Ha ha...I was a young girl in the late 60s. Frosted white lipstick from Yardley was the thing! Palest pinks, but frosted. Yardleys packaging was gorgeous and the product smelled heavenly! Blue eyeshadow- colored mascara...all, all of these scream 60s. That winged black eyeliner? Yes, from the 60s. Look at Barbra Striesand/Funny Girl Nothing is new, I've seen hair, makeup, hair, clothes all come around & around again.

I’m 37 and I got this lipstick from my mom. She was like THE studio 54 dancing queen. She graduated in 77 and was a model, just gorgeous. I put this on and looked ridiculous, she put it on and looked INCREDIBLE with her Aqua Net Farrah Fawcett hair. I miss her so much.
My favorite back in 2000 to 2001 was Avon Deluxe Chocolate. I had a tube in my purse, my car, my work drawers everywhere. When my best friend and I went to the club one of us always carried 1 in our bra and shared it. 😂

I refuse to admit the 90s was that long ago. But I was a pre teen/teen in the 90s and I remember this look so well. 😂 everything was frosty from the gloss, eye shadow, lipstick, etc. I miss those days.

But I can definitely say that it wasn’t common for people to run around with black lined lips and white lipstick

Back in late 80's my Mom would only let me wear a light pink frosty lip stick from Lancome. And they used to have coupons in magazines, one free lipstick with purchase. So if she bought some skin care or something my big treat was getting that frosty pink lipstick. 💗

Rimmel used to make some fantastic frosty lipstick and nail polishes. Circa 1980's. My favourite nail polish ever was their Ruby Red. A deep ruby frosted polish. No glitter just frosted. Topped off with a Mavala top coat and it looked like 2 pack paint...the depth was glorious 😌

I got a secret Santa gift in '99 that included a lip gloss. Realistically, I'm pretty sure it was just Vaseline, but it had a frosty, sparkly sliver layer on the top. To this day, it's my favorite "makeup" product I've ever had. Nothing's ever come close!

Yes! I remember in high school a black eyeliner and a frosty balm was all you needed for a full face. You could fill your brows with a light touch, line your eyes, smudge some on your finger and touch up your cheeks and of course, the lip liner. It really was all you needed!
I remember i was SO excited when i was able to buy my first mac lipstick i had a liner already and my AP teacher who went full glam everyday (and also drove a vintage neon green Cadillac to school) asked me why i was so happy that particular day, so i explained and she literally gave me the stank eye and said oh so you care about brand names like that? 🤣I was so crushed cause she was my idol, it wasnt the name it rather the whole mac experience and overall the exploration with high quality products. It was worth working jobs as a kid to afford the little things. Im sure she was teasing me but encouraging me not to get too carried away 😅
My favorite frosted lipstick which still exists today is the Rimmels Coffee Shimmer. I use to wear it back in high school and still wear it whenever I’m going out
I think Revlon still makes a nice, frosty / shimmery lipstick in their range. There’s a very pale, nude pink that has lots of shimmer that reminds me of Paris Hilton.
I grew up in the 60s and 70s. It used to be everywhere in the stores. White frosted. My mother wore it, along with every other woman then. It’s fun to see it again.
Revlon was the queen of frosts. I still get and use the nail polishes for summer. Over bare or a nude they look like seashells. And I know they still have some frost lipsticks out there too
Auuuugggghhh, I LOVED frosty lipsticks back in the 90s! Besides the extremely dark lipsticks, the frosts were my other go-to. I miss those looks from back then, I felt so edgy in my grunge wear and makeup, 😂💜 I would love to get a few well done frosties back in my rotation 😊
I loved the look too back then and always wished I could pull it off! Unfortunately, with my complexion, if I wear any light lipstick in general it looks like I slathered White-Out (who else remembers that blessing of a product 👀) on my lips 😭
I think it was called “Sea Lily” or something similar… I still have it somewhere, and it remains one of the few lipsticks I’ve actually owned that had any significant usage…

Oh man, the frosty silver lips, that takes me back 😂 If anyone wants to try something similar Wet n Wild has some frosty lipsticks right now, their “silk finish” formula. They have a shade called “a short affair” which is a very pale frosty pink and would probably give a similar look to this. There are frosty shades/formulas out there, some brands do still make them, but if you’re just wanting to try them out Wet n Wild are only 2-3$ 🤷🏻♀️
That was the only frosty lipstick I had was a wet & wild one bc I didn't wear it often. And I think it's one of the Momentos I kept in a jewelry box somewhere lol. The case was cracked I remember that.
14 or 15 around 1999 I had a wet and wild lipstick that was MILDLY lavender and mostly iridescent. I thought I was the HEIGHT of unique and fabulous… it’s true we don’t see those colors anymore 😢

When I was a child, the labello in the frosty pink shade was everything. Probably my first lipstick, even though it's a lipbalm. We applied so many layers, it was extremly frosty 😅

That was my FAVE in the 90s! I would also use Espresso liner with "nude" lipstick but I would blend the edge of the liner into the lipstick. It was perfection!❤

Love frosty make up. In the late 70's I had a palette of creams and frosts. Creams were for demure day wear and frosts were for dramatic night life. I wore the frosts in the daytime cuz I was rebel with a lot of drama 😊

seeing that just unlocked a core memory I had as a kid in the 90s. frosted lipsticks and lipglosses were everywhere. I know we're in a 90s/00s revival rn so I hope someone brings them back
I got a secret Santa gift in '99 that included a lip gloss. Realistically, I'm pretty sure it was just Vaseline, but it had a frosty, sparkly sliver layer on the top.
To this day, it's my favorite "makeup" product I've ever had. Nothing's ever come close!

Yes! I remember in high school a black eyeliner and a frosty balm was all you needed for a full face. You could fill your brows with a light touch, line your eyes, smudge some on your finger and touch up your cheeks and of course, the lip liner. It really was all you needed!

I remember i was SO excited when i was able to buy my first mac lipstick i had a liner already and my AP teacher who went full glam everyday (and also drove a vintage neon green Cadillac to school) asked me why i was so happy that particular day, so i explained and she literally gave me the stank eye and said oh so you care about brand names like that? 🤣I was so crushed cause she was my idol, it wasnt the name it rather the whole mac experience and overall the exploration with high quality products. It was worth working jobs as a kid to afford the little things. Im sure she was teasing me but encouraging me not to get too carried away 😅

My favorite frosted lipstick which still exists today is the Rimmels Coffee Shimmer. I use to wear it back in high school and still wear it whenever I’m going out

I think Revlon still makes a nice, frosty / shimmery lipstick in their range. There’s a very pale, nude pink that has lots of shimmer that reminds me of Paris Hilton.

Frosty lips and nails remind me of my Grandma and all her ladies, in the 80’s. Pink. All hues. Some purple shades, but mostly pink.

I grew up in the 60s and 70s. It used to be everywhere in the stores. White frosted. My mother wore it, along with every other woman then. It’s fun to see it again.
Wet and Wild makes some great frosty lipsticks!! I still do 90s makeup all the time and that's what I use

Revlon was the queen of frosts. I still get and use the nail polishes for summer. Over bare or a nude they look like seashells. And I know they still have some frost lipsticks out there too

I remember in the 80's L'Oreal had a super light frosty opalescent whitish-pink color. I was CRAZY for it!
I loved that shade! I can't remember what it was called now but I can remember what it smelled like, and the color was so good.
I think it was called “Sea Lily” or something similar… I still have it somewhere, and it remains one of the few lipsticks I’ve actually owned that had any significant usage…

Holy bleep! Yes! Omg, I also can still remember the smell! Sealily! It came in the long thin tube as well as the regular lipstick size. I used to run to Walgreens when it was 3/4 of the way gone. Like a drug, i could NOT be without it. Oh, the high school memories. I didn't think anyone would even know. Thank u!

Wet n Wild has some frosty lipsticks right now, their “silk finish” formula.
They have a shade called “a short affair” which is a very pale frosty pink and would probably give a similar look to this.
There are frosty shades/formulas out there, some brands do still make them, but if you’re just wanting to try them out Wet n Wild are only 2-3$ 🤷🏻♀️
My first lipstick was Wet n Wild 501A "Trippin" It was a frosted purple and so pretty I went through enough tubes to still remeber the name.
My first lipstick was also a Wet & Wild purple, but 501c! They stopped making it for a long time, but at some point, have brought it back!

14 or 15 around 1999 I had a wet and wild lipstick that was MILDLY lavender and mostly iridescent. I thought I was the HEIGHT of unique and fabulous… it’s true we don’t see those colors anymore 😢

When I was a child, the labello in the frosty pink shade was everything. Probably my first lipstick, even though it's a lipbalm. We applied so many layers, it was extremly frosty 😅

That was my FAVE in the 90s! I would also use Espresso liner with "nude" lipstick but I would blend the edge of the liner into the lipstick. It was perfection!❤

Love frosty make up. In the late 70's I had a palette of creams and frosts. Creams were for demure day wear and frosts were for dramatic night life. I wore the frosts in the daytime cuz I was rebel with a lot of drama 😊

MAC still makes frosty lipsticks. Angel is a light pink frost and Gel is a goldenish frost that looks great mixed on top of stuff!
