This is just my opinion but as someone who was formerly morbidly obese and now is a healthy weight I fully support this program. Showing people who hate themselves that they are worthy of love and being accepted is the first step in choosing to pursue health. Most morbidly obese people hate themselves and have convinced themselves that they are worthless- turning to food to cope. If they can see they are normal people who deserve love they may choose to extend their life that they now love.

I'm in the same situation and I completely agree I wish there was a place like this I could have gone when I was 420 pounds and legitimately breaking furniture the isolation and self hatred was a big reason why I used food to cope

It is difficult, but the best thing you can do to yourself is to stop thinking and analyzing WHAT OTHERS THINK OF YOU. Do what you enjoy, make yourself happy - and be happy. You do not "have to squeeze" yourself into society. Wish you lots of love and confidence. You are good, kind hearted, beautiful and gentle people.

I believe people should lose weight and get healthy because it can greatly improve your quality of life but I also believe if people don't or while they're in the process there should be spaces for them when I was at my heaviest 420 pounds I was very isolated and it was miserable and it contributed to just getting worse having a vacation like this is probably actually psychologically beneficial and would help them to take the steps to lose the weight

So heart felt and thoughtful…..this is truly a gift for people. I know what it is like to feel self conscious about my weight, to the point of feeling intimidated on a beach , or in a swimsuit. People struggle with social body shaming. Weight is a difficult thing to struggle with. The emotions, health challenges, image, etc. This is really great for someone to recognize that these people need a chance to live, experience life freely and confidently without such social pressure.

People who think they know everything but actually don't know much. People who feel free to judge others. This is what is wrong with the world. Not all bodies are equal, not our metabolism, not our biochemistry, not our allergies, not our appetites, not our hormones, not our brain chemistry, not our reactions to drugs, not our genetics-- actually not a fecking thing about bodies is the same across the population-- so you can't know anything about how those bodies, so unlike your own, can or cannot lose weight. Everything can kill someone. Driving a car and leaving the house can kill you. I studied biochemistry for years. We know very little. If you think weight loss is simple, you would be wrong. Attitudes like yours are what is wrong with the world.

  • @sarah-rubywilliams-ramouta8146

Omg! Being overweight is not a birth defect. Their bodies look like that because they are eating too much. Stop crying, put in the work, take control and you will change your body and your life. Can you imagine how wonderfully light and free they will feel if they would shed the weight, how much easier it would be to breathe and do regular, daily chores. Love yourself enough to give yourself those precious things, the future you will be so happy that you did… ♥️💪

Food addiction is the same as any other addiction except you can't just avoid food forever like you could for alcohol or substances. Would you go out onto skid row or another similarly disadvantaged area with a high percentage of drug abusers and tell them to stop crying and fix themselves because it would be easier in their day to day life if they had more money to save for somewhere go live if they stop spending it all on drugs? Telling someone you don't know, unsolicited, to lose weight is a very similar situation.
