It's actually really sad. Angela is a manipulative little see you next Tuesday. That might not even be his son. Dwight was supposed to defeat the simps, not join them.
Dwight saying “I’m not kidding, I need you” after chucking the bean bag at Jim’s head, always made me wonder how aware Dwight was on Jim’s pranks. Or maybe Dwight finally just wised up about Jim after 9 plus years.
The first moment their friedship becomes painfully clear is when Dwight quits and then he hugs Jim in the parking lot while making the saddest face you've ever seen (apart from Kevin's famous chilli)
Why’d you have to take a sad but beautiful moment and ruin it with the saddest moment in the Office history? I don’t know how Kevin ever recovered from that.
I hope Jim and Pam would've died in season 1, they're so annoying. They're literally just taking up screen time. I have to skip forward every time these scumbags are shown
and to bring it full circle the way they did was genius. The ending was probably the most perfect ending to a series while not trying to wrap everything up too neatly. How long did Creed serve? Or did he use a Get out of jail free card?
They’re like brothers! They love each other but get on each others nerves. For instance, when they are in Florida Dwight goes in the room with Jim and they sit on the bed and eat pudding and watch a movie. Yet they prank and plot each other. It’s one of the best office relationship
I love the scene where Jim and Dwight are talking in Dwight's office, and it's one of the only times we truly see Dwight in a very vulnerable state, and it really touches me with how Jim really helps Dwight.
an underrated part of this clip, is the couple seconds after Jim said “not as good as you” @ 6:52. When Dwight goes “that’s very true … get the hell outta here” on the verge of tears and Jim makes 1 last look to the camera, he goes “you got it.” I love that. Dwight earned his dream of being manager, and Jim is finally following his superior’s commands completely. It just exhibits both of their complete respect for each other in the end. With the music playing in the background of Pam’s journey with Jim, it’s my favorite part of this upload.
I literally was watching all these episodes this morning while I was cooking and cleaning, for the hundredth time lol I can not never tear up at the end ......
Seeing all that footage of Jim and Pam...it's enough to make a grown man cry, and that's okay. Dwight is a leader who knows best, and he is lucky to have a pal like Jim! Our artists were the ones who created that poster in the background at 0:40 for Dwight, so I'm glad he appreciates it! Fun facts: Angela's son, Phillip, was played by twins Vince and Evan Edwards. The child that filmed the scene in which Phillip picked the beet was only supposed to point to the beet. In the end, the child said "beet!", which the episode director called "Amazing". Dwight's test to see if Phillip is his son has been compared to a similar scene in the 1997 film Kundun, in which Tibetan monks practice a similar ritual.
Dwight and Jim saying they overcame their differences like *"We were bad, but now we're good".* That Lenin-esque portrait of Dwight in the background is chef's kiss. Jules Kmetzko was the one who created that portrait, she was the same one who did Pam's watercolor of Dunder Mifflin that hung on the walls. The idea to have Jim finally give Pam his card had been considered in the writers' room for some time, but only during A.A.R.M. did the writers feel it was the right time. The card and envelope was the same one used for Christmas Party almost seven years prior. The card actually contained a genuine message that Krasinski wrote for Fischer! Director David Rogers admitted that the Pam and Jim video was inspired by a number of fan videos that exist on the internet. The reason that Open Your Eyes by Snow Patrol plays over the video is that Claire Scanlon, the series editor, felt that it was similar in style to Sing by Travis, which played in the second season episode The Client.
Jim has to be the luckiest guy to have had a film crew capture the majority of the moments he's had with Pam. And to use that for a short compilation to present to her
Many people don't like the last seasons, but they had the most character development for Dwight and as my favorite character I absolutely love these seasons. The show was definitely not the same without Michael, but I still think they did a good job.
I'll never forgive Angela for not letting Dwight raise his own child for YEARS. That is just simply cruel and the worst thing she did over the course of the show. In addition, she had an opportunity to make sure that philip was taken care for by telling dwight the truth but she was too selfish to look out for her own child.
omg that's so true. it's funny that she calls other people whorish and thinks she's so pure and superior when she was having an affair with dwight while engaged to andy, had a child out of wedlock, then lied to the father of that child and kept the baby from him for years
Dwight had the opportunity to be with Angela much sooner and she was warming up to the idea, but he decided to blow her off to go be Hay King. And that's when she met the Senator... State Senator.
This is how you truly make a show. Characters that never break their mold, but actually evolve at the end. There will never be another sitcom like this.

He loved that company and even though he's very strict, they coulda made it work. Are we just going to ignore how Angela kept Dwight and his son apart for the first year or more of his life purely as a test of his commitment? Neither of them deserve that type of abuse
This is the only thing that soils this episode. Dwight is totally fine when he should be livid. Just to test him, she took away the first few years of bonding between the two. Hypocritical, self righteous and narcissistic and yet Dwight goes for her as opposed to Esther. Idk it really runs me wrong man, I would've loved to have a conclusion where she doesn't have a happy ending.
Ok but at first she was with the senator. And it really only became a test of his loyalty in the last week (or however long that episode spans) But she should have told him.
She wasn't testing his commitment, she already knew he was committed. She didn't want to marry out of obligation. She wanted to marry for love. She explained it pretty clearly in the clip.
@@gregorymoore2877 regardless of whether you say she was testing his commitment or testing his love, she kept a dad and son apart for a year for selfish reasons when they should have been bonding

There's a lot to not like about the last couple seasons of The Office, but I've always appreciated that they wrapped up Dwight's character arc by the end. He worked hard for it.
