Some of the best stuff comes as the project evolves in my experience. Those little finishing touches and creative work arounds are the most satisfying part when its all done.
The key to your outside light access is rivnuts. Replace the nut with rivnuts so a backing nut and wrench is not necessary and leave a small wrap of wire inside the camper. If you have to repair or replace the light then everything is accessed from outside. Just pull a little wire out and stuff it back in when your done. I also just cut a small round pocket into the insulation for the wire to be able to pull out and go back in. Leave your splice outside behind the light also. Worked amazing on my home built camper. Buy the tool to set them and save yourself the headache. You will find all kinds of use for this tool. I did!
I love the stairs I also like the Crome the way it is! It gives it a nice touch! I like that you changed the axel I need to do that to my tool trailer I would like to have air breaks to
Complicated, yes, but it’s a truly custom one of a kind camper that your wife and yourself have designed & built for your exact needs. Definitely something to be proud of, it’s all coming together, enjoy, cheers!
Having put tongue and groove in a trail trailer, strong glue is your best friend. Brad nails have a way of getting themsevles loose under the constant twisting and bumping motion a trailer goes through. Learned my lesson. Enjoying the series.
From what I have seen so far I'm sure you will figure everything out & it will look great. It's good to keep our minds working & it is satisfying when it is done.Great job so far.🙂🇨🇦👍👍👍👍
We are going to have to start calling you MacGyver! It's looking great and I know you will figure out all the ways you need to "MacGyver" it to work. Good luck!
Your build so far has been very inspiring, and a significant capitol investment. The issue I am having is trying to put to much in to little a space, I am on my third cad layout and probably will make more changes, also with my wife in tow realize our adventures will have a limited duration, in weather where being outside in a comfortable temperature. I enjoy your trials and tribulation, and good luck in your ongoing build.
I feel your pain, LOL! I've been working on my off-road trailer with pop up roof for almost 4 yrs, the journey never ends when you wing-it, but thats part of the fun!! I've picked up lots of little tips from you, thank you. I should also get caught up on my videos of my build, but as you know, thats another very time consuming effort. Cheers, from Barrie, ON.....I think I've seen you pass throught?
Thanks. I forgot to address that. I actually applied black silicone under the aluminum threshold before I installed it and then applied it on top. But, good eye. That’s a very important detail 👍

I agree. Just hoping I don’t screw them up 🤞 lol.
Great video Scott. You loved Brainteasers when you were a kid. Eddie the puzzle build!!! Enjoy Buddy.
thanks a lot Doug.

Thanks very much. The size is limiting but can be very comfortable. Good luck with your future plans.

Thanks Len. I pass through Barrie a lot so it's definitely possible.
Nice job, you are a talented person for sure 👍😎
thank you Ashley
Your trailer looks awesome man! Great job. Very good craftsmanship 👍
thanks
Very good
As in life, everything effects everything else whether we like it or not. That's why we're always learning. Looking good.👍
Thanks, appreciate that.
Just put a rubber lip on the outside, underside of the door. That will keep the elements out. 👍😁👍😁
That will definitely be a part of the solution.
I’m very interested to see how the fridge works out - I need one for my teardrop trailer (which has a much smaller battery capacity than your setup) 😊
Me too 😊
Make sure you seal the corners on your threshold to stop moisture from going under and rotting out the floor.

Who made your stairs I want to use the same set up your using?
