I wish this era was still around... this is when my mom was in her teens and this was a great time to have grown up. I grew up in the 1970s if I could take the time machine and go back to the 70s I would in a heartbeat. Our country today is a joke. There's no morals no center no god-fearing people left anymore it's just a mess. I like the fact that this chick found solace and recreating the past and it makes her happy so more power to her!
5:27 her bf look so miserable.. controlling what he can do is too much but I love the idea of living in the 50s
I love that time period. I wish there could be whole town that I could live in that role played the 50’s every day. Even a vacation town would be awesome.
She looks gourgeous !! 🤩🤩
I feel the same way about the 1940s. You go, Doris !❤
She looks beautiful.
Doris is such a sweet soul...very beautiful, classy and stylish woman. Bravely and happily living outside of social norms. It's nice to see a woman whose wardrobe isn't filled with sweaters and yoga pants. The eloquent way she speaks proves that she doesnt have a phone! Her mind isnt wasted scrolling and picking up useless vocabulary from social media.
I don’t like how she said, “when I was younger I was fat, I had freckles, a gap in my teeth.” There’s nothing wrong with any of those things at all. So many kids are chubby and then they have a growth spurt and lose the weight. And if anyone doesn’t lose it, and is a bit more plump, who cares?! And freckles are BEAUTIFUL!! I have a face full of them and always have. Now people are getting freckles TATTOOED ON THEIR FACE! Just had to get that off my chest. We are all beautiful no matter what.
It was a beatiful time and she is on to something very true. Even the time when she says. Women where women and men where men. Decency was one of the key factors and the style was world changing.
0:46 wtfff why show that
Omg is that supposed to be what I think??
I was so shocked!
This lady would LOVE SewRena . She’s the exact same but makes her clothes from scratch from vintage sewing magazines. Her house is a time capsule!!!
Aww she is so adorable and true to herself ❤
Great. I wanna live in the 90s. I was a teenager at that time.
I'd still go there 1950's style
Now a days ,,, her style is everywhere
4:02 had that same radio in my 2001 Honda Civic..
GOTTEM
Dore's is a cool lady. Love her Style. ❤

I can’t blame her, this generation is absolutely messed up. 😢
And the 50s wasn't? It was a grand ol time for everyone involved, huh? Sure lol!!
Es de 2012
At least we're not as racist. Even the laws for women are better now. Glad to be from this era. I adore the vintage aesthetic, not their values.
@@slaughteringggexalty!
get use to it times change
She is awesome! I agree with her!
Beautiful!
She’s lying if u pause at 0:41 her tv has a modern TV inside the 50s tv lmao
She also wouldn’t be shacking up with a man she’s not married to.
👆 I second that @@brett8460
I didn't even notice until you mentioned it looks like a 50's tv casing around the modern TV
There's a lot of reasons as to why she probably could not have a 50's television...
I noticed how weird it looked. I wasn't quite sure what I was looking at.
I love everything about the 50's, the music was better, the television shows were better, people dressed very nice, people were friendly and caring toward each other, despite its problems, it was a great time, one of my favorite television shows is Peter Gunn, Craig Stevens looks so cool in his Brooks Brothers suits and Lola Albright looks so beautiful!🍸
She's cool. I like the 50s too.
I’ve always thought about doing this, I thought I was crazy but I am so amazed there is someone out there like this. I wanna meet her!
0:40 thats a newer tv disguised as a older tv. VHS/dvd combo probably from the 90s. Has a older tv shell though, A for effort i guess
probably early-mid 2000s. DVDs were invented in the 90s, but weren't really popular enough(or players cheap enough) that they would have one built into a TV. I'd guess like 2002-2004ish
I love her car, it's beautiful
Please tell me putting bags over the shoes was just for the show though! If shoes are that hard to find I wouldn’t risk ruining them to make a fashion statement. I’d just change my shoes when I get to my destination 😂
I like the music at 4:34 it sounds like a waltz
she reminds me of monica lewinsky.
I would love the morals and values of the 50s, along with the preservative part of fashion.
Saw her ig I’m loving it for her you can tell she definitely changed but still doing what she loves and has a family good for her ✊🏽
Yeah especially if kids are involved. They'll either start to ruin her things or she'll be forced to use modern things like strollers, bottles without lead in them etc etc.
One way or another, she'll be smoked out.
She is still heavily involved in the Rockabilly scene, pinup modeling 40s & 50s style.
I live and dress like its the 60s or 1970, so i completely understand and admire her!!!
Sir, thats not your wife...
Get a cell phone.
The irony is she doesnt like the way her peers treat ppl today 😅? Girl u cant be that oblivious to the segration and hate going on in the 1950's 🤨
Thank u
You're acting like this is the 1950s today. Calm down!🤣🤷🏽♂️
I could totally be her neighbor and friend agree with her all the way I listen to the 40’s and 50’s music and watch movies from the 40’s and 5o’s so much seriously needs to come back from those eras the good stuff of those times 😘🥰
Wow she is stunning! I wish I was like that. She is so beautiful and she dances to her own beat. God bless you Doris.

Lives in Minnesota and, before this segment, had not thought out how to navigate winter. Good grief...
She had just relocated from living all her life in Vegas. It was her bf in this video at the time that was from MN.
That tv had a dvd player AND she put it in an old television frame! Lol
Well I’m like living in 1990s I born in mid 90s and bring back good memories.
For real I love her 😍😍! Indeed it was the bests time the 1950!
You know what, props to her!! 🎉😎👍
The 1950 had legal segregation and black people didn’t have voting rights. Voting rights were not passed till the mid 1960s
Not in NYC where I'm from
not the point goofy
Yeah not everything about the 50s was good
There’s still so much nonsense today. There has never and will never be a perfect time.
Congrats for making this about race!!
The car is so cool. Honestly this one is the most harmless “my strange addiction” that car is my absolute favorite I’ll say it again. She’s happy doing what she does, I’m completely on her side about how people were back then vs. How trashy and shitty people are today. Things were made quality and not cheap and disposable
I wish I had a wife like Her I'm totally obsessed with the 1950s and I'm in my 30s.
Eu não julgo, também amo o estilo de vida da decada de 50.
