Hey it's the Willie Unit. They fly into Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, NY. They used to be Northshore LIJ, but then the name changed to Northwell Health. That's a beautiful Helicopter, definitely my favorite.
Interestingly enough, this helicopter is a joint venture between Yale New Haven Health and Northwell Health (Northshore LIJ). Both Hospital Systems' logos are on the helicopter (one on the main side and one by the tail rotor and vice-versa) as well as the patches on the jumpsuits. The program is also managed by Northwell and is apparently based out of Nassau County Long Island with crew quarters there and in Bridgeport, CT. It is only used for interfaciity transfers (at least when in Connecticut) and not for 911 responses.
CT DPH and OEMS have only authorized SkyHealth for IFT Flights. LIFE STAR and it's backup services (LifeNet out of NY, UMass Lifeflight, DHART out of NH, ETC.) Are authorized to provide emergency transport in the state of CT.
This helicopter is based on Long Island, NY as part of Northwell Health and will fly to 150-200 miles from its base there. This was an inter-facility transfer (somewhat scheduled compared to 911 response) so the distance isn't far.

Sweet catch
Nice catch!
great catch
Thank you!
If this is interfacility, why is the helicopter on a baseball field? Does the hospital lack a helipad?
Yes thats correct. This baseball field is about a half a mile from the hospital.
Must have been bad to get a bird out of Connecticut
