WHY IS THE LAMBS YELLOW?
WHEN DO I ASSIST A EWE IN LABOUR?
HOW MUCH COFFEE DO I DRINK? (lol)
Today, I answer your most asked questions regarding lambing time...
Can you believe the oldest lambs in this group are already 6 weeks old??
An update on them, on Betty (the blind ewe), and what's next.
A little bonus if you make it to the end of this video!!

I love the business side, the farming, and the lambing! It doesn’t get old even after a year of watching you.
Good to know!!! thanks Peggy!
Sandi Brock how are Betty popcorn ruby goat and billy
@@shepherdewan I'm not Sandi but Betty seems to be getting better, Ruby and goat are fine, I think popcorn just got bred so she's also fine
Agreed! I love everything, especially learning your reasoning behind decisions!
jf93345 I have sheep too
Don't ever apologize for good strong hands that show the "beauty" of hard work!! You rock!
I agree. I have hands that have nicks, scars, callouses, because I work outside on the cattle ranch, and in my garden and with my goats and chickens. My mom had working hands, as well as my dad. Loved both of them so very much and what their story their hands told. Hard working, to provide for our family.
Sandi has hands that tell a beautiful story.
I have 'working' hand, too. I grew up on a ranch and work with my hands my whole life. I noticed my hands are starting to look like my grandmothers the older I get.
@@wendenahammond4390 you say that like it's a *bad thing!* 💞🤷♀️👏👏😉
Exactly you are a hard working woman !!
@@wendenahammond4390
Tribute to your grandma !
That's a blessing to be associated with a hard working woman.
God bless
Stay happy, healthy and safe
You hands are beautiful. They are the hands of a Lady that took so much on her own. The hands of a Mom, Farmer, Wife and an awesome person doing her best..
thank you so much Todd!
Oh, I so agree with your remark Todd. Pretty hands are lovely, but even more beautiful are those hard working, kind hands that we see giving a loving touch and saving little lambs and Ewes on a
Daily basis.
@@janmarch5039, there is no doubt that we all have our shortcomings in life, no one person is perfect. That being said, I dont think Sandi realizes how much of a beautiful woman she is. I'm pretty sure she doesn't beat her kids, sheep or husband. I know for a fact she does everything she can to help that farm run like it does. She takes the time to show us her life, good, bad, ugly and beating. Those hands of hers are absolutely beautiful. I wish I would have had a Mother or sister like her in my life. God has blessed us with her.and I dont mean that in some weird way..just saying.
That made me cry. Well said.
@@toddsheffield4271 nothing weird about it...I was nodding in agreement through your whole comment!
My grand daughter asks why I watch a video about sheep, i live in the city and don't have live stock. So I showed her the lambs, and she wants 4 of them. LOL
Me too. I live in an apartment but I want 🐑 and 🐐!
I am a teenager who has never and probably will never work on a farm but I enjoy all the content you make. The animal side and the business side is interesting to me.
I am a 67 year old woman that says the same thing!!
I couldnt agree more 🤪
I’m a soon to be 54 yr old and I’m right with ya😊!
I really just watch for the animals, but I'm also completely taken in by you. You are so sweet and honest and refreshing! I'm a writer in South Carolina. I know nothing about sheep at all, so I like to hear in lay-person terms what's going on. You and your sheep are just a blessing to me. I've been watching just about a year now!
Your hands show a woman who runs her own business, takes care of her animals 24/7 while helping on the rest of the farm. Your hands run a home, be a mom and set up vlogs for us curious creatures. Your hands are a badge of honour, show them with pride.
Why do people give her so much hate. She is so polite
Awe thanks Nolan... many more good people than haters!
Sandi Brock is Betty on this video
I dont understand that myself sandi you are awesome and do what you feel is necessary for all them babies! They all look great and we know you love them all!!
I love Sandy she is a wonderful person!
I don't think it's hate as much as differences of opinions on how to raise and treat the animals. There are far left and far right people and everywhere in between. Some just don't know how to express those differences in a nice manner or it just hits Sandie at the wrong time or the commenters. Remember you can't express tone or intention in comments.
I love how you have so much variety in your content! Lambing, crops, tutorials, business, projects, ups and downs... I like it all! I'm a Farmer in my dreams so I'm basically living vicariously through you and your content 😉 🧑🌾
I was raised on a farm, had horses. Love seeing you do all your videos. My French Bulldog & I watch every video together. It's the only video he doesn't bark at. He hears your voice and runs in to watch.
You are an amazing woman! All that you go through and it’s overwhelming how much you care for your flock. Sometimes life gets hard but you have the strength of ten women and overcome the problems
Loved the lamb montage at the end! It was so cute to see them grow up and see the updates!💖
"I'm not a sheep." Oh, Sandi. Thanks for clarifying that! 😂
I love the sound of the rain on your barn. Especially with the sounds of the sheep. You are such a wonderful person. Hugs.
I love learning about CIDRS, chutes, tail docking, feed carts, Gallagher...all that fascinates me, even though I'm just along for the pleasure of the ride.
I love when you share your experience with other in the same industry as you, and I get to learn at the same time!
The Sheepeedes are just pure bonus.
Thank you for filming for our entertainment. You are one of the best, Sandi. Have a great day
Please make videos of all of it. I love watching your content, i love all the things i’m learning. But most of all i Love watching a kick ass woman working harder than some men do. You are my hero, what you do is intense, gruesome, the hours are brutal as is the cold weather. Most of the time you’ve been alone. I’m glad you hired Carissa. You didn’t have any idea what you were in for when you started. This has been an amazing journey, watching you succeed, and then get your feet knocked out from under you, only to have another success 10 minutes later. And you keep on going, which to me is the beautiful part of your journey. Look at what you’ve accomplished so far. You are so impressively hard core. Anything is possible for you. Thanks for taking us on your journey!! One minute i’m biting my nails and a minute later the ewe is loving her lamb. And don’t let the naysayers get in you head!!!! Ever!!!!
They are just bitter because they have no courage, no courage to try living their lives at all! Please keep the content coming, you totally Rock!! Thanks you! B
You are awesome don’t let anyone get you down!
Thanks Brandon!
Sandi Brock when things get back to normal would you be interested in sell a couple ewe lambs. We have a couple. But would love to grow our flock. P.s my 3 year old daughter loves your channel!
Thanks for educating us on all the different aspects of sheep farming. I have enjoyed learning about the genetics, husbandry, and financial pieces. Your honesty in sharing even the emotional toll is so important. Those of us who come here know you will do everything in your power to make your flock healthy and happy. You're awesome, Sandi!!!
I love how she doesn't sugar coat anything for us!! She's very honest and real with us all the time!!❤🇨🇦❤🇨🇦❤
I love the B roll. I'm not big into the biz stuff or some of the repeat answers. But I Totally get you have new viewers all the time. I'm still pretty new too. When you love something that do and show us that, I LOVE it! I showed up at the beginning of this last lambing and I'm hooked. Everytime I have you on my hubby starts Baabaabaaa'g. Lol!! Keep doing what you are doing. Ignore the haters and block them. They don't pay rent for space in your head, don't let them in. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
anything you say in your video is of value. I love watching !
Anything you put out here is interesting for me. I know nothing of sheep farming and am fascinated by it all, of course the critter videos are good too! Thank you!
I think I found you when you were lambing and I stuck around for the lambs. You then started to share all the work that you do which I found interesting. I think how you do it is great Sandi. We get a lot of the animals lambing time and then you fill us in with all the work. Us city people need to know how hard our farmers are working and what they do to feed us. Seeing the whole system and how it works and your ups and downs and learning is so refreshing. Please keep it us and how you do it I think is great. By sharing you have started to look deeper into this, and is why I have looked into Mark's channel. I love the seeing of how each system supports and works together to become a good product at the end. Blessings upon you and your family.
only suggestion is if you want once a month do the no talking work around your animals compilation, that should give enough animals that those who just want to see them can put those on over and over again. Your animals bring enough of themselves into the shot with their antics that I think you do not need to do more. You are great already. Blessings.
Sandi, I have learned so much about the sheep business and the care of the animals. You are one of the most genuine people on the planet ❤️.
The care you provide for your animals is amazing.
One would think with hundreds of sheep you could perhaps not be as passionate about them. But that is not the case. I know because I lived it on our farm raising hogs. 🐷
Wishing you all the best. 🐑🐑
When you said about the staining, just to clarify that, the 'she' in "she pooped in her water bag", it is the lamb that did the pooping in the water bag, not the ewe.
Good morning Sandi, we have two vets in the area that we call when we are up the creek minus a paddles. Vet one, will be there in 15 -20minutes he is good but bill is always higher than normal. Vet two, we grew up with, her dad was my grand dad's vet, her grandpa was a vet also. So we most often call her. She is there but will talk us thru problems on her way to the farm. She grew up on a farm, with sheep, horses, cows and pigs. She has seen it all. She is more willing to take the extra investigation time to what is wrong, what needs to be done to treat the sick animal. We love her and she brings grandpa with her during the day. He is in his nineties and is spry, with great knowledge.
I've never been around sheep except my niece's 4H projects, And my lunch hour really looks forward to seeing you everyday, where have you been lol!! I watch any content you put out. You're a very awesome teacher and vlogger. The only thing I ever want to tell you most times is have more confidence! You are doing wonderful!
Came her for the lambs, keep coming back for your smile , and friendly face and all the info on how your sheep farming works.. Look after yourself Sandi after all that hoof trimming your body might need a visit to the physio/ Cairo I know mine would after the first 2 sheep! Keep smiling, love your work and thanks for posting when you must be exhausted xxx😊😊😊
I like it all! The cute sheep, the precious lambs. But it is always a good thing to gain more knowledge about anything. Thanks for your time Sandi!
Them birds drive me crazy, love all your videos you work so hard. Bless you
Same! so much!! They are so loud right now!
She's a great lady. Hard worker and a Mom and wife. Enjoy watching her videos.
I am not by any means involved in the business side or the farming and I really enjoy the cute little babies and seeing them but what I really love is learning new things and being able to understand more of the technical aspects of what you do
And by the way, you are very helpful. We are planning to get either goats and sheep. You have helped us with so much information. TRULY THANK YOU😊😊
My pleasure!
You have beautiful sheep there! The babies are gorgeous, and you are always working so hard. Please don't be too hard on yourself! There will always be some people that think they know more than you do. Wisconsin
No worries! I just watch for pure enjoyment and interest. Sometimes I 'change the channel' when you get just verbal for others. I think it is GREAT that you share so much info! Keep it up for those who want it! I love your channel!
Not a sheep farmer I live in London, but I love watching Sandy such a great smile and so much interesting information, I love learning new stuff
Answering questions while showing video of the lambs would be great. I don't have any livestock, but I like the education and videos.
Your channel is awesome just the way it is. You don’t need to try to please everyone. We can pick and choose what videos we are interested in. I personally love all of it, being an ex farmer I love the technical stuff as well as the cute stuff. Keep up the good work!
Hi Sandi thank you for making us happy everyday i love how you put so much effort in what you love, remember that we are always here to support you
Sending love from the Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
thanks so much Melissa!!
I think everyone has their own reasons for watching you, keep doing what you do, the way you do it, you have thousands of subscribers watching you so clearly we're pleased with the content! For me personally I watch for research purposes, I don't have sheep and don't plan to, but I am a writer and am currently contemplating a character who is a sheep farmer, I've been watching your channel for almost a year, just gathering information lol
That's cool. Come back and post if you go in that direction and publish.
I like to see anything you post for me any sandi video is an amazing video
Cute! No interruptions! I’m a Midwife. Love watching the lambing!
My favorites: when the lambs are born & when the lambs run the length of the pens. It so cute to see them jumping and changing direction, standing on mommas.
I do too! I call it either
Lambalanche: lamb+avalanche
Lambpede: lamb + stampede
I'm 21 and not a sheep owner or farmer, and I love learning how all of the behind the scenes stuff works. 💗
I'm not a sheep farmer by any means. But I love all your videos, it's always interesting to see the business, procedures and tasks that go into sheep farming. Or any farming really.
Sandi you are tremendous. Be proud of your hands. You've earned every bruise and scratch. They are your medals of all the hard work.
I am an animal person. I do watch you just out of interest. I have goats so some of what you say helps me with my goats. I love all of what you say and do. I just love to learn.
It must make you feel so full of love at the end of the day when you turn around and see all you have done and received from your hard work. You are a trooper!!!
I just love all of your videos. There will always be some people that will be left out in terms of interests, but you can always have a different focus for every Q&A.
hey Sandi, its me again...i just love seeing the little newborns and its truely AMAZING to me how quickly they grow up in just a few short weeks!! i am not and never will be a shepard but really enjoy learning everything you tell and show us.
I love learning and watching the sheep. I, also, like seeing your family and farming the fields.
Another wonderful video Sandi! The closest I’ll get to owning sheep is when I buy a bag of sheep manure for my garden. That being said, I do love learning about the business side of raising sheep and generally about all of the hard work that goes into it. For me it’s fascinating. Keep up the good work, and good luck with the hoof trimming. ❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍🐑🐑🐑
Yes, please, more business side of business. Costs and fees are important when making a business plan. What are some of the unforeseen/unplanned issues that have come up?
thanks Lesley! I'll work on more of these!!
I totally agree! I am sure you couldn't/didn't budget for having your roof blow off your barn, in the middle of winter, with lambs on their way.
I'll be excited to hear your answers. I find the business aspect fascinating. Yes, the lambs are the highlight but the reality of business is just as important.
Sandi, you are the star of the show I like to watch you work . We raise cattle your farm is very different from what we do. I also like seeing your family.
I come to your channel for the whole package!
I am not a farmer, but I grew up in farming community, and have a deep respect for you and your work.
I do not currently have sheep, but I want to learn and work towards a small personal wool-focus flock. You have been absolutely invaluable in each and every aspect of my gathering education because you reaffirm the value of education in all its forms asking questions, seeking help, and communicating. I watch your videos because you love what you do, even after all these years with all the trials, and because you're not afraid or ashamed to be real and honest about the things you've learned (and the mistakes that may have lead you there).
The cute lamb moments are a joy, and while we only share Internet space, I think you're awesome company, however,
it's the Real Deal of learning with you that I enjoy the most from your videos. Without you, the thought of doing research to become shepherd to my ow flock would scare me witless. As is, of course it's a big step, but it's one I know can be taken.
Thanks for each and every video, smile, tear, lampede, and nugget of wisdom over a cup of coffee, Sandi.
I love the way that some of the ewes look at you Sandi like 'yeah! what d'yoo want?'. Does make me chuckle ❤
Not that it helps you develop content ideas - but I think it's more about enjoying you and your sheep - I live in the city but enjoy your videos. It's really about how natural and interesting you are and how darn beautiful your sheep are.
Wow! thanks Sylvia!!
Sylvia Sweeney yes the sheep are good girls cute sheep
Hi Sandi! Im getting sheep tomorrow and im so excited!!
So exciting!!!
Sandi Brock I love ❤️ sheep as much as you do
I am on UA-cam would you like to watch my videos Ewan shearing Samantha and clever suki and Rachel have had all their wool cut
Hi again SANDI
As you say valuable I believe just by you having your channel sharing what you do but mostly you being you is beyond valuable!! You're a very special person Sandi...
Your pictures of ewes with their lambs are so sweet tender and priceless. Many framables in the bunch for sure.
So amazing how fast the lambs grow. One week even makes a difference in their appearance. Everyone looks really good and you're in a very good caught up place at the moment. Be proud of yourself Sandi for doing such a nice job with this last group. Thanks as always for all you do to share so much of your life and livelihood...
I live in New Zealand so we do lambing totally different so I love seeing new stuff.
I adore the way you care so deeply for all your sheep and lambs. It makes me smile
Hi Sandi! I’ve been watching for quite awhile now and I have/had absolutely no knowledge of farming and live in coastal Southern California. I love ALL aspects of your videos - from just seeing the cute little lambs, to learning about the animal care and facts, to the business aspect of farming. It’s opened my eyes tremendously to the importance of farming and how different / yet the same we all are. I’ve never eaten lamb (and don’t know if I ever would, not because I’m a vegetarian but because I’m not sure that I would like it - tried rabbit “by accident” once and 🤢 yuck!) BUT I know that all aspects of farming “make the world go round”. 💜💙☮️💞
I am not a sheep farmer. I love all animals, & I just stumbled on your blogs & have to have my daily ration. Keep up the good job, and you need to take a rest once in a while.😘
I am doing a level 3 animal management course at college and we learn about livestock. I use your videos to help with my breading topic for sheep i am doing currently and find your videos very useful!
Love the videos. Great find during the quarantine, when I have ALOT of time on my hands. How do the birds get in? I go crazy when sparrows try to get into my barn. Also I cant open my barn doors for chores anymore without thinking of you now! Have a great day 🙂
I am here for many reasons. First, it's YOU Sandy. You are so sweet and kind and you wear your heart on your sleeve. Your transparency is refreshing. Next are the animals and your animal husbandry. I love learning about new things. Your channel has so many different parts that I really never get bored! I am a life-long learner. I m an RN from California who is now in a wheelchair and no longer working. I keep my mind alert and stimulated by learning! Your channel has it all: medical content, animal content, business content, and family content. One-stop shopping for me! The ups and downs of life are inevitable. You face challenges head-on and I love to see your tenacity! Very similar traits to nursing!
I agree, Betty’s eyes are looking much better. Even if she has diminished vision she will be safe in the indoor flock. She certainly was not head shy as you were waving your hand. Reading the comments it looks like most viewers are quite happy with your content. YOU are doing a terrific job and I will watch and like whatever you throw at us. Old retired lady who lived the good life on a farm for years. Now in a senior community so watching videos of farming and ranching keeps me entertained and grateful. Thank you for your time and efforts they are so appreciated.
I love watching your videos whether for the business or pleasure. I'm not a farmer what so ever, but after watching your videos for the past 2 years, it's made me really want to visit some farms in my area, whether to help out, or to play with animals.
love the pic of the lamb running back and forth.
Ah Sandi...a great post...and...a whole lot of lambs!!...thank you for all your time you take for us...
love from Scotland
I appreciate learning all aspects of sheep farming. I don't currently have sheep, but hope to in the future. And, though I don't plan on grain farming, I've gotten into everything Mark's sharing on his channel. Thank you both!
As an artist, I love seeing wrinkles, scars and blemishes. They are beautiful in their own ways. Each mark tells a story and has a history behind them. It tells so much and it proof of the life that you live. I believe your hands are beautiful sandy. Many years of hard work and they have helped life come into the world and care for others. I hope that they heal well! Awesome job with getting the hooves.
i want to see it all. Not in the business but I want to learn about it , hear about it so that I can appreciate all you hard workers - cow, sheep, crop farmers who provide for us. It makes it more REAL
Omgoodness that little one with the brown patches on it's knees and eyes looks soooo much like a baby 🐐 goat. It is precious !!
Stay happy, healthy and safe. God bless
I love both the technical and the shots of just the animals. I think you have just the right amount of variation.
I love both the information/tutorial type videos as well as seeing the animal type videos! ALL ARE FABULOUS!!!
I have been watching your channel for months and it never gets old. I am picking up my first flock of sheep tomorrow and I feel like I learn a lot from you. Thanks!
I personally enjoy everything you do. Sheep farming is so foreign to me, so I find the tutorials and day to day routine interesting. Of course, I also love watching the lambs. It’s all good!
Hi Sandi, I love watching your channel. While I don't raise sheep anymore, we do farm and I appreciate your insights to live and raising livestock. My husband watches your hubby's channel and we both see the similarity's between our relationships!!! Thank you for keeping it real and honest!
Any updates on moving the boys to the other barn and letting them outside?
Love you Sandi...your videos are honest and informative.
I like both! Lambs are always adorable and the information is very interesting. Plus it's wonderful to listen to someone talk about something their passionate ❤️
I love everything about your videos. Business, animals. Literally everything. I get to learn new things by watching your videos. 🙂
I don’t know how I landed on one of your video a year ago, but I was immediately fascinated with what you were doing... I’m not a farmer, I don’t have any live stock either, but I love watching the ewes and the babies... Sandi, you are such a beautiful soul and please don’t allow people’s negativity get to you, you are much much better than they are some people are miserable and the only company they love is misery... Thank you for your videos, I look forward to them everyday now... Sending you love and blessings from Pennsylvania USA 🇺🇸... PS, I love Billy too 🥰🥰🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I love watching all different aspects of your farm life. Business, animals, all the farming with Mark, the kids, everything! I really like learning the business side because I'm a nerd at heart and love numbers and organization but also can't get enough of those animals of yours. Thank you for showing us your life and allowing us to learn from you😁
Having a rough day with kids and cabin fever. This one really helped!!! Glad to see you smiling and the check up on all the babies 💖💖💖🙌😍
I have no intentions of every raising sheep and I still watch your videos. I find the majority of your content interesting and enjoyable! Keep up what you are doing and ignore the hate! You have a great channel!
Hey, I'd like to see more about the genetics side please. I love your videos please dont ever stop. Your a great teacher and love learning along the way with you xxx
Awww Rusty! With one ear up and one ear down. I love him so much!
Lovely video Sandi, you’re the best!!
Sandi don't change anything! You're videos are great no matter what they're about! I just started watching them a couple months ago and have now caught up with them! I anxiously await each and every one of them! ❤🐑
Its been raining here in Illinois , USA too . Hang in there lady , your efforts here are very much appreciated , love you !
Thanks Tracy!
Sandi Brock give Betty a cuddle
My pleasure Sandi 😇 !
I have no connection with farming and I'm here for cute lambs. But since I'm here, it's always really interesting to hear what you have to say about raising sheep.
Hey Sandi,
You're doing such an amazing job!! My parents and grandparents used to farm sheep on the little 70 acre farm we own on the Aran Islands in the west of Ireland but not near as many sheep as you've got. We don't farm sheep anymore but instead we farm a small herd of cattle as more of a pastime and love our work.
You've an excellent system going and we really do take our hats off to you as you take such pride and care in your work. We are all looking forward to your next video/vlog.
From all of us here in Galway, Ireland, well done and thank you for all your videos 👏🇮🇪🍀❤️
i love what you give us it shows how farmers work so hard for us . so people leave her alone
Amazes me that in January lambing you had temperatures down to -5C and the lambs are ok. Credit to your ewe health and feeding 😉.
I know I will never be a Shepard or a farmer or any sort, but I loved visiting my Uncle’s farm as a child and I think it makes me respect my meat more knowing how hard y’all work. I have so much admiration for your family and all the hard work you guys put in every day.
Betty is looking so much better! Keep it up with her and god bless that her and the injured lamb keep going strong💪
I am a city girl but I’m loving your channel. I’m finding it very interesting. I love seeing the cute lambs but also just seeing a day in your life. The work never stops and neither do you. Great job.
I enjoy all your videos. I find the instructional videos very interesting, as I am looking to add a few sheep to my homestead, so I would be lambing 2 or 3 ewes instead of 100, but the information is all good. I also like the 'fluffy' videos, because who doesn't like watching the little leapers jumping around. Your sharing is much appreciated, and your honesty in what goes on is eye opening. Thanks.
Love watching you, and I think halve a million is sure worth for a happy life. Enjoy your days.
I'm such a city girl even though I live in an agricultural area (coastal California) but your business is fascinating! And lady, watching you work tires me out, you do it all! I am blown away by the sheer amount of work you all put in to what you do. My grandparents came from southern Kansas so I'm not far removed from farming folk but still, what you do is amazing. The black lambs and ewes are my favorites! So stinking cute!!
I live in Flower Mound Texas and since I live in the city will never raise sheep. I love learning about everything you do in the process including how you decide feed mixtures, dealing with difficulties like bird nests and flooding as well as loosing some of your babies. Lambing of course is my favorite but I love seeing you on a machine helping Mark! I love the entire website and hope me watching makes you feel supported.
