3:16 is one of the most beautiful moment of the show. It's basically Jim declaring his feelings, and he does it with no words. Great writing
And masterful acting
That was a new level of relatability for me
Stanley really acts like a teacher seeing his students making fun of him
The way he said Hi after long pause was so adorable. The acting levels are way too high

Just finished The Office for the first time yesterday. Can someone tell me what I'm supposed to do with my life now? During all the final episodes with the goodbyes etc it felt like I had to separate from year long friends as well and leave them forever. Life after The Office is pointless.

Ah! The good old days of early Seasons when Jim and Pam weren't married. The cute chemistry between them. I love it.
They way she skips after him into the break room is great and so cute. Honestly after they were married, Pam’s chemistry just went away. She didn’t feel like Pam anymore. She was just.. there
Imo the show took it's first hit once Jim and Pam got together. Not that they should've strung it out further either; I think the will they/won't they phase was done very well. It's just once they were together the show lost one of it's main plotlines.
Honestly I liked Pam up until after Michael left she felt more realistic I suppose with the stress from the kids but I didn’t really like her all that much imo
You guys are crazy. Their whole arc is arguably one of the most realistic, non-fantasized portrayals of romance in popular media. Of course as time goes on they seem less preppy and cute, that’s exactly how it works in real life. It’s not puppy love anymore. They had some real strains on their marriage as they were trying to accomplish their goals and start a family, but they made it through and in doing so they realized where their priorities are (i.e. in each other). If you think love is always happy go lucky and smiles 24/7, there’s a lot more to it that you’re not seeing.
Big Blue of course I’m not saying that isn’t what it is cuz we’ll it shows a realistic relationship however it doesn’t mean we don’t have our opinions on the character ya know?
That's not just great acting. That's great writing as well. The whole thing with him not being able to talk serving as a metaphor for him no being able to talk about his feelings is genius.
Then they both converge at 3:03
They knew their true feelings. Pam cheated on Roy.

Omg ikr
Did she realize that when she changed the expression?
@@MrBunny53 Yep.
I don’t think she did. She could obviously tell he wanted to say something and maybe the thought crossed her mind, but she seemed completely blindsided when he finally confessed. Plus, there were several moments throughout Seasons 2 and 3 where it was clear to the audience they had feelings for each other yet they didn’t seem to notice in each other, like when they hung out on the deck of the boat in Booze Cruise or on his bed when he threw that party.
@@matthewlebo1841 Oh, the feelings were definitely obvious in Booze Cruise, which is why Pam hastily went back indoors. And in Email Surveillance, you can see the tenderness in Jim's eyes as he watches Pam reading through his yearbook. Pam also gazes at him in adoration when he sings with Michael.

Why isnt anybody talking about how gorgeous her smile is 1:42
I genuinely love the relationship that Jim and Kelly had as friends. Even though she talks to much and Jim's discomfort is obvious, it's sweet that Kelly sees him as a protective guy friend, like when she says that the dress doesn't reveal too much "don't worry".
I think Jim just likes Kelly... from afar. His faces in 2x14 were priceless, though. He did give Kelly a hug when he came back from Stamford, which I thought was a nice little moment.
3:15 how dod I not notice this before but Jim looks down like that because he actually has something that he wants to say
How can you never notice that ? That's the entire point of the scene.

That last line was meant to be applicable to Jim too. Brilliant writing. What one gets out of a relationship may not always be tangible & thus incomprehensible to others.

2:54 that’s what she said
0:11 Pam's smile is the cure for the coronavirus.
When Pam was telling Him "you can tell me anything" that would be a great moment for Jim to say "I love you"
He physically can't because he was jinxed. The rules are unflinchingly rigid.
He did and pam understood
At this point there are two "barriers" keeping him from confessing his feelings. The first barrier is Jinx. The second barrier is that Pam is in a relationship. The agony is that when she does tell him "you can tell me anything" giving him an opening, he is as far as he will ever be from being able to tell her what he wants to tell her.
He did say that with all expressions
This is probably the most underrated deep moments in the show. Jim is jinxed because of which he can’t talk and the same time he’s not able to her express his feelings for Pam, that creates such an emotional parallel for him. For Pam is a game and probably a nice joke, but it shows on Jim’s face as to how hard it is for him to be actually playing that role in real life. The way he expresses his feelings through Dwight’s relationship with Michael as an example just adds on to that.
Nice one!
This is like PEAK cuteness for Pam. Jeez. We were all in love with her right alongside Jim
Pam:
Jim, you can tell me anything
Jim:
*silence*
That scene is so powerful. In that moment we see into Jim’s heart and how much he truly cares abt Pam. The silence he has to keep in the game reflects his real feelings and how he can’t break the silence by telling Pam how he truly loves her. Such a good scene!!🙌🏻🙌🏻
The fact that jim kept it up even when Pam wasn’t there shows his loyalty to her
He basically sacrificed his reputation to look like a total idiot all day for Pam.

Pam's skip to the break room is everything.
The way Pam jump-walks to vending machine.... It's so pure 🥺
the way jim said “hi” tho :,)
So, did anyone else think that Pam's little skip and hop on the way to the vending machine was priceless?😀
“What does he get from that relationship?” I loved the double meaning. He was talking about the way Dwight acted for Michael but also his own feelings to Pam. I didn’t notice that the first time watching.
Yes, but I don't think that Jim realised it applied to him and Pam. I got the impression that the cameramen, being more perceptive, noticed the parallel. We see Jim and Pam talking through their lens (pun not intended), rather than Jim, whom we know is comfortable lying through his teeth about his feelings.
The "You look like you have something really important to say but you just can't for some reason" scene is probably one of the best scenes in Jim and Pam's romantic tension, god it's just way too good.
