Better than getting a stop and go, so you can go on to win the race. Ask Hamilton
@@garymurphy5133 Better than inflicting a stop and go to Hospital to yourself. Ask Verstappen
Obviously kidding here, but what's with this Hamilton hatred when Verstappen has been playing with the limits of all drivers for all his career, with much more hazardous dives. Verstappen didn't close the door as he thought Hamilton wasn't going to dive in at that point, got surprised and didn't want to concede to force Hamilton to let go but didn't have the room to try that one. Sure, Hamilton isn't hugging the line as much as he could, but that's not even in the rulebook. Idk man, but if that move from Hamilton is dangerous, then Verstappen shouldn't even be in F1. Lad should shut up and drive, he makes for a sore loser for someone leading the championship.

@@squeakybunny2776 Fair, although judging by just how many CPU hours they've run on CFD for this I'd be surprised if they haven't run a lot of Large Eddy Simulations as well. They're significantly more accurate and robust than the regular Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes methods that I'm fairly sure are mostly used by the teams (they don't have the CPU hours or the time to run a lot of LES). Sure, the exact downforce loss figures in the video are a rough baseline since it obviously changes when cars corner or bounce over kerbs and stuff, and teams add their own touches to the designs, but the amount of downforce gained compared to current generation cars is very impressive. And they also have wind tunnel data for it, it can't just be a faulty CFD.
