Do a tip video on your mad casting techniques...flipping, skipping, etc. You make it look easy but for some of us (like me), I have a tough time with skipping and flipping.
I just wanted to write and say thank you. I’ve been fishing for about 35 years. Had a lot of success (PB is 7 lb 8 oz largemouth, big in NH). Lately though I’ve been going through a dry spell (about 3 years of baaaaaaad luck). I watched this video a few days ago, ordered some zoom super fluke white ice and tried them out tonight. I caught a 2 lb 4 oz bass on my second cast. From my boat that we got 2 years ago, that I hadn’t landed a fish yet from. Fished for the rest of the night and caught just a few more but I’m getting ready to go to sleep with that sweet sweet smell of bass on my hands! You have a fan for life! Thank you!
Brian Hills Glad you caught some Bass. Am looking forward to trying this out Saturday. I was away from fishing for years due to health reasons. Got back into it this year. Bought all the best stuff, and so far I’ve caught 1 tiny bass on a Jack Hammer fishing Lake Guntersville. Hopefully these tips will get me some more Bass
Dude, your legit I caught a 2.35-pound wide mouth bass with your exact rig and style. Thank you so much. It's my first fish I saw. I was in the water for less than an hour. I asked the bait shop at the lake. He told me exactly where to go-your legit, dude. I'm stoked I just caught it 3 hours ago!
I wanted to tell you, you have the heart of a teacher. When you show how to set up the hook, you explained in an easy to understand way. One of the best "how to" that also included the "why". Well done.
After all the videos watched, lure and line lost, and a pole being snapped out of frustration, YOU are the one who helped me catch my first bass! Wish I could post a pic! Finally got a fish that wasn't bait sized! Thank you! Liking and subscribing now

Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.
Thank you for all your tips. I don’t know anyone who likes to fish so it really helps to have you giving lots of really clear instructions. I feel like I’m sitting in the boat with you. My dad taught me how to fish as a kid, but that was only for trout so bass fishing is basically completely new for me.
Awesome video bro. Very informative, what i like most is showing not only tips for knot tying to lure/color selections, but demonstrating techniques someone like myself can copy and put more fish in the boat. Im a disabled amputee veteran (below knee right leg)and hate talking to strangers on the lake for tips because my prosthesis becomes an object for pity or some people avoid me like a missing limb is contagious!!! Your tips and techniques work extremely well and the reason im hooking up and landing alot more fish. Thank you, God bless, and stay safe. SEMPER FI!
I used the hit the bottom of the rod technique for the first time today with a craw on a TXrig and caught the biggest bass of my life in the middle of the day in the Texas heat. I was slaying them all afternoon, it works! Thanks for the tips!
Senko’s really are great. This past weekend at a lake the family was throwing different bait along the shore and my mom wanted in on the fun. So I texas rigged a 1/4 oz weight and a black and blue Senko for her and said “just drag it across the bottom..” Next thing you know she pulls in a 2 pounder and a 3-4 pounder back to back!! Turns out she was dragging it right next to a brush pile submerged in the water. She caught the biggest fish out of all of us haha
I watched a number of different bass fishing videos. Your technique, tips and delivery are amazingly simple, informative and motivational. No rules, but some techniques work better than others. You can jump in and try to stab them with your rod but probably won't work... You're allowed to though!
New subscriber here. I was an avid bass fisherrman 40 years ago and gave it up for a career. It's nice to be able to see the latest techniques on your channel now that I'm retired and fishing again. Keep up the good work.
I've been a bass fisherman for about 43 years. I grew up on Lake Guntersville. You might know this. And might not. But, here's some advice. If you're looking to catch more bass. Look no further than nature. There are two kinds of lures. Ones that catch fish. And, ones that catch humans. Flashy colored lures work in certain conditions, at certain times. To me, they are meant to catch humans $$$. Lures that are shaped and colored like the real prey of a bass will work nearly all year long. And go weightless. Or, If you have to use a weight, use the smallest one that you can get away with. Suspending lures are great too. Get yourself some real looking self suspending lures, and you've got yourself a deadly combination.
No beating around the bush like most videos, been needing a video like this keep um coming, basic easy to understand and show where to throw baits and how to fish them awesome
I use $20.00 black tint igogz. I like the sleek designs. Very smooth and stylish. For the price range they are not the most durable. I've dropped them with no problem but if you sit on it you have a chance of it snapping which I think is understandable with any glasses. I picked up like 5 designs for $100 bucks. Beats buying 1 pair for $100.00 in my opinion unless you can throw cash like that around. The only time I go to a lighter black tint or a brownish tint is if its not blue bird sky but you can't go wrong either way. I think other colors are just preference. I personally don't like seeing the world in yellow, red or green ect... At least with $20.00 pairs you can try out different tints and colors if you so wish without breaking the bank. If they fall off the boat into the lake you wont get upset as much. I hope these tips and opinions helped you. Good luck.
For general fishing amber/copper lens with green mirror finish For more of off shore deep water grey lens with blue mirror finish For low light morning or evenings yellow lens Vigor are only $60 just as good as the $200 one but I do not see any stores that carry them anymore, Dicks use to have them but in my area they no longer carry them. I would not buy glasses online unless you are ordering a color the store is out of stop on, you want to try them on to see how well they fit on your head especially if you are spending a good bit of money on them. It really just comes down to comfort yes the $100-$200 are going to be more comfortable but is comfort worth that price to you?
I do love the fluke. Weightless over moss pads and through thin shallow treedowns. Split rigged bounced quickly around open water and near small rocks. Great tech for searching for smaller schooling bass. Even as an awesome trails with a chatter bait or swim jig. 👌🙂👍
My favorite video you’ve made so far. I always had trouble finding out where to penetrate the bait with the hook and you made it look and sound easy, I also tried for my self and it really is that easy. Great video can’t wait to go out tomorrow and try these techniques out even though it’ll be 100 degrees here in Huston.
Just bought my first boat, me and my dad fished a lot when i was a kid. Been watching videos for bass fishing but yours seems to be down to earth. Will follow up after i go out and try your ideas. Thanks
Did the "Tap the Rod" technique a few days ago, and caught an "Un-Catchable" spotted Bass that everybody said Nobody could catch! She'd been hanging around a pier, and had been hooked several times (that's why she was so wary), and was taking Bream off peoples's lines all Spring. Only a 6 pound 13 ounce Bass (everybody said she was at Least 8 pounds!), and had 2 hooks in her mouth. I'm sure she was the same fish, so I relocated her to another part of the lake. Thanks for all the TIPS.
All 3 of those shine in off shore conditions. First Carolina rig: run a 3-6ft leader from your swivel to bait. Cast as far as you can directly over the off shore structure. Go from 10-12 o-clock slowly dragging the bait. Would recommend a fast reel. Swim jig: I like to fish 2 ways, in the morning I’ll cast towards the bank and slow roll it back, just slow enough so it does scrape the bottom. Like a spinner. Off shore, using my electronics I’ll count down to the depth of the fish and then swim it past them. Football jig: off shore I’ll cast and count down to target depth and then swim it or bounce it back, this one I’ll usually try to bounce off the structure. I’ll also flip and pitch a football jig around cover, usually downsizing to a 5/16 ounce. If the lake is really pressured though, I usually use 1 of 3 rigs: drop shot, neko, or a weightless senko wacky rig.
At 66 yo I am just now able to get back to fishing which I did a lot when I was a kid. This video has been essential for bringing me up to speed on "HOW" to fish in a modern way. Thank you so much!!!
I would like to thank you for the fishing tips. I usually use a 4"black and blue flake worm by YUM i usually catch quite a few bass. I mostly fish farm ponds and i always like to fish weightless and once i make the cast i wait for about 10 to 20 seconds then i start reeling it in very slowly and i would say this method works on a scale from 1 to 10, i would give it about a 7 or 8.
I use a worm for fishing I love the worm I also love the fluke but I will definitely try your ideas I'm fishing great video great great information on it Love it
I just moved right next to a huge lake, it's literally right across the street. So I'm turning to youtube to learn how to bass fish. Awesome video man, I feel like I might catch one tomorrow. I could see then swimming all over today.
@@lukehackney953 no not yet, but I feel like I've learned a lot of the last week that will help. I got a few strong bites. I feel like I'll catch something tomorrow.
Can’t wait to try these techniques! I’m a proficient turkey hunter but terrible fisherman. You broke it down where I understand it. The worms like a decoy; add movement and get them to commit!!! I subscribed too!!!
HUGE fan I really look up to you and respect how much work you put in and your work ethic and your vids are awesome you taught me a ton abt fishing and really got me started and put me on and got me fishing a lot more love the vids keep making bangers.
I’ll have to try the fluke and dead stick. I was out on my local river this morning bank fishing and was having no luck...Only bites I got were from mosquitos.
Texas rig with 1/8 or 1/16 oz weights, 3/0 or 4/0 EWG and black or junebug trick worms haven’t failed me yet, one things I’ve learned is honesty no matter the color of the water, the bass absolutely love plain black, but like you said, in places where there’s lots of mudfish/bowfin they’ll absolutely destroy them
Noah dude.. You make it look so damn easy.. Im fairly new to baitcaster maybe 6 months.. But your tips n tricks havent failed me before.. Im rockn with you 👊
Thank you for being so thorough with colours, when to use them, bait and rig etc. Im newer to fishing so im still learning and i camp on a conservation area that is full of weeds and the deepest spot is about 10 ft, but around all the cover you're looking about 2-4 ft deep. I take the canoe out and I've lost alot of square bill crank baits, weedless rigs, drop shot setups, frogs etc. No bites this year and I was also wondering if it had to do with the colours im using???? Thank you!!! Will give these a shot and hope for the best
Been out twice so far. February in Indianapolis has got me three. They were all over 2lbs and one was close to 3lbs. Top water frog, minnow jig, and today was a white spinner bait. Helluva start to the year!!
Awesome channel Noah and great content as always. I will definitely use the dead stick technique with the fluke. I do use the same technique with a swim jig as well. I get ferocious bites out of it. Take care bro.
Video suggestion: senko hotdog! Texas rig a hot dog and see if u could catch a fish off of it. I have had this idea for a while but I’m finally asking now.
Hey ! I owe you credit for increasing my back yard hook ups 100% more!!!!! I went with a 1/4 bullet weight and June bug color worm! Slow dragged and hopped on approaching bank (full of grass). My Florida backyard has a 100’ wide canal that’s about 16 years in the making. Using the rig I PB back to back to back 5 #’ers.
I’m very new to bass fishing. Just bought my first bass boat. A 2011 Ranger Z118 with 56 hours on the boat and 150 Evinrude HO and not a scratch on it... anyway, your videos are loaded with good and easy to understand. THANKS and keep them coming! 🎣🐠
Great video and thanks for the tips. I've been using your suggestion in clear water, used a darker/watermelon color and margarita roboworm, it has been unreal in June/early July this year. Caught hundreds of largemouth, mostly super clear/grassy ponds using wacky and Texas rig like you suggest here. insanely effective. (I posted some videos of it as proof :) ).
I have caught bass throwing to the edge, letting it sit a couple of seconds and reeling slowly, you're right, fishing is trying different things.Great video.
Just starting Bass fishing, lifelong trout fisherman 57y.o. (flyfishing) but totally out of my element when it comes to this. Thanks so much for sharing, very informative plus you gained another subscriber😀👍
I just started fishing it as well this winter. First time throwing it I caught 2 at my local pond. 2-3 baby twitches and long pauses did the trick for me!
Last weekend, was fishing the bottom of a dam in North GA. No bird for about an hour.. started to dead stick it, then did the bottom rod tap technique. BOOM.. caught a 3 lbs bass. Thanks for the tip!
Dead-sticking was a game changer. Rather than treat the lure like a lure, treat it like a worm-and-bobber setup; focus on the line, not the lure. Now that I’m watching the line, I’m realizing that fish have been tapping it WAY more than I knew. Loving learning the ways to read the line’s action (sinking vs. objects vs. nibbles vs. lazy hits). Many thanks.
Love how you break it down. All I use is 6 sense. They just produce BITES. I also wanna say tks for the time you gave to help me out on making my videos. I appreciate it. Not many have taken the time to help
I used to do that, because I’m right handed. But now I switched to left hand reel and cast with my right hand, reel with the left hand. I never lose contact with the rod or the crank this way- I’ve had fish hit my lure as soon as it hits the water, probably wouldn’t have landed a few if I was switching hands right after I cast.
Dude I tried the fluke exactly as you said and had 3 fishing in extremely tough bottom, jagged rocks everything. Love it. The only issue that I need to learn with it that weedless is telling when they have it to set the hook. In a couple cases they were running around with it and I did not get a good hook set and lost them. Also, in deeper water I would imagine that I can put some weight on the line just to keep using it when I drift into deeper water.
Amazing tutorial bro! I wasn't having any luck with catching bass, so i watched this, used the same rig and threw it into my fishing spot. Within 10 minutes I caught a 13" and 14" largemouth!! (Also a northern pike which i wasn't expecting lol) Had no issues getting hung up in weeds etc.

Good luck.
Scuba Steve
Yum brand in amber tint. $5 at Walmart and works just as good.
Spiderwire sells Amber lens for $15. Perfect in NJ, NY, PA, FL. Places I've used em...
does anyone know the name of the glasses he has on
For general fishing amber/copper lens with green mirror finish
For more of off shore deep water grey lens with blue mirror finish
For low light morning or evenings yellow lens
Vigor are only $60 just as good as the $200 one but I do not see any stores that carry them anymore, Dicks use to have them but in my area they no longer carry them.
Just not the butt.
If you don’t have a video on it already, you should talk about how you adjust your reel with different rigs and plastics
What kind of rod and reel do you recommended for a older women? Trying to get back to fishing
Need a video on how to work a swim jig, football jig and Carolina rig.. i throw'em all but lookin for some different retrieve techniques maybe.
Great video. Love Bass fishing
Thanks for the beautiful video boss
KTB spits facts. I just dead stick in the heat of summer down here in FL.
Hey I watch your channel you are one of my favorite
Where abouts, I'm from Lake Worth

Those flukes destroy bass everywhere!
big FACTS
Some of my friends laugh at me for using a fluke almost all the time but I catch more fish than they do with that thing
Chicano Angler flukes are awesome what are they thinking
ua-cam.com/video/FE361FYazmQ/v-deo.html
Watermelon seed fluke all I use if I want to catch fish.. Everything else when I'm messing around
hey, thanks so much for the fluke rig tutorial. I’ve been trying to figure out how to hook them on and you were really helpful👍👍
I couldn't agree with you more. You nailed the concept of fishing most soft plastics . Good job guy !
It's your energy Noah. Contagious!! Love the tips, just straight forward "this is what works". Thanks.
Ty for showing the process of setting up the baits.
Matthew
I love how you have great content and it’s informative, you help me so much and I’m just starting tournament fishing and your tips help me so much
Could you do a tip video for beginners on just basics to have in a tackle box and stuff like that
good idea
I use Texas rig style for a lot of different worms and the screw lock ones too.
old guy new to bass fishing got more watching you young man then the big name pro's you done good thanks
I only use 1 bait, every day of the year. A BIG ASS HOOK WITH A BIG ASS WORM.
Lmao 😂
😂😂😂the ol trusty worm never fails!
I use a worm for fishing I love the worm I also love the fluke but I will definitely try your ideas I'm fishing great video great great information on it Love it
Worm can be top water or deep bait
I’ve tried the worm hundreds of times and never caught shit with it. ITS MAKING ME GO INSANE!
I’m going out with my grandpa tomorrow and will definitely try this hopefully will get us a lot more👍
Goodluck brotha! Cherish those times🙏🏼🙌🏼
Hope you slam the bass

Thanks for doing this type of video, Noah! I really appreciate it. You are so knowledgeable and very informative!
I just moved right next to a huge lake, it's literally right across the street. So I'm turning to youtube to learn how to bass fish. Awesome video man, I feel like I might catch one tomorrow. I could see then swimming all over today.
Did you catch anything
@@lukehackney953 no not yet, but I feel like I've learned a lot of the last week that will help. I got a few strong bites. I feel like I'll catch something tomorrow.
@@lukehackney953 caught my first bass yesterday, little but I'm still happy.
Haven’t even watched this but I know it’s gonna be fire 🔥
🙌🏼💯👊🏼
KickinTheirBASSTV 🔥🔥
Always 🔥
Good job very detailed on your explanations hard to find people to do that.
Texas rig with 1/8 or 1/16 oz weights, 3/0 or 4/0 EWG and black or junebug trick worms haven’t failed me yet, one things I’ve learned is honesty no matter the color of the water, the bass absolutely love plain black, but like you said, in places where there’s lots of mudfish/bowfin they’ll absolutely destroy them
I just came back from fishing and I caught 10 bass and now I'm watching this ❤👌
Rule #1 watch Vid first then apply what Ya see.. 10 Bass is a really good day, Nice...
Just think next time you’ll have 150.
Will give these a shot and hope for the best
wow I thought you were to pretty to be into fishing ;)
Been out twice so far. February in Indianapolis has got me three. They were all over 2lbs and one was close to 3lbs. Top water frog, minnow jig, and today was a white spinner bait. Helluva start to the year!!
I’ve fished with flukes for years and they are my go to bait for any season of the year
I’m so jealous of his new lews Mach crash I’m out here using a five year old abu Garcia black max that screams and the drag doesn’t work anymore
pedro monti
Get a new Black Max. They are only $35-45.
...buy a new one?
Awesome channel Noah and great content as always. I will definitely use the dead stick technique with the fluke. I do use the same technique with a swim jig as well. I get ferocious bites out of it. Take care bro.
Video suggestion: senko hotdog! Texas rig a hot dog and see if u could catch a fish off of it. I have had this idea for a while but I’m finally asking now.
yoo that’d be sick
Hot dogs work great... for catfish
Yes dude
@@RKSAINT correct! But I've actually landed a few 2lb largemouth bass while catfishing using hot dogs lol, couldn't believe it.
@@fan4life34 ya we use bacon hotdogs and shrimp for catfish and I've got several good bass on em too
You just wanted to flex the boat😭

not my fault you can’t catch bass
@@goated622 who tf blamed you 😂
Bruh i felt this shit tho 😭🥹

I caught my pb this morning!
How big?
What was the weight?

Drake Aamold 8.2
Damn dude thats a super good one! I caught my pb last week on a kvd popping perch. 6.15 pounds
Just been introduced to the Ned rig, any thoughts there
I just started fishing it as well this winter. First time throwing it I caught 2 at my local pond. 2-3 baby twitches and long pauses did the trick for me!
“What’s poppin” love it! 😎😂
I keep expecting him to say “What’s poppin Pickle?” instead of People.😉
Last weekend, was fishing the bottom of a dam in North GA.
"Catch 15x more bass" People who catch zero bass: :/
Love the teaching videos. Always so helpful. Please do more like this!
shout out to your camera man, kept it steady for 21 minutes straight without a tripod
This was one of the first bass catching videos I watched… and, it helped a lot. Thanks man!!!
Love how you break it down. All I use is 6 sense. They just produce BITES. I also wanna say tks for the time you gave to help me out on making my videos. I appreciate it. Not many have taken the time to help
This guy gets as high off catching a bass as most people do when they beam up to scotty.
I'm doing this tomorrow.
I’m not the only weird guy that casts right handed then switches hands to reel right handed? I feel so much better now
I do to
✋🏽
I’m ambidextrous and it just feels right lol.
I used to do that, because I’m right handed. But now I switched to left hand reel and cast with my right hand, reel with the left hand. I never lose contact with the rod or the crank this way- I’ve had fish hit my lure as soon as it hits the water, probably wouldn’t have landed a few if I was switching hands right after I cast.
you caught 3 fish in a 20 minute edited video, wow I'm impressed
Dude I tried the fluke exactly as you said and had 3 fishing in extremely tough bottom, jagged rocks everything. Love it. The only issue that I need to learn with it that weedless is telling when they have it to set the hook. In a couple cases they were running around with it and I did not get a good hook set and lost them. Also, in deeper water I would imagine that I can put some weight on the line just to keep using it when I drift into deeper water.
I like the way you took time to show how to retrieve the bait, that was very helpful for me!

Amazing tutorial bro!
I wasn't having any luck with catching bass, so i watched this, used the same rig and threw it into my fishing spot.
Within 10 minutes I caught a 13" and 14" largemouth!! (Also a northern pike which i wasn't expecting lol)
Had no issues getting hung up in weeds etc.
