Pam and Oscar definitely have an unexplored friendship. She sits with him at lunch every time Jim isn't there and she is the first person he told that the senator is gay.
It's a subtle moment, but I think it's hilarious how Erin just says "I don't know" and leaves the guy to figure it out for himself instead of asking Pam or Michael or someone haha - SO in line with her character
You do realize the writers had to make her say something like that so that the guy himself takes the initiative & announces that he wants to speak to the "office administrator", a non-existent post in that office? The line, though, suits Erin. Also, in other scenes, Erin does in fact takes help of others when such things happen at the reception desk. The Office show is made up of amazing little hidden subtle things. But not everything is. This particular 'subtlety' was an explicit need of the script to proceed to the next plot point.

IMO this was one of Pam's best moments. Her confidence was brimming and pulled off something pretty amazing. The way she held Gabe's feet to the fire was so satisfying.
The irony is that Pam failed at sales - then sold the idea of her being an office administrator to everyone and kept doing everything she could to keep the job. That’s good sales material.
It's different, selling to people you know for years and to the strangers. But I guess if her clients had chances to know Pam for years, they would bought it as well.
A lot of people are bitchin about Pam being manipulative and arrogant while Ryan, Todd Packer, Andy (season 9) exist.. Also the fact that Dwight literally have done far more worse like forcing immigrant worker to work for him and not pay them. I did this at work. I work for a small company that doesn’t know anything about computers, so when they started looking at improving business in lockdown I kept giving them suggestions for stuff on social media until I was given the job of Social Media Manager 😂
i love how michael just signed without any hesitation. i had a boss like that, he was awesome. you had the whole explanation in your head with paper proof but he was just _gimme_ as he draw a weird line and was gone in seconds. he got a better job later. sucked cause he was our favorite.

When she failed miserably, she turned to another deceitful action of hers to get the Admin job. In real life, she would have been either suspended or fired for her actions but of course, they have to show that the woman protagonist of the show is never wrong! I don't know how badly you people justify the wrongdoings of people you like especially when the favored person is a woman.

I wouldn't say a computer graduate level, but it was enough for a small recruitment agency. They needed someone to handle their IT stuff: printing, designing (flyers, posters, adds, etc), manage their Data, help in online applications on the gvt portals, sign people up on Gmail etc. I started when they sent me an Ethernet cable, then fixed the router, then connected the security cameras, then setting up the computers and cable management... Without realizing, I landed myself a job as 'IT SUPPORT' midst the pandemic. I'm currently learning coding and design to later apply for Front-end dev jobs.
Pam was so brave. I would cave when Gabe ask her to admit. She stood her ground, she risked Gaba accusing her, it's 50:50 chance haha. She deserved that job, I guess.
It's amazing it took 7 seasons for an office administrator or manager position became available. I wonder if the writers realised this and thus wrote Pam in to the role...

Our old office manager was a bit of a bully and left without any notice. My boss was all in a panic so I just absorbed her role. I relate to Pam a lot on this.
