I have on several vehicles and they all rode fine. In my day we called them booster shocks. Spring wrapped shocks were fairly common. But a few years ago I tried to get a pair and all the young knuckleheads in the auto parts stores never heard of them. Finally tracked a pair down. Installed them and the old car I had drove fine. Alot more affordable than buying new leaf or coil springs.
I put a couple of those spring assisted shocks on my 68 ford and it sure helped out the ride I thought. Glad you had your assistant help you. Keep the videos coming.
Just stopping to say that I love the old "barn door" or "ambulance door" style rear on the Suburbans. Too bad that GM did away with those long ago. Wife has an order in with the local GMC dealer for a Yukon just the way she wants it and it's a little sad that there's only one option for how to open up the rear hatch.
I don't know why they stopped offering the barn doors. The only reason I can think: with the barn doors you have the middle post that can get in the way when viewing through the rear view mirror. I got used to it quickly.

I'm looking at getting a pair of these also, some people online claim it made their ride bouncy ? How is your ride ?
It isn't bouncy. It is a stiffer ride in the rear. Tomorrow I will finally see how it rides while pulling a trailer.
Hey what's measurements on that cut for the fuel pump access?
Would you need to put some sort of dustcover on it for constant offroad use? Anyone know
You need to donate a mower and a weed eater to that 🏠 house on the corner... looks like a jungle.... lol lol lol 😆 🤣
Yes it did. I ended up mowing the yard for them. New neighbors ended up being two elderly ladies that had a hard time mowing.
@@SmallEngineDIY Great! You are a GOOD neighbor!
Goo job but put on eye protection. Rust in the eye one time and you will regret it.
Talk too much
