Instead of creating a trigger step on step 1 you can just let it trigger the sample record from step 3 for 16 steps and just place the new sample you recorded to trigger from step 3. 😊

The decay on the bass you're recording is longer than the recorded 16 steps. This is why when you're recording with a manual trigger you see decay at the start of the sample. That will loop nicer during quieter parts of your track. You can hear it if you mute the kick.
