    Incredibly jealous now...very very nice speck...missing the saltwater air, the slicks and that watermelon, fresh mowed lawn smell you experience when fishing specks in a feeding frenzy and the specks are regurgitating the bait fish. I've not fished for specks with croaker in years. Nice red too and shveet vid!

    Gator trout are smart and very elusive. Using a 30 p compared to a 20 makes a huge diff, go with the 20. Also use the smallest swivel that u can find. Mogans can detect them right away if you use big swivels. Patience is the key, good luck everyone and remember quality is better than cuantaty when it comes to this beautys.

      lol Trout are dumb. They will hit anything. If you're not scoring Trout, then you're doing something HORRIBLY wrong. Big trout on deck 24/7

    AN INFORMATIVE VIDEO...WHY when fishing from a boat you use a very short handled 'kayak' net??? In Louisiana, especially during the winter months...we have had drownings due to people reaching excessively and falling overboard! Just an observation...John Castelluccio, Jr. white 'TEAM AVENGER' South-Louisiana

    Do you know of people having success with this rig with croakers in NC?

    so croakers are super expensive and i asked local bait shop why this was the case, a few years ago and they told me cuz the gas was so expensive. I asked yesterday why the croaker price hasn't come down with the reduction in recent gas prices.
    lol they could not answer me and a dozen croakers will still set you back a million dollars.

      Just drop a piece of shrimp in the water on a small hook. You'll tear them up

    • @williambenner5550
      @williambenner5550 9 років тому

      +modernpawn And..croakers are easy to catch with a small hook (size eight or so) with piece of shrimp cast off a pier or other area in a brackish river (like St. Johns in Jacksonville Fl). Use one to two once weight. I use to catch them all the time while fishing for other fish. Also, the big ones are fun to catch!

      I never bought croakers and i'll tell you something else, I like the taste of croaker better than speckled trout. if I ever caught croakers 8 to 10 inches I would keep and filet them

    If birds are working, why waste a live croaker? I just throw plastics.
