I mean, he did surprisingly well. Dwight showed up just as he was closing it, maybe the reason it got stuck was even just because he was rushed.
though now that I think about it it's less "that Kevin could rewire the elevator" that's mindblowing and more "SOMEONE COUNTED ON KEVIN to rewire the elevator." that's a lot more respect than he normally gets

It funny how some nerds are actually saying Jim and Pam are horrible people for pranking Dwight but forget that Dwight literally tried to get everyone fired at least once and betrayed Michael several times and sabotaged his company for his own gain while Jim actually saved Dwight from being fired when Michael wanted to make him his scapegoat
Also stole Jim's biggest sale, abandoned Phyllis, de-plyed all the toilet paper, tried to charge people for using the bathroom, fired a gun in the office, tried to frame Toby...
not only then , jim also sasved dwight when robert california was going to fire him for the Sabre Stores

They could've just went about their day and not let Dwight bother them. Dwight just wants attention the best way to handle that is not react to anything he does.

Early seasons of The Office are so genius. Pam doing pranks on Dwight, it's like her trying to live the memory of being with Jim. It's subtle, funny and hearthbreaking at once.
Those were later episodes pam never pranked anyone unless jim was involved and she would be low-key involved

When Dwight wasn't being a narc he said some very redeemable qualities
Deep down, I do feel they are friends, or atleast Dwight considering it. When he overheard Pam feeling that she was a failure, he made her seem that she won over him (when he had bought the building and he was setting some weird changes at the office)
He did give up a quickie with Angela to keep holding Pam’s baby for her. Thats a big gesture. lol

This also shows how good of a sport Angela is. She had MANY opportunities to step in and spoil the fun, but in most cases she is just as eager as everyone else to see how the pranks play out.
Tbh I think Angela has some of the best development because at the start she hates everyone, but by the end, she's besties with Oscar, marrying Dwight, very close to Pam, good to Phyllis and even adores Kevin.

Or rather living down to it. She didn’t have to be as bad as Jim.
It was meant to be. At one point before they finally started dating, Jim mentioned that Pam loves a good prank (I believe it was when Andy wanted to ask Pam out and pumped Jim for tips on things she liked, so Jim told him everything she DIDN’T like instead! 🤣).
Jim rarely defends Pam in the shows run because he really is more of a passive, non-confrontational guy (though he always makes her feel better in his Jim way) but seeing him stand up for her to his brothers is so precious to me because it shows how much he believes in her and how proud he is of her 🥹

This show truly allows living vicariously through every single prank they ever pulled, starting with the stapler in the Jello and all that followed. For my whole working life so far, I have dreamt of such wonders.
Your workplace needs a “Michael” figure and a “Dwight” figure. Hard working but easily entertained and a bit narcissistic. I think those are the ingredients.
At least one employee of any rank must have Dwight levels of buy in. Or else no one cares and there’s no stakes to anything.

The only time I did NOT live vicariously was when we DID put someone's stapler in jello. And it didn't even phase him - he picked it up, went in another attorney's office who hadn't showed up yet that morning, & took a stapler while leaving the jello one, then said "Joke's on you guys." 😂🤦♀️ But once the other guy got to work, he gave us the reaction we all hoped for, & even threw the jello away, stapler & all. We retrieved it for fear of damaging company property. 🤣

Pam’s pranks were often more complicated, but her joyful response to Jim putting Dwight’s stapler in jello in the pilot set the stage for epic Asian Jim prank late in the final season

Asian Jim was my first exposure to The Office when I was hung over at a college friends place after a party back in like 2017 😂 I was so SHOCKED by the lengths they went to convince Dwight and genuinely had no idea who Jim really was so yeah. I’ve been hooked ever since.
I like the fact that Pam kept on evolving her prankster version as the seasons went on. Kudos to her 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I have always loved that for practically all pranks the rest of the office does NOTHING! They just keep to themselves no matter the joke. Except the time Jim paid each of them to call him Dwayne all day. Actually....... for that prank, I wonder how Angela reacted. If it’s the Dwight being called Dwayne it was Season 2 Episode 21 titled “Conflict Resolution.” They don’t actually show the prank, they are discussing some of the pranks Dwight had tried reporting to corporate but Toby never filed. If you mean the snowball episode it’s the Season 7 Episode 11 titled “Classy Christmas.”

Dwight disobeyed the CIA’s orders to destroy the phone. He simply discarded it; while it’s likely the phone may have been damaged when it finally landed, there is no guarantee it was actually destroyed, and data could still have been extracted. He should have smashed it completely with a bat or hammer to ensure all chips were destroyed. Who needs an agent like him who can’t follow simple orders? 😁
