  • Frisco Station Mall is a former mall turned business center in one of the only desirable parts of Arkansas. Looking into the past suggests that this mall was purpose built for small & specialty businesses.

Holy crap, if a mall can't keep a Hobby Lobby alive, you know it's beyond saving.

The Hobby Lobby at Concord Mall(Elkhart) somehow hangs on, despite the mall hallways closing for good last October.

Some of the mall stores were corn dog 7,hallmark,hibbett sports, maurices, goodys, stage, merle norman, claire's,I believe a kay jewelers,a small hobby shop,t shirt store, arcade and a small kmart which later moved next door for a bigger store. There were a lot of arts and craft show held there up until recently which is why you saw the booths.I have been told there was a mall fountain in the middle area but If there was they took it out a very long time ago.

I spent a lot of time at this mall going to see movies as a child. The mall had a goodys clothing store, stage clothing store which was the middle anchor store, some of the smaller stores included an arcade, maurice's,claire's,hallmark, hibbett sports, a small hobby store that sold trains and models, corn dog 7,merle norman's and I believe a kay jewelers where the mobility plus store was.At one time there was a small kmart which later moved next door which you probably saw.

The mall took its first major blow when the scottsdale center opened just down the road next to I 49.Then pinnacle opened and it was just over after that. They actually only lost hobby lobby in 2022 when it moved to the Pinnacle Hills Promenade. The mall hours other than on sunday were based on Hobby lobby store hours.

Interesting time to chose to upload this video. It closed permanently starting 2024. Hobby Lobby was there a long time, but the owners kept raising rent and couldn’t even be bothered to fix the roof. There also used to be a fountain in the center.

I was just thinking about this place today. I’m glad to see someone cares enough to make a video. Hello from Rogers Arkansas.

I really like the floors and the old train pictures on the walls. Thanks for documenting this mall.

This looks about right, I believe where the restrooms are located now was the former theater. It certainly has the lobby for it, and you can see where movie posters would have been on the walls leading there. When I was around this some, there used to be a card game shop and a MMA gym as well -- though those have both been shuttered. The one with the big "NWA Adult Day" signage was the card shop. There was also a fairly large Samaritan Shop (think like a Goodwill) at one point here, though that too had seemingly closed by the time you got here. Sad to see, but this is about what I expected to see several years out from my last time seeing this place. As it goes.

So back in the 80s, my mom worked there. Way at the east side (i think) was a Kmart. As a kid waiting for mom to get off work id roam around the entire place. Movie theater, Corndog 7 (best fast food ever..well i thought as a kid). The arcade, the music store, jewelry store, Jc Penny(i think, its a bit fuzzy). This mall was still a alright place even in the mid 90s. The competition was in Fayetteville's mall, about 30 min south of rogers..heh, and now its the Pinnacle mall just a mile or two south of the malls location.
There were many places to sit in the middle, one fountain that i can remember. Also that ceiling, was not the framework look, it had reg ole large tile ones at the height of the lights. As for the desirable parts of Arkansas, NWA is pretty decent. Crime is low, but man they say there will be a million people here by 2050. That will make this entire area a nightmare. We dont have the infrastructure or public transport that can handle so many people. Heck arkansas itself has 3 million people total. Heh, maybe ya just dont like small towns there bud.
The mall itself is now closed.

I remember when i was around 7 I saw Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie there back when they still had a theater and around the early 2000s I loved going to the Sam Goody they had (where that workforce area is now), right across from that I remember they built an arcade around the mid 2000s and I think it stayed around till the early 2010s. It had some pretty fun games and they even had a small bbq restaurant there. I really do hate what happened to that place since i had some really good childhood memories at that mall.

It’s such a sad little mall. I agree about the floors. Everywhere I look; new buildings and houses everything is white or gray and looks bland and colorless. My aunt and uncle used to live in Mountain Home.

Yes modern architecture is exactly like that and I hate it. You're right about new buildings and houses being bland and colorless, but to me it's also soulless on top of that.
