I doubt you will see this because it's been 9yrs since u posted this video. But thank u so much. I checked the fuse and that helped me get it to the off position. Luckily the previous owners never had the recall taken care of so I'm gonna get it fixed for free. But if u had not posted this video. I would never have thought the pull the M27 fuse and put it back. Thank you
You sir, have earned a well-deserved thumbs up! Yep, M27 did the trick. And now I'm able to release my key with ease. Thank you, thank you, thank you! My wife and I are grateful!
That's good 👍, problem with mine is that it will not go into park??? Have to disconnect my battery then turn the key toward off, it won't fully go to off, then connect the battery back on now I can take it out. Then disconnect the battery again.
Thank you very much! I have been having this problem for ages and it is very annoying. I took out that fuse and replaced it and it did just as you said. Would love a video on how you made the switch and the parts.
But does it reset your system ? I'm currently doing a battery disconnect and reconnect, which works temporarily, but it's very annoying and it resets the clock and everything
My 2008 Caravan started to do that, but now the FOB won't turn on at all. I'll check the fuse tomorrow, hopefully it's only that and I won't have to have it towed to the dealership for a new ignition cylinder.
Hey, I would like to know what you used and how you made the switch . Please help because this problem is very annoying . Thanks for the video tip and hope to get a response .
Hi, I would like to know what you used and how you made the switch. Please let me know what kind of switch and where did you buy it. I'm glad UA-cam is around.
The same problem happened to me. The battery was dead onetime in the morning and the keyfob got stuck. I took the battery to charge but the battery turned out to be bad so they replaced it with a brand new one. When I put it in the van, it turned on normally again and when I turned it off it released the key fob. For me, the problem turned out to be the battery.
Replacing the battery terminals and then putting them back on will fix the problem temporarily. Take it to the dealership and get the recall fix. I hope this helps :-)
Had the same problem in my 08 town n country took it to the dealership the have a recall on 2008-2010 grand caravan and the town and country and also on the 2010 Dodge Journey you can get it fixed for free at any keep Chrysler dodge dealership they recalled the ignition switch
My key was doing this from time to time... NOW it won't turn ON when I go to start it. It's in a locked position! Wondering if this the M27 fuse works with the opposite problem. Will try. If anyone else has had this issue I'd love to hear about it :(
