wow! what a great setup...the layout, including the programming of each effect, delay, tone etc...is so well thought out....literally covered pretty much anything needed...and that acoustic overdriven tone was amazing! Thanks for taking the time to do the walkthrough!
Hi Kevin! Great video, so inspiring, thank you for sharing! I have a question: how did you set your microphone routing in the looper? I have the same setup (RC600, VE500) but I’m forced to go out from my VE500 in dual mono so I can select one input microphone for just singing and the other one to be recorded in the RC600 but doing so I lose the stereo image on reverbs and harmonies for example. I have some ideas on how to fix it but maybe you’ve got better advices! Greetings from Italy! 😁
Great sounds! I do have a question. I am just getting back to using Boss again (been using the Voicelive 3 for several years) and I really love the distortion type sound you have going on from the lower right pedal. Any recommendations on getting something like that with the RC600? Your suggested starting points? Im using a US ovation Elite that has undersaddle pickup.
Love your setup man! Hands down! Question, how were you able to setup the vrec button from your morningstar to the rc 600 to switch mic 1&2 also what are the name of those 3footswitch pedals, are they midi connected or via trs? Also how wer you able to your midi connections completely touse across midi able pedals?
Thanks man! the mic switching button can be set up with any button, midi or on the rc600. just set the assign to mute mic 1 and mic 2, then switch them so they alternate the 3 button switches came custom made from "pedalnetics" connected via trs to the morningstar
love the setup, its actually so simple, no mega patches on the hx stomp, just what you need when you need. Great pedalboard. One question, what is the chassis of the board your using, is it custom or othewise?
Glad you like it! The chassis came from an Amazon purchase, just PVC backed plywood with a metal border The riser came from a Reverb store that builds custom sizes from "fix pedalboard shops"
hello Ramona! Always great to hear from you Yes, you have that completely correct except for button number 9, does not have a designated stop button I really suggest having the play and stop buttons next to each other. I'll be making a video soon describing the benefits
Love the board! How are you getting so many different pedals to work with the RC 600. I assume the 2 aux pedal jacks and midi. How do you like the Morningstar? Great Job BTW!!
"Here we go", (hits loop button) - commercial starts - gotta love youtube Nice video, Would you rather have a table top/PC/mac system or the pedal route like you're doing now? if you had to do it over
Great set up, I like the flow you have with your board. Question, are the two NUX buttons in both the control button input on the back of the RC 600? If so, what is the 3 button switch under buttons 1 & 2 plugged into?
Another quick question. Do you know any way to get around the 16 assigns limit? Like maybe sysex or another work around? Do you use the RC 600 editor. It is an amazing tool. I spoke with Moose the creator of the editor. He hasn't figured out away around the assign limit either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Again, Great work on the board!!
little late to the party, but how did you set the hold=clear all on the redo switch? when i went to assign the functions, there werent any combinations of all clear and redo together? did you create it somehow or maybe I just need to update my firmware?
also - how did you set up the mic splitter? i was looking at using a ABY switch, but xlr versions are kind of bulky - can the rc600 do that all internally?!
Why arent you using any of the built in effects (guitar and vocals) that comes with the RC-600? Couldn't you have just gone with a cheaper and less complicated mixer if you were going to be using all of those external effects and controller? I had a board very similar to yours...HX Stomp, TouchLive, MIDI Maestro, Aeros Looper... basically an almost identical setup as yours except that i was using an Aeros Looper at the time. I bought the RC-600 and was able to get rid of everything...the RC-600 replaced my entire board. I understand the need to have a board like yours if you dont have the RC-600...so im curious why you decided to do it this way?
I am using all four effects slots on the RC 600. One is a freeze effect, the other three are delay effects. I use the HX stomp for chorus, phaser, amp block, octave, and reverb. The ve 500 is mostly for vocoder, chorus and reverb then the flow 8 is useful for Bluetooth streaming music, multiple inputs, when I play with a band, and additional monitor mixes I played a handful of gigs only with the RC 600 when I initially bought it, but it just does not have enough power to replace all of these
Wow, this is incredible. The sound you got is so good. What kind of acoustic are you playing? Also how are you getting that great of a sound through the hx stomp? I know others have asked but if you could post your acoustic preset you could help a bunch of us. I’d love if someone would do a tutorial on building a great acoustic block or rig on a line 6 or headrush.
Hey Kevin... so sorry, me again! Do you have this acoustic preset available to purchase or download anywhere? I think it will be a great starting point for me to shape my tone. Plus, I'm looking to use your version of the OC5 in there as you demonstrate as well. Happy to contribute towards the channel in some way, and I'll certainly give you a mention in a future video of mine when I eventually get around to it. I've found your content super helpful. Thanks again, Ross
I appreciate the support! I'll have to do some research on uploading it and monetizing access but it's truly not a complicated preset Sometimes I use a acoustic IR from Sigma audio, I don't believe I can include that in my preset for sale
@kevinsingssongs anything you could do to help would be greatly appreciated. I have taken a look at those Sigma Audio IR's already and am considering the Taylor pack.
@RossGallagherMusic I actually just use the same electric preset i have and exchange the amp block for an IR preset i have previous videos using the hx stomp with my rc500, i think i explained the acoustic preset in more depth there too i wish i could help more but im currently away from my gear and computer for some time taking a break
That's brilliant! I'll take a look at your other RC500 videos and see if there's anything in there that could help me out. I really appreciate all the help and support. Enjoy your break! Ross
just my opinion, the rc600 has some key features i would miss, more flexible workflow, smaller footprint, and price tag it's the best solution on the market for my needs. but the looper x seems to have more effects active at one time, better foot switches, and the loop routing options are more flexible for sending different mixes to front of house engineers
@@kevinsingssongs my first question is, can I make rigs or patches in it like what we do in boss gt1 fx modeller? I want to make 6 loops for 6 different parts of a song and store them in six tracks. Similarly I want to make 6 different guitar fx patches to play over the six different parts of the song. I want the respective guitar fx patches to activate when i kick in different loops. Is it possible to do that in rc 600?
@beenay18 lots to try to answer here but i'm not too familiar with the gt1 but yes, you can make 128 different presets with 6 loops, each for a different part of the song each 128 presets can have 4 banks of 4 input fx and the same amount of track fx. i dont use the rc600 in this manner and dont use different banks either, so i dont have a giant understanding of these options
Great setup and great job on the video. I will be receiving my biss 600 in just a couple days. Never looped, but you only live once. Live on the edge.
Using delays to get fills is a great idea! Thanks for sharing!
highly recommend trying out different delays, depending on the rhythms tend to play. The dry/wet will make the "fill" stand out more
Great board and just the video I needed to see as i upgrade my looper board from the Voicelive. Thanks man, very good job
i just posted an updated board, id highly recommend checking that one out!
Amazing video Kevin! Thanks for taking the time to do a video like this. I would love to see more like this😁
let me know anything that seems most interesting and i'll post more videos about it
Awesome video Kevin. Just set up my basic pedal board…Ventris , Nemesis, harmonizer, Trio looper and a tuner. Love your setup!
Super cool man! Thanks for this video, it sparked a lot of ideas!
Would love your stomp preset if you ever get a chance to upload it! Hope all is well man.
wow! what a great setup...the layout, including the programming of each effect, delay, tone etc...is so well thought out....literally covered pretty much anything needed...and that acoustic overdriven tone was amazing! Thanks for taking the time to do the walkthrough!
So helpful great setup
great setup! Would love to know your stomp preset... maybe a video on making the preset, or a copy of the preset?
Finally someone using the flow. Do you use its fx at all?
Please show us how you’ve set up the HX stomp to work like the Boss OC-5. Thanks!!
Second this! Or an in depth look at your stomp settings. Best acoustic tones I’ve heard.
will do friends! thank you

sure, there is a distortion effect as well as an amplifier effect that should give some nice gain/drive sounds

Hey Kevin question… so buttons 3, 4, 5, 6. & 9 are all set in multi mode and “rec/overdub? Then to stop each of those you are using the nux buttons?
hello Ramona! Always great to hear from you
Yes, you have that completely correct except for button number 9, does not have a designated stop button
I really suggest having the play and stop buttons next to each other. I'll be making a video soon describing the benefits
Would love to see how you made your own oc3 in the stomp?
where do you get the freeze effect?
I can't imagine how much time you wasted configuring all that, sound great.
Impressive 💪
thanks! not a waste at the end of the day
Love the board! How are you getting so many different pedals to work with the RC 600. I assume the 2 aux pedal jacks and midi. How do you like the Morningstar? Great Job BTW!!
The MorningStar is the brains behind the operation, it has jacks in the back that allow you to add six more foot switches
It is an amazing controller
That is wild.
"Here we go", (hits loop button) - commercial starts - gotta love youtube

yes the nux are plugged in to the rc600
the 3 buttons are plugged into the mc6 morningstar. it has space for 2 3-button switches
Kevin, where does the Freeze come from?

unfortunately no, the 16 assigns are certainly a limitation, but overall i'm able to get by
what are the asigns in the rc600 to turn on and off the fx's, and were can you find midi cc for the rc600
Can you review sheeran looper c vs rc 600

Can you control the mixer via an app with it being digital?
I would buy your helix preset aye

What's the board btw.

Is sheeran looper x worth buying. It costs a lot. Or boss rc 600 can do everything looper x can do but better?
