Smokey was MIA when I started the video. She immediately came running and sat on my lap when she heard your voice! She gives it at 20/10 for epic shredding.
I love how he said "its brisk" which to me is like...45-55. 1min later on the screen "34f" My guy, that is TWO degrees above freezing. I myself as a northerner love going outside in shorts in sub-40 weather but I wouldnt be calling 34 brisk. Its finally cold at that point.
Just so you know, I love watching you ride trails. Your commentary adds the final piece of greatness. I like your trail building and other general videos as well, but these are my favorite. Inspires me to get out and ride and continue to challenge myself.
"That rock over there" is like jersey barrier that you hit at mach chicken.. absolutely ridiculous, crazy lines on damboo and just smashing endless janky rock gardens. having ridden about half these trails watching how easy you make it look riding them is insane.
23:37 from experience I can tell this is a difficult gap, but im more impressed on phils ability to literally slow down time to make himself look cooler on camera
Hello. My husband and I are in our 60s and are new at mountain biking. We have ebikes. We love to watch you and others ride in pov because that is probably the closest we can come to flying even though bombing a fun downhill slope on a gravel road is super fun for this ol' lady. Thanks. Keep on with your great videos.
Phil glad to see you in my backyard and one the most beautiful places around. I can speak for myself when I say it is more than just watching someone riding. It’s experiencing those trails from a world class riders perspective ! Not something that 99.9 % of people could do! That’s what makes it’s so exciting and engaging!! Too bad it wasn’t a few days later the weather really warmed up!
Few weeks ago I went to Highland for the first time after you suggested that I should rent a bike, and I had a ton of fun. Also it was my first time using a full suspension bike, that was also a carbon frame, which was very exciting to use.
seeing you jump makes me feel like its just fun and not scary at all. at that speed all looks so natural and doable that even i think i could hit these, which i probably could but never would because theyre all so scary and steep. your videos inspire me every time and even got me back in the sport after injury and a broken frame. keep it up!
Fun Fact: I broke my collar bone on Breakout, right before the left turn at 4:04. There used to be a roller right before the corner, and a big mud pit right before that. Glad they fixed it.
My muscles ache just from watching you crush these trails. I respect that you respect others on the trails and your willingness to let these kids, like Jack, lead you down (not that you need the leading). What a kick for them to be able to get that recognition of their skills.
Joined NEMBA tonight, had some beers and then watched this fun video of a mountain I have always heard of:it lives up to the hype of the rock gardens but that kids had some steezy flow on the jump trail. Thanks for sharing and for making a night on the town even better.
I live in California but am from New Hampshire. Just got back into riding after 25 years and am on my first full sus ever. Loving it riding my brains out at the local state park Annadel. Thanks for the east coast footage!
This was sooo awesome to see u at my home mountain.. im like hour and half away but its the closest to me... Now i know when people say its one of the tougher hills and def chunky there not joking...You were like this is CHUNKY LOL.... Your amazing phil and i love your channel.. ive learned so much over the past year about mtb from ur vids.... Was cool to see u do stuff iv'e stared at for the past 4 months every trip and did'nt have the balls to do/..... LOL i just started this may and im 47 but i love being air borne the tech is way harder on the body but i did do a decent amount of it over my 11 trips there this season..Also had ton of wipe outs Lmao...... Thanx again for all the vids you do!!!!!!!!! I wish i knew u were gonna be there!!!!! DANG!!! :(
This is such a great bike park! It seems to be a smaller version of Whistler. I wish we would have such a diverse and challenging park in Germany in such mid-level mountain ranges of which we have plenty in Germany. A perfect video on a great fall day. The kid you are filming has incredible skills. Amazing. Thank you for having made this video.
Just an idea but you could put some Blue Loctite on the brake screw. That way it'll stay in. Just be sure it's the blue stuff not red or black cause it won't ever come out if it's red or black. Love the videos!
makes you quite envious feeling his passion for riding the bike. keeps you healthy too (if you dont fuck up and break every bone of yours that is :D). cant claim i have that much passion for anything / fun while doing anything.
At 6:28 I was like wow when you went on the skiny bridge it looks hard! Also at 7:31 t hat looks so hard Edit: man you are insane I dream about doing this and you just do it all the time!
So glad I’m not the only one who thought it was crazy cold going up the gondola after standing in the line. Crashed on Alpine due to the trails running so slowly. Great vid as always, bummed I missed saying hello on Saturday. 🤘🤘
Epic riding on a gorgeous day, absolutely awesome! Remember, closing day at Highland is this Sunday (Nov. 14th). No this says fun more than railing frost filled berms and potentially slick wooden features! Keep doing what you do!
I think everyone forgets bushwhacker trail because it’s in the back and most people go right if the lift. Bushwhacker is def one of my favorite trails. Good for intermediate riders looking for a new chalenge
Hahaha What a small world! I remember little man getting hit on his bike and then i'm like WTF i'm standing in the line in your video.lol I love Mountain Creek and your videos! Keep being awesome!
3:00 In response to your comments here, I enjoy as its feels like I'm riding for myself from the safety of my computer chair, its like riding on Rollercoaster from the comfort of your own home
I have a GT Force from 2010 with a Rockshox Revelation, SRAM X9 with Avid juicy three brakes and I love it! Also, the I-Drive suspension linkage is amazing compared to every other bike I have ever ridden.
I have been wanting to check this place out. Never enough time in the season next year for sure i will make it. Place looks fun another killer vid man🤘
Sick! I almost got one more day in at Creek and came up but had an accident and split my head open and got 5 staples in it Friday morning. Would have been stoked to see you ripping in person. Always another season next year. 🤙
So dope seeing you ride Creek again. I remember hanging with you there at the US open in 2017 I think it was?? Kinda sad I skipped out on closing weekend now.
Woah never knew you went to culinary school back in the day. Not sure if I've missed it but have you talked about it before? I enjoy cooking and took culinary in high school which was pretty fun. What is your culinary history?
I did but haven't talked about it! It's a bit of a long story, but i worked in the food industry for a while, and I never thought I'd go anywhere with biking so straight out of high school i tried to focus on a real career. I worked I'm the industry full time for a while but I found it to be very toxic and i really missed riding bikes. So i eventually managed to find a cooking gig that i could actually get weekends off and used that opportunity to start racing again.
damn that lil fella shreds..... what a time to be his age at this point in time to ride great bikes in great places ^^

WOAH just learned you went to culinary school????? Can we please get some cooking with Phil episodes??
Hundredth like 👍
One of the most impressive creek videos I've ever seen, those trails are not forgiving at that speed, cheers!

phil: going mach 8 down a vertical boulder wall of a trail for like 5 straight minutes

Wish the uk had trails as good as these. The good ones are mile sfrom where i live which is a bit of a dead zone for MTb.
Those end of season conditions, yikes !
I imagine that all of the wood portions get pretty slick and sketchy after a rain. Is that true or do the bike's tires handle it pretty well?
They get slick and sketchy
