I'm fairly new to loopers. Going solo. Went crazy. Got the RC5 last week. Saw the RC500 has 2 loops and a mic input. Got that. Been having fun with them soo far, though thought for that kinda money what could I be missing out on hence my discovery of the RC 600 this morning. I ordered it, it'll be her Wednesday and the other two are being returned. Soo excited to explore it's capabilities !!!!!!

@@SirCrashaLot not really worth it it’s quite tricky to sync the tracks Probably RC50 is a better option but definitely none of the older ones which were 16 bit samplers whereas the 50 series and later are 33 bit and it makes a world of difference
Wish rc 600 had settings to set number of times a loop repeats and I could set the order of tracks in which the tracks plays automatically. Would't it be the next level for looping devices ?
Hi, I just wrote to Roland to confirm the output routing you describe here. But unfortunately they say that it's possible only tracks routing, not inputs. Would you please clarify? Id love if the input/output routing worked the way you explained. Thank you.
At 0:25 and 4:50 you turned on a track effect that went crazy, then you switched to what sounded like the radio effect. What was that warping crazy thing? And then you turned on an arpeggiating effect. What was that effect? Still waiting on mine to come in, but I'd like to know the names of those effects now so I can find them quicker when mine comes in.
That's an effect from one of Boss delay pedals. I think it was introduced on the DD-20. Pretty cool. I think it might even be called "warp". You'll find it when you check out any new demos of new Boss delays. ua-cam.com/video/Kfo4DgSHKoo/v-deo.html
Yes, it's the Warp effect that does that spiraling swell sound before going to the radio effect. Super fun to use. I forgot to look for that arpeggiating effect at 4:50sh
Thanks for your video! very clear and inspiring! I am currently using RC300 with Voicelive 3 extreme (TC-Helicon) for Vocals. What is your feeling about RC600 for Vocals ? (does it allows adding reverb/delay/double/harmonies ?) many thanks !!!
Everytime I watch these I see them stuck on one straight play with no bridges or chorus lines…. ever. I enjoy my simple RC 1 looper and It stands to reason that a change from verses to chorus line changes would bring all the sound to ground zero from every loop that you have administard. It would be nice. I just never see it.
Its a shame that I cannot assign different input fx banks to different tracks, so that corresponding input fx would automatically activate when I play different tracks. What is the point of looper if you cannot do that. How am i supposed to change the track and the input fx bank at the same time. I bought this looper so that i would be able to do that. But it cannot even do such a simple thing. Is programming such a basic and essential function in a looper such a hard thing? Can anyone suggest me a work around?
Hi nice vide, I use a Voicelice 3 and love vc can put a parametric Eq to the vocal and acoustic guitar, and harmonies! Can you tell about if RC600 have some similar ? Best regards
Hello. I was wondering - is it possible to assign the function of a foot witch to “solo” a track with the rc600? As in press a button and all tracks will mute except one ? Thanks.
I have a question 🙋♂️ As an example , Let’s say you have recorded guitar parts on 3 different tracks Can I turn these on and off at any time just by pressing on the main buttons at the bottom or do I have to press the track select button to move over to a specific track before I can turn it on or or off ?
Hi its a very good video :). I have a question, i am musician and i use a pedalboard with a lot of effects like Proco Rat (it's a overdrive). When i play a song i can hear my guitar with a distorsion on my speaker for my voice.... i know how to send a loop on different output, but i dont know how to send my "normal sound" only on my amp when i play without loop. Do you have a idea please ? :)
Does this thing help keep the loop on time? I've been using the hold function on my Boss delay as a looper and it's pretty hard getting certain things to be perfectly in time
Hello. I have a problem. I bought a new Boss RC 600 looper. On my computer I have songs made on my old Boss RC 50 looper. How do I make the RC 50 wav files work on the RC 600? Because so far the RC 600 looper shows the message FILE NOT SUPPORTED. And I have a lot of trouble, because there are 10 songs that are not easy. RC 600 wav file and RC 50 wav file. But in the RC 50 I mostly have MONO files, or is that a problem? And some settings need to be made .. tips. Please. I have a recital in a few days ..
The BOSS RC-300 will display "unSupportFormat" if you attempt to import an audio file that isn't in the correct format. The RC-300 accepts stereo .WAV files that are 16-bit with a sample rate of 44.1kHz. Audio that was purchased from an online music store such as Amazon or iTunes, or ripped from a CD are usually MP3 or m4a audio files and will not import into the RC-300. You can use iTunes, Windows Media Player, Audacity, or other free programs available on the internet to convert these files to .WAV. Refer to your program's documentation on how to perform this conversion. If you're sure you have a 16-bit stereo .WAV file at a 44.1kHz sample rate, and it still won't import into the RC-300, then the file may have hidden embedded metadata, or "tags," that are causing the error. This can happen with files that have been exported from DAWs ("Digital Audio Workstations"), other audio programs, or sample libraries. You can strip this extra information from the file by converting it to Apple Lossless or FLAC format. After removing the information, convert that file back to .WAV. once again.
do u know if the tap tempo is using decimal points like the rc300? i hate how my 300 lands on numbers like 108.3, instead of just a simple 108. really hoping the 600 doesn't do this!
how come nobody says how many loops (phrases) are allowed per channel/lane?? can we do 3 overdubs? i read 6 but the language isn't clear if they meant the 6 channels u have
appreciate your content. I'm struggling with this and can't find away around it unfortunately. I'm in mode 1. I want bank 1 to be receiving my drums from an external source. I want to be able to play that at a short loop say of 4 beats. I want that to be the bpm of the track so I set that first and it saves me looping drums for say 4 x 4 beats. I then want to go in to bank 2 and set a loop length say of 12 bars. now this is where it gets tricky and can't figure it out. say I've recorded guitar rhythm in bank two and now want to add other parts like harmonies or bass parts on the guitar. I want to add that to bank 3. for some reason they won't quantize together and the loop seems off. I know there's a global quantize but is there a way to set it so that when I set drums for 4 bars that banks two and three can be played longer but be quantized together? you can do this on the rc300 just by putting bank 1 in free mode and other two banks in auto mode. I bought this pedals for sound quality improvements, more inputs and outputs but it doesn't seem to do the one thing I want it to. I'll have to take it back otherwise.
I have a RC-500 and I'm wandering if the problem I have with it remains in RC-600. When all tracks are in Play Mode SINGLE and Loop Sync ON so I can play in sync with the internal rhythm all tracks must have the same number of measures. Otherwise when the a shorter track ends and next is a longer one the loop doesn't start from the begining. It's a problem for me because in general song verse/chorus/bridge don't have same size. Can you please check this?
