I think it is smart to hedge your bets by uploading to rumble too because it is easier to get monetize and trump whte house will also likely to do rumble exclusive
I quit my programming job because of how awful it was for my mental health two years ago. Now I can't find anything. I killed two cars doing food deliveries and now I can't even do that. I've been desperately trying to figure out something new. I wish I had some income so I had the luxury of building something over time. I've been meaning to start a UA-cam channel for years. I started making a video last spring, spent a week on the script and filming and it turned out... bad. So I scrapped it. Now any time I think about tackling videos again I just get overwhelmed with feelings that I will fail. I've done streaming before, but I'm a perfectionist, which makes a scripted video a lot harder as during editing I constantly find things "wrong".
Thanks for sharing your story with me. The good news is that UA-cam requires no money to begin. You can just use your phone. You should make around 100 videos before even looking at metrics, that allows you to get more comfortable talking to the camera. My first videos in 2019 were ROUGH but now I feel they are pretty good. Just takes time.
@@LaborGains Thanks for the encouragement. I need to figure out more what my channel should be about, since the things I've wanted to do are all longer form videos which would involve a lot of research and editing. I need to either pivot or find something that will complement those which can be done more regularly. I was already worried that my direction was too unfocused, lol.
I'm trying to get a diesel and a dump trailer so I can do junk removal until I can afford a track loader and then I can clear land and grade roads maybe plow snow.
independent/self-employment work might just well be the future of work anyways
