexico lol Even blood pressure or antibiotics or steroid creams/pills. Anything. They have signs up and guys that speak English up front that explain how everything is done, they also have signs up running specials on different drugs. So take her experience as someone who is rich, and she is a American MD which may intimidate the local pharmacies and medial staff. They probably gave her less options lol
