Replacing the WIN module on a Chrysler Town and Country
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 жов 2024
- In this video, our techs demonstrate our alternative method to removing and replacing the WIN module on a Chrysler Town and Country. Usually the entire dash is removed, but we provide an easier alternative.
*Make sure to reconnect the C1 and remote start connectors on the replacement WIN module upon installation
**For this vehicle we drilled holes to release the WIN module, but it is not required.
If you are experiencing symptoms of a bad WIN module on your vehicle, such as having issues with starting your vehicle, your Fobik key getting stuck in ignition, or your vehicle turning off from bumps while driving, give us a call and we can confirm if it is your WIN module giving you these issues at 956-508-3450, or text us at 210-920-5819
You can also purchase our WIN module kits (no programming required, just plug and play) from our website here:

I appreciate the video man thanks. Either I missed it or it wasn't there about how to get the three screws out but that's the joy of doing this type work lol
Came here to see how to remove the kick panel. Thank you! Very straight forward!
This video is helpful, but these guys already had the module on done. The three bolts are a pain in the ass to get to and you also can see where they drilled holes in the plastic behind the trim piece where the ignition sits to access some of the screws Which will never be seen but they skip over getting those three screws out
Just installed mine in 2012 town and country, not bad to install ,the hardest part is the three screw on the bracket holding the win module,I used my 90 degree driver for the bottom two and drilled a small hole like in video to get at top one,top one is the hardest part .the rest is very easy.nice to put it in and start it rite up,this is a great service that you provide, thank you very much for your product and video
I did not see small hole for top one. Maybe I mist something?
how do you get the new module programmed with the key fob?
@@JP-rr5zg That's what I'm wondering!
@@debbiehoyos5291 I got the option of win module and two keys and they came already paired and programmed to the new win module,it was so nice ,no worries just plug it in and go . Mine has been in for over a year now and no problems at all.fantastic compared to what a dealer wants by far.
please tell me I have a 2012 Chrysler town country. If I bought a used WIN module from Dodge Grand carav 2012, it can be installed and don't need to program? thank you in advance.
did you get yours going becuse that is what i did and mine would not start so i took to dealership and they claim this does not work or can be program with a used one and a new one is $1500 and it may not work
$1000 to order this from your website?! I appreciate the video and no disrespect at all but it’s the same price at my dealership to purchase and have them install it
Are we comparing apple to apples? Did you get 2 new fobik remotes and 2 insert keys?
How about the warranty, we offers 3 years unlimited miles. The OEM warranty is 2 years or 24,000 miles whichever comes first.
Do we have to program a new win module after replacement or only the key will need it?
FYI The top screw on the module bracket is a straight shot through the ignition switch hole once you pry up the dash. Going back together I started looking and found it so you just need to tape the screw to your socket and use a long extension. And a good pry bar works to lift up the dash if your working alone. The other two screws are doable with a universal socket when the dash is pried up and go in through the key hole.
wow what a pain in the ass that is
Good instructuion video.
Very helpful video. My WIN module is bad. If I buy a replacement, will my existing keys automatically work with it, or does the WIN module have to be specially programmed. Are new keys required, or can the old keys still be used?
It comes with 2 new Fobik remotes as the old ones cannot be programmed to New WIN
@@AutoTechElectronic , does your company sell and ship these? Can you give me a quote for a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country?

@@AutoTechElectronic , I'm on your website and ready to order one. However, a few years ago, I bought and installed an after-market auto start (not factory). Your website offers one for autostart and one for no-autostart. Do I need to order the one for autostart to work with my after market device? I tried calling the number on your website but it went straight to voicemail.
@@cjinge983their expensive 😞

Great video, I'm about to convert mine to the chrysler uconnect bluetooth, what is the trick to removing the front left corner D piller cover, I need to remove it to run a donar factory harness from the u connect module bow to the auto dim mirrow?
My Car has this problem it needs a new (module) it looks fairly easy. If i take this to a mechanic shop could this be expensive?
I having problems seeing the three screws. I removed the four screws but I can't see the other 3.
I did not understood, how you unscrewed top screw. This is my problem. Can you explain me that?
If I wanted to install a new module that included remote start which currently doesnt have. Would I need to install anything extra? 2015 Chrystler T&C Touring L- Thanks for the video
How did you know the win module was bad?
im assuming that you still have to program the win if its new,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,due to the immobilizer....nice video,,,you should mention you did all this to be able to fold up the dash to be able to get to the win,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
My key is stuck in the win module. How do I get it out?
hi do you have video how to indtall push button start and off on dodge ??
Why
I have a 2014 T&C. The battery, alternator & starter are good, but it won't start. Could this be what the issue is? Changing the ignition switch? Thank you
What are the symptoms
@@AutoTechElectronic I have had no issues until this past Thursday. Drove it twice (that morning & afternoon) went to leave again and it would not crank. All the lights, windows, radio, air, automatic doors, all still worked. I thought it was my battery. Checked the connections, all good, had it tested with a battery checker 12 volts regular 13 1/2 volts with charger on. Went at bought a new starter, put it in, that didn't help, Checked the original starter while it was out, it actually still worked. They both worked just not in my van. The starter relay was checked electronically and it works.
@@adavidson5247 did you try this test ua-cam.com/video/gt61fP72QJc/v-deo.html
@@AutoTechElectronic We did the bypass but the starter didn't engage just clicked, we didn't switch the relay just tested it.
@@adavidson5247 if the starter just clicked when installed in vehicle then check for faulty ground or power wire
@4:29 is where I am at in my van the problem is......how do I get access to those screws? I do not have enough play to get to them. Any advise?
Make sure to remove both the radio and the center console unit so that you can have enough flexibility to remove the screws. You might need a second set of hands to help hold the plastic trim out of the way.
I have a drill with a flexible screwdriver that can maneuver between the gap
I don't understand why you remove the center console radio etc. 🤔
What you do to program, no need program the module?
This is to gain access to the old WIN wireless ignition Node remove it and replace it with our New replacement kit that comes with 2 Fobik remotes already programmed to the vehicle vin.
@@AutoTechElectronic thank you 👍
@@AutoTechElectronic I never saw u go through the center console area

That’s a lot of work lol
Great video thank you for sharing I’ve seen a few ignition switch on eBay but they don’t come with key can I still use old key or do I have to purchase module that comes with a key ??
You need to use a virgin WIN with New Fobik remotes.
Did you drill a hole in the plastic to get to the top win module bracket screw?
It looks like there are holes drilled top and bottom.
@@yepitsme6202 yes, to insert the socket
@@AutoTechElectronic @ 4:35? Are there 4 holes or 2?
