Closest equivalent I can think of is Primitive Technology...but modern and with narration. So far from a perfect comparison, but still hits that similar vibe regardless!
Not a substitute, but I would highly recommend "my mechanics" if you like Drew's attention to detail. He does the best restorations I have ever seen, and they have a similar "scratch an itch" quality to them.
I wouldn't have the mattress directly on the floor, grab a couple 2x2 or 3x3 wooden beams and creat a breathable platform to prevent damp mould and mildew, but keep up the great work looks amazing 🤩
I'm in love with your "Eclipse" stairway. The black epoxy against that live-edge is just... chef's kiss. The transition of color in the wood as it lightens up closer to the edge, then a hard transition to the black of the epoxy reminds me of the solar corona during an eclipse and it's absolutely stunning.
If you get blinds, you should get remote-controlled ones. They are really nice, and you can open and close them at the same time, which is really helpful!
Your videos still rule! There are a lot of DIY channels but you just do everything how a normal person would do it not like these huge UA-cam businesses. Love it ❤ AND IT'S SO COMFY!!!!!
Your craftsmanship is absolutely amazing!! My Dad was a custom home builder all my life as was his father. He did the plans as well as would make cabinets in our homes and some homes he built. He was well known for his work and still is today. He has been gone 5 years at 88. Your tiny home is gorgeous!! Can't wait for the kitchen!😍
Really appreciate your hard work on these epic projects and videos. Welcome home brother. Looking forward to the kitchen build. One love kind sir. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That looks incredible. I have often thought that once my kids are out of the house, that down sizing to something like this would be perfect, as long as it looks as amazing as your place does.
Great design. I would be tempted to design and build a vestibule/porch that can attach to the front door. That would give you a bit of a windbreak/mudroom. And since it would be removable, not permanent, you can take it off when you move.
This is hands down probably one of the best tiny houses I've seen. The only ones I can think of that would be any better at being a "tiny" house are ones that are basically a box on wheels that are incredibly space efficient but those also don't end up looking that good. This is the best of both worlds, feels like an actual house with the practicality of one instead of sacrificing that practicality to go as small as you can
Another amazing video, Drew!!! The stairs turned out absolutely AMAZING! ❤Love the storage space as well. I’m so curious to see the tiny home when it’s all done!
Absoluly Amazing. As alo to fpeople have already said. You are amazing, your work is top notch. Thank you, I am always excited to see a new video when it comes out. Love it. Great job.
I used nylog blue for installing two mini splits. And also made a poor man's torque wrench by feeding a luggage scale through the end of my crescent wrench. Was my first time installing. I found a video by Will Prose really helpful with step by step instruction.
Pull the couch about an inch away from the wall. It will not only damage your wall but, also your couch. The fabric will wear where it rubs on the wall. Your home is gorgeous!! Your stairs are really beautiful! Can’t wait for the kitchen!!
Couldn't think of a better way to spend my Friday night! I've been following this build from the beginning and it's looking homely already! Awesome work!
You don't need to buy an expensive house you can't afford, you need to buy a junker. With your crazy talent you'll have years' worth of videos fixing it up and customizing it.
Man I'm so proud of you Drew you got to be living the dreams by now, and I can't believe that you're selling tape measures t-shirts and picture of your tiny house. You should also start making tools that has your logo on it.
Another cracking vlog Drew. Amazing build and finish quality. Your tiny house is looking so good. Can't wait to see the kitchen build out. Be well and stay safe. Puck. 😊
Truly no compromises here. I have no idea what you have even spent on this home so far, but it must be a very large sum by now. Absolutely love the stairs, and the carpet on the loft floor sounds much better than wood. Since it is a loft and bedroom, anything else would feel bad eventually. Really loving this series so far and looking forward to the last part and getting to see the place fully furnished and completed.
You never cease to amaze me with your inventiveness and ingenuity. You are an inspiration to us all mate.. this is what homo sapiens are all aboot people :)
There is seriously no substitute for this guy. His videos scratch an itch
Agreed

I almost thought we'd get another video without a caulk joke, good to see you still care about tradition.
Perfect timing for a chill evening watch!
Those stair treads are the most impressive thing i have ever seen. Wow. Great job.
DBS is top 3 youtubers to watch while baked I can't even lie. Great video!
I wouldn't have the mattress directly on the floor, grab a couple 2x2 or 3x3 wooden beams and creat a breathable platform to prevent damp mould and mildew, but keep up the great work looks amazing 🤩
You can also get a mat that goes under it. I believe it is made of bamboo. They use them in vans and buses.

How do you open and close them at the same time?
@@damnfk063 They probably meant "same time each day programmatically"
Your home is turning out beautifully. Thanks for sharing the process with us!
DREW YOU HAD US WAITINGGGG BROSKI
From UK, every part of the creation of your videos is premier. The editing, script, humble approach. World class sir.
The tiny house looks so much better with snow on the ground
Don’t think I’ve ever seen detail work like this on a house, tiny or not. Incredible.
OMG those stairs are gorgeous. reminds me of tigers eye!! AMAZING work Drew!
I can’t get enough of Drew’s builds
Gonna leave this quick not sure if you have or not yet. Put some thick rubber pads under the outdoor unit mounting. Will save you from rattles :).
Your videos still rule! There are a lot of DIY channels but you just do everything how a normal person would do it not like these huge UA-cam businesses. Love it ❤ AND IT'S SO COMFY!!!!!
Love the stairs! Blacktail Studio would be proud.
I don’t think there’s ever been videos I wanted to not end as much as yours. These are amazing and I hope your neck/shoulder are getting better
It’s turning out beautifully.
i love his craftsmanship
This could not come at a better time for me in my life right now, thank you.

Very nicely done. It's beautiful and not made with short cuts.
Those stairs are really incredible work.
Bravo,
You did an amazing job with your tiny home !
Always amazes me how perfectly everything is engineered to fit together. Very satisfying to watch.
Great design. I would be tempted to design and build a vestibule/porch that can attach to the front door. That would give you a bit of a windbreak/mudroom. And since it would be removable, not permanent, you can take it off when you move.
Those STAIRS!!! 👏👏Absolute beautiful
Always a good day when there's a new Drew vid.
If SEMA had an event for 'Nicest Tiny House'...you would win!
Beautiful work. The stairs are a really cool design. Well done.

The stairs are gorgeous!!! That is the best use of an epoxy pour I've ever seen.
It's always a great day when you release a video!
I like it when Drew builds stuff :3
Incredible as always... the video ends and it's hard to believe 49+ minutes just flew by so quickly. Super excited to get one of the mech boxes...
A day that drew uploads a video is always a good day
Another amazing video, Drew!!! The stairs turned out absolutely AMAZING! ❤Love the storage space as well. I’m so curious to see the tiny home when it’s all done!

It looks beautiful. I hope you get some relief from your neck pain.
Absoluly Amazing. As alo to fpeople have already said. You are amazing, your work is top notch. Thank you, I am always excited to see a new video when it comes out. Love it. Great job.

This is the best design for a tiny house that I have so far seen, good job 👍

Couldn't think of a better way to spend my Friday night! I've been following this build from the beginning and it's looking homely already! Awesome work!
I'll say....Blacktail Studio would be proud...👍
You don't need to buy an expensive house you can't afford, you need to buy a junker. With your crazy talent you'll have years' worth of videos fixing it up and customizing it.
Unfortunately the “junkers” are still 600k, doesn’t seem to matter if they need repairs in this area
What a beautiful room! You really know how to live your life!
Those walnut slabs looked like they would have made some sick guitars!
Man I'm so proud of you Drew you got to be living the dreams by now, and I can't believe that you're selling tape measures t-shirts and picture of your tiny house. You should also start making tools that has your logo on it.
What a video man! I love your work!! It is truly amazing and fun to watch.
