2010-2017 Equinox V6! 2nd Gen 2010-2017 Chevy Equinox V6. I called my local dealer to get an estimate on changing the spark plugs and was quoted $385. Watch and Save a lot of Money! I will show you why you shouldn't be intimidated by what seems to be a difficult job just because the intake manifold has to come off in order to install some of the spark plugs.

I would suggest cleaning the entire engine before removing the plugs and plenum. To prevent any material from entering the engine. Also cover up the input ports while working. Next replacement of the coll packs, especially if there is 100,000 miles on them. We don't want too repeat this work all over again. Lastly, take the opportunity to replace any hard to reach sensors. Like the coolest sensor

Great video. I don't know where you live but here in Florida, I visited 3 dealers and the cost for this job was $2400. I wanted to change the coil packs also but that's part of the job and should only be parts added cost. They all want to double the labor for that. I bought all the OEM parts for $460 and will do it myself saving me around $2000. Give yourself a pat on the back for this video. Times are tough and that $2000 will get us a lot of survival necessities.

Thanks for this video. My 2015 Impala 3.6 is just like that. I have 75,000 on it, so at some point I will do this, now that I know how. Right now, it's time for it's first brake change. I would also replace the gasket as long as the intake is off. Why chance an air leak. It sure was a lot easier to work on engines when they were in a rear wheel drive.

after removing the coils, but before you remove the plugs, it would be a good idea to use some air and blow out the area around each plug so no dirt gets into the cylinders

Thanks for the video. By the way, take good care of the oil filler neck to not break it. There's no stand alone replacement for it, you'll have to change the whole valve cover to fix it. It's not in the video but I just wanted you to know as I've been through this issue.
