Let me guess. Fold until a cooler happens. If you win the hand, call it skill and endlessly compliment yourself.. If you lose the hand, call it bad luck and endlessly berate your opponent. Close?

Phil, they are NOT dollars, they are chips....

they used to be referred to in dollar ammounts a long time ago even in tournaments

@@omgbaxtergames you mean 'mistakenly referred to' don't you? Don't you get it? It sounds more IMPORTANT if he says dollars...

@@CowSaysMooMoo no they literally had cash value. Check your history. During the 70s and 80s.
Introduced for the original WSOP cash event, these were continued to be used at the Main Event tournaments from 1971 - 1978. These chips were actually “Cash Value” and players were given $10,000 in live casino chips to play with in the freezeout tournaments.

@@omgbaxtergames Phil NEVER played a casino tournament where that was the case He didn't turn 21 until '85. He is just using the term 'dollars' to add to the 'drama' and get more people interested. Even ESPN the Moneymaker year (2003) had Norm and Lon refer to the chipcounts in 'Dollars' to excite ignorant fans until so many people complained that by the 2004 ME they just said 'chips.'
