Love the new channel, much better way to regroup these tests! Ryan is the best at these tests! But maybe you guys should include the date ehen the test was performed so we know what were the weather conditions for it? Seems like these daily videos are from last spring these days?
I find rain can really affect my range. I think it is a combo of the physics of having to push the water away on the road and driving through, plus the energy for the wipers. The car looks like a pretty sweet ride. Thanks for the video. I enjoyed watching.
Excellent job; I like your bar graph comparison/ analysis at the end of your videos. I agree with you Ryan, 80 K is nuts for 280 miles of range and RWD. I believe BMW will need to do much better.
The 21" wheels are hurting the range. I have an eDrive 40 with 19" wheels and was seeing highway efficiency of 3.6-4mi/kwh during the summer. In mixed driving I saw 4.2, 4.3,4.1 and 4.2 mi/kwh for May-Aug covering 6800 miles.
Well, thats how it is, with a compromised/shared plattform. Hopefully, the upcoming "neue Klasse", shows the real potential of BMW EV-plattform. I have high hopes (same for the new Mercedes CLA EV)
This one is okay, but you should also test the BMW i4 eDrive40 Model - it is IMO the most efficient BMW Electric Car as of date & on par with Tesla Model 3 in terms of Range and Efficiency.
Electric cars can now do enough distance to not make it an issue. Most journeys are short so if you have the opportunity to home charge then it's irrelevant. So you're left with the quality of the journey. Business or economy and is it worth the money?
🤔...once again it's insane to compare this vehicle which delivers and exceeds its posted rated range while saying the Tesla 3 is more efficient but unable to meet its rated range you pay for that's crazy to me and gives a bad narrative to other ev that outperform Tesla in meeting or exceeds the rated range to the insane efficiency talk on vehicles that can't achieve that which means they are not efficient because they can't deliver what you paid a premium for

This shows what a shared platform penalty is, the EQE 350 Dual motor sedan out performs this in both efficiency and range.
It seems to me that BMW needs to reduce the length of the hood and add 6" to 10" to the inside cabin and or trunk. Ryan, another great test.😊

Rain does affect range and fuel economy in gas cars as well. Increased resistance to the aerodynamics and frontal area of a car.

Those chargers are really called Kum&Go huh 💀👌
Not anymore unfortunately! Kum & Go was rebranded to Maverick some 4-6 months ago. These OOS Testing videos were shot last spring, I assume.

Its no where near what the Model 3 Long range RWD or AWD gets
Yeah I don’t think that’s true. After owning the i5 e40, it gets 300 miles MAX in good conditions running at 70mph with limited HVAC

If you have used the standard wheels you gets 25miles more range. About 305miles Price is starting at 66k
The Model S crushes this BMW.
A Long range will do 380+ miles, with AWD and 670hp!
The plaid with 1,020hp did 365 miles!
This is not good enough.
