The mk1 does not have the performance knob unfortunately..

Mmm hard to tell, I took it from my selected sample folder having samples coming from many different sample packs. Sorry :/

Damm its so crappy imo. The better way would be to make a new transition pattern from 1 to 2 or from 2 to 3 using mix components from 1&2 patterns or 2&3 patterns, isn't it?

The way you're describing doesn't have as much control to make it last as short or long as you want, or be as creative with it. Imagine something like being able to tweak the performance knob, little by little, to get slightly more excitement, while you're soloing on another instrument. If it's preprogrammed, you would end up having to press A,1,A,2,A,3,A,4,A,3,A,2,A,1 just to get the functionality of that one performance knob.
The way you're describing, you might as well just put it in song mode and hit play. It isn't as, "live."
