I was pretty little when KB hit the market. My parents immediately gave it major side-eye and never let me engage with it, for a while that included not watching the commercials. They saw it as a “child star mill” which to them was the equivalent of a child trafficking club. Which I mean…they weren’t totally wrong about that. They were really vigilant about stuff like child pageants and modeling too. Idk how much of a rabbit hole KB actually could be, maybe not at all. But I do share the perspective that any industry that relies on children’s looks/talent for profit does need to be under heavy scrutiny, or just not exist.

Bruh, I remember ordering the first album as a kid (or rather, having my mom call in to place an order, lol). Had to wait weeks for it to come in the mail, but I was so excited when it finally came. I ended up getting the next three albums too…but I only listened to the songs that were shown in the commercials because those were the only ones I knew…and I only knew them because they were in the commercials.
