Just recently found your channel, and I am loving it. Keep it up the great work. You build some beautiful models. Your very talented my friend. God bless.
Decanting paint is a must for the older paints we have where the propellant is gone or a very clogged nozzle. Follow the instructions to use a pin hole and then either enlarge the hole or cut the top off. MUST USE A PIN HOLE!! NOTHING LARGER OR YOU'LL GET PAINT EVERYWHERE. I have used 30+ year old paint this way.
Great demo. I decant & spray through my airbrush because I want a more scale thickness of paint layers. I will often thin the paint even further with thinner depending on what I'm spraying.
I've been exactly doing this for years now, try taking the little round spray tip out of the spray nozzle itself, and replace it with a suitable size brass or aluminum tube, and spray right into a bottle or the airbrush. So much easier and safer. Thanks for the video!

That's almost exactly how I do it too, I use just a short section of straw without the bend though, and don't bother with the respirator and fan since everything is pretty sealed, but you can never be too safe I guess.

Good and simple method to decant fr4om spray cans. According to your experience, May I decant filler - primer (like rust o leum) and use later for airbrush? Won't the airbrush be "clogged" for this kind of filler primer?
Thank you very much my friend!! Rustoleum is one I haven’t tried to de-cant. Some paints set so fast you may need to add a touch of thinner before shooting. Good luck and have fun!
Mr Mark - here’s a thought to ponder- do you think the propellant in a rattle can affects the paint’s composition (once infused) and influences its final finish quality (better or worse), after “decanting” it, or is the propellant no longer a factor, after releasing it to the atmosphere? Thanks again.
I personally do not think its much of a factor. Lacquers and enamels gas out at different rates but for me airbrush about the same. (maybe a touch more air pressure when applying lacquers) Thanks for watching bro!!
