Awesome instructions !! Changed out our thermostat and while it was idling the water pump started leaking 🙄🙄🙄🙄 We have a 2012 Equinox LT-1 w/3.0 L V6 flex fuel !! When it rains it pours ! Might as well change the upper and lower radiator hoses 😅😅😅😅 The joys of having vehicles paid off 😮😮😮😮
Thank you for taking the time to make the video! I have a coolant leak and have been adding water every month or so but I finally see its coming from the water pump area and suspect its that. Videos like yours makes it a whole lot easier for me to do the job.
@@shawnkmorse one more thing... what is the coolant filling procedure on these engines or what did you do when you refilled with coolant? My 3.0 v6 Terrain doesn't have a radiator cap, the manual only mentions the surge tank. No mentions of burping or bleeding of air either.
Hey there I’m sure you already did this job but I noticed the new parts weephole is significantly bigger. I haven’t been into it yet but I think the oe one is super small. It does have a weep hole though

What brand water pump did you get? Does it matter?

Where did you place the floor jack under the vehicle?
@@brandonc.6500 under the oil pan with a 2x6 to disperse the load over the whole width of the oil pan so I didn’t crush.
