By the way I'll love to see a review of a Land Rover Discovery 4 SDV6 because I actually have a Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TSI trend & fun (2011 model) and I'm thinking to sell it and buy the disco
Normally, I find car reviewers lacking any mechanical knowledge and reviewing the car related to its intended function. Surprisingly, these reviews are fantastic. Informative and loving the technical knowledge. Best I've seen in a long time.
My mom just bought a 2015 Corolla , and let me tell you this car perfect for everything . If your on highway the car behave very well , I mean you could go 80 mph at 2200 rpm that's crazy, it's very quiet inside , my mom is very happy with this car .
Thank you for the honest review. It's nice to hear someone actually rate this car for what it is - its incredible how some reviews on youtube expect a 300hp/dual clutch on these things. it costed me roughy $100/year to regularly maintain a corolla in the day. Reliable Park, Drive, Reverse car that will serve 200k miles easily.
It could, if you swap the engines or were to buy a Jetta/Audi engine, given the thrust-to-weight ratio this car is more likely to be compatible to a Jetta/Audi engine.
Great review. I just helped my daughter purchased the same model few months ago. Why Corolla? We have 2003 Corolla CE with 630,000 km and still drives like a year old car. The only thing that was replaced in the engine is just the starter at 475,000 km. The front suspension was replaced at 420,000 km, sway bar at 530,000 km, wheel bearing in both front and rear at driver's side at 425,000 km, rear wheel bearing at passenger's side at 600,000km, the other is still original. The rest are original other than the normal replacement of spark plugs, pcv valve, serpentine belt, brake pads. The front rotor is still original! Yes the rotor is 630,000 km. This car is driven around 57,000 km per year, all summer and winter here in Toronto. The only maintenance I regularly do is oil change, cleaning of throttle body and MAF sensor. Drive it normally and I still average 15 km/l during summer and 14 km/l during winter. Ofcourse you have to be a safe and courteous driver to have the car live this long. Am I lucky to continue enjoy driving this car or the fact remains that if you treat any kind of car properly that it will reward you with long reliable vehicle. By the way, since owning this 2003 Corolla CE, only 2 ocassions this car failed to start. First, when after 5 years the battery reached it life, and secondly, when the starter failed. This car just simply starts in all kind of weather condition. Thank you toyota. You are the car that is fun to drive and own.
Manuel, amazing details on your prized Corolla. I'm jealous of that mileage and I'm hoping you get it to a million. Is it a manual transmission or automatic?
Corollas are probably the best dependable car you can buy, I have a 2003 Corolla S, that a I bought new, its my secondary vehicle and it still runs like a champ.
Great review. I'm a Mechanical Engineering student myself, and I bought a 2017 Corolla SE to replace my "fun & unreliable" MINI Clubman S. Most reviewers snobbishly pan the car, but it's a decent driver, and it's rock-solid reliable. This is my first Japanese car, after having a go with American and Europeans for the last 17 years. That is more important than anything else, speaking from the viewpoint of someone who just ditched a sport-tuned, turbocharged British/German car that cost 50% of purchase price in maintenance. From an engineering perspective, that "measly" 132 horsepower, dated engine design translates to higher fatigue endurance limits in the powertrain, has collectively accumulated billions of miles of proven performance, has had the benefit of incremental iterative refinements, all of which are far superior to a "cutting-edge" design that may diminish the car's reliability. Nobody who even looks at this car cares about speed, maneuverability, or uniqueness; they care about getting from point A to B with minimal fuss and unpleasant surprises. Toyota knows who their audience is, and 50 years of production speaks for itself. A Corolla is not meant to be a track car, it's meant to be the car that goes 250,000 miles without a sweat, and without denting your wallet. The car is a good performer, the engine bay facilitates easy long-term maintenance, and it has adequate power for 99% of driving. I like my Corolla, and kudos for a technical review that focuses on its individual merits.
I know it's fun to harp on the corolla but I really like the new styling. Headlights look great and even the side mirrors look sporty. My god how far we've come that even corollas look this cool.
+WuWei Xu No issues whatsoever. Gear ratio changes are smoother than actual gears. Paddies let you enter manual mode for a bit even in just D mode. It let's you 'shift' gears on the fly, pretty helpful if you need engine braking.
Funny how people throw around adjectives to describe Corolla such as "economic & affordable", like they can just throw around 21k-18k effortlessly or are they just completely oblivious of how that actually sounds to MOST people world wide and even in the US that's a significant amount of money, given the frequency at which most people in US could say that.
If you are a girl and want to learn a little more about cars, watch this review! I was surprised I actually didn't get bored hearing all this stuff about cars! Good job on this review.
Just bought one! This car is actually really fun to drive once you engage Sport mode and manual shifting. It has a very sporty feel to it without sacrificing comfort. For the price, it's a great car in my opinion.
@@thatsreallyamoon lmaoo 75k as if that like a really long time! i would expect even a Yugo product to last 75k miles let alone a Toyota transmission.. txt me back when you have reached 180k... then will seee
Ok. Feel free to Google 2014 Corolla miles. Some high-commuting people already have made it 150k miles. But that doesn't matter to you; you only want data that verifies your outlook that CVT Bad.
Good review, spot on. I just bought a 2015 Toyota Corolla S Plus, very impressed with the amount of comfort, performance & features for an economy car.
Timothy Shelsea How are you liking the 2015 Toyato Corolla S Plus so far? I am looking to purchase one here soon would love any feedback you can give me. Thank you in advance
wardgregg2001 After having the car for about a month and a half, I'm still very happy. I've watched some comparison videos with other cars in its class like the Mazda 3 and Honda civic and have drawn these conclusions... The Mazda 3 is the most sporty & fun to drive and the Honda Civic is the most youthful & modern tech featured. The Corolla seems the most refined and grown up. ..in other words, my Corolla S Plus feels like I could park it next to an Audi A4 or BMW 3 series and it would fit in. The LED highlights are a win and the S Plus features make it the only version I'd buy. Very happy overall.
Another excellent review ! Very thorough. I really like the format of your reviews, covering every aspect of the car - the mechanics, the exterior, the interior, the tech features. the driving experience, fuel economy, pros n cons. I've always believed that engineers make great car reviewers, and this is excellent proof ! Please teach other reviewers a thing or two because this is how a car should be reviewed ! Say, are they paying you for these reviews ? I'd hope so. With no hesitation do I say that you are, by far, the best car reviewer on UA-cam, and I have seen many reviews and reviewers.
Happy Idiot Thank you for the kind words, glad you enjoy the review style! I'm very new to this world, hoping for this segment of my channel to have some healthy growth (along with the more established content, of course).
Engineering Explained I really think that this segment of your channel IS going to see a lot of popularity because, even though the engineers in your audience (like myself) enjoy learning theory, and it's great that you have videos that explain auto tech theory, most people (I think) like to see that theory applied, and people can better relate to actual cars than theoretical concepts (again, I enjoy the theory very much, but just speaking for the majority). So, keep up the good work ! And, it just so happens, that you do car reviews very well, so you're stuck with doing them :P
I respect all car reviewers and I enjoy watching their videos but I will say this, you are better than most of them and you don't give us your bias opinion you give an honest opinion. People always want to say that cars like this is boring. Hello! I work at a Dollar Store who sometimes want to go to the mall, or the movies, and sometimes want to go out of town that my maybe 40 minutes or an hour away from where I live. Like whether it has the features of a sports car or not is of little importance to me. I care about gas mileage so that I can save a buck or two. I just want a nice dependable car that is going to last me a long time if I take good care of it. That's all.
I travel a lot and i been driving same since 2014 till now 2019 with 370,000 km and I got to say other than regular requirements like oil, tire, filter etc i have never experienced a major problem with this car
You have to increase your mileage trip distance. ~50 miles is not even 2 gallons of gas, and is not a long enough distance to get a reasonably accurate MPG rating in a variety of conditions and situations. In your videos you have consistently gotten WAY higher mileage numbers than just about any other reviewer out there and I believe this is the reason. Great videos other wise - very detailed.
Hazdazos The reason I get better mpg (aside from maybe a 5-10% error in reading) is because maximum speeds are low and I drive pretty efficiently (especially on this course, which I know very well). The MPG numbers I post are certainly possible, but could have approx 5-10% error from what I've discussed with people who understand this much more than I.
Wow you seem to be the only one able to make informative car review! This is what i want for a car review people! Not driving it and saying "oh this feels good to drive"! Aren't i right guys?
I love the way you go into detail with these reviews, think about different types of viewers and unbias view. Thank you not many people like you on UA-cam.
This was my first car ('16 Corolla S+ CVT). Lease for two years. Decent car, some QC issues I noticed on the paint and windows so I wouldn't buy one without a thorough inspection. Noise level is pretty quiet on the highway (compared to an Impreza hatch). S (sport) mode is fun, higher gears ratio but eats gas obviously, the steering feels a notch heavier too. In sport mode it gets around 26mpg for me. For a college student/work this is a good commuter car and you can fit 4 passengers with plenty of room. The only thing I dislike is how small the brakes are in this car. I always feel like I'm on its limits but maybe I just drive too fast. For highways, just flick the sport mode on to merge or pass cars and off you go but regular mode does feel really slow. It does have that dual-purpose personality; one for an older person that can use this as a daily cost effective commuter and the second one for the younger college kids first car that doesn't break the bank. $2100 down $99/month deal.
Baller Boy new, it was an online flyer deal that my dealership advertised during the holidays. This was the cheapest when i cross-shopped civic, accord, elantra, etc. Also my credit is pretty boss :)
The reason one can get such great LEASE deals on these cars is because they hold their value LITERALLY like gold! *Residual values* are sky high because they are so DEAD reliable and durable. Insane longevity!!
I've got a 2012 wrx and my other car is a 2015 Corolla s, I don't feel boring driving this Corolla and I enjoy driving it , the brake is better then my wrx , takes corner like champ lol
Thanks for the great video. I just purchase a 2015 last month and everything you mentioned is right on the money. It took me 3 months to make the decision to buy the Corolla. Wish I had seen your video sooner. I know now I got a good car for its class.
Finally. Someone that agrees with me. I think the Toyota Corolla drives excellent with the CVT and the engine that it has. I have a 2017 with 30,000 miles on it. Yes at start off it is not the fastest car but if you're on the highway going 55 or 60 miles an hour and you want to pass somebody it will go around someone quite quickly with the way that CVT operates.
You like the corolla (like the format of your car reviews), you like Formula 1, i like your videos. You have earned a new subscriber and a top 5 of favorite youtubers. Keep up the good work.
Great review! I was actually looking at a Honda civic in the future for a Eco type car but then you just changed my world when I watched this video I might be looking into a Corolla in the future.
I am so happy with my 2014 corolla s fully loaded its been a year and my car still looks like brand new and alot of people still complement when i wash my car :)
I like your review because ir hard to get a review of a car that you looking to buy and they just tell you what they like but not what mechanical off the car or the ups and donw of it.. overall good review thank you
Excellent review. I wish there were more reviews from people like this that actually understand how cars work. Thanks. Keep them coming sir. I will keep watching.
Very professional, informative, and non biased review. Thank you for your videos. I suggest you do a review on the accord sport because there aren't any reviews out there that are as helpful and informative. Cheers.
Once again I have to come back to your channel to learn the specifics and the information I want about my own car -2018 Toyota corolla SE-any other channel just doesn’t come close to what I’m looking for
man... you had some really awesome shots this video. I was really thrown away at the shot of the left gopro as you where driving through those green hills. Anyways, I think that improvement in your production may be the only thing these reviews are missing. Not to say that its bad, Its just that every other detail about these reviews are great. And that improvement in editing and production seems to be the only thing that would make your videos even better.
thanks! I just took over my teenagers toy 2014 S! She said it was slow! haha I love it with 100k 6 speed manual her loan is 10k, I walked into some equity. It still runs fine.
I loved the 2014 Corolla S when I had one as a loner, but not enough to buy one and trust the long term reliability of a belt and pulley CVT. People like to point out the reliability of the Prius CVT, but the Prius has an eCVT, which doesn't have a belt and pulley and is an entirely different type of transmission. I did test drive a 2014 Corolla L trim with the 4 speed AT, but the 4 speed just made the Corolla unappealing to drive. The skinnier tires of the Corolla L added to its unappealing to drive nature. I opted for a 2013 Civic EX with 5 speed AT, it's much better than the Corolla 4 speed and the 2013 Civic's handling is amazing! The multi-link fully independent rear suspension in the Civic just blows away the semi-independent torsion beam suspension in the Corolla. But the 2013 Civic EX has its flaws. I do admit that I like the 2014 Corolla S's instrument layout more than the 2013 Civic. The two tier instrument panel in the Civic is gimicky IMO. My eyeballs don't simultaneously see upper and lower levels at the same time because I'm not a chameleon! I'd rather have both analog, side by side tach and speedo in the Corolla. The 5 inch display in the 2013 Civic looks more like a 3 inch display when it displays the backup camera because it's further away, to the right in the upper tier instrument panel. I'm thinking of getting an aftermarket head unit to get a proper sized backup camera display for my Civic. The Bluetooth in the 2013 Civic EX is slow to pair with my phone, sometimes taking over 30 seconds. The same phone pairs with a Bluetooth speaker or Bluetooth headphones in just a couple of seconds. And the 2014 Corolla S comes with paddle shifters and a smart key, which you don't get in a 2013 Civic EX.
The reputation Toyota has for boring, economy car is really rooted in the American and European mindset that I'd call, First World Problems. This mindset made Toyota create separate brands for luxury cars, Lexus in the first place. If you look at the models Toyota offers in the Asian, Australian and JDM market; Toyota has some luxurious and exciting models that rival or even surpass its sibling Lexus has to offer. Examples include Toyota Crown, Crown Majesta sedans and Alphard/Vellfire minivans. Search them in google and see what I'm talking about.
My Brother has a 1986 toyota cressida and indeed it was such a luxurious car for its days, came with power mirror, window, cruise control, power locks, alarm, headlight washer fluid, and amplified am/fm radio with cassette
i have this car. the text messages come late onto the vehicle and sometimes they take forever to load. other than that... the car is great. Bluetooth gets on fast. Nice sound system. Great drive. Good on gas.
Dont really understand why people complain about performance of the new corollas, its not a sport car, it will never be like the 1986 gts, its made for daily driving. If people wanted a sports corolla, get a 1985-86 gts twincam, rwd and fun to drive. I own a 1980 toyota corolla 1.8 and it has the ultimate sports feel despite i did put mods in the car to put down 150hp on 2300 lbs but its fun to drive just like my 98 impreza gc8
great video. I like your reviews buddy, very mechanic-based. you gotta check your comments though! I've asked you quite a few questions on your other videos with no answer lol just saying
My mom owned a 98 Chevy Prizm ( Toyota Corolla with a Chevy body) she bought it with 4 miles on it when I was 14 I learned how to drive in it. Beat the hell out of it as a teenager. She traded it in with 486k on it. I just bought a 2016 Corolla with a CVT.
Just bought one! Slate grey with 90,000 miles. First time buying a car over $2,000 lol 😂 I just sold my 2004 Corolla S with 300,000 miles. I’m excited to see what this upgraded version gets me!’
I am really hoping to buy a 2005 Corolla, they are very common where I am and are known for reliability and economy. Corolla's just well made and fit the needs of the average person that's why they are one of the best selling cars plus they hold their value very well.
Had 2 of these a 2014 and a 2015 at my local Toyota dealership with parts on backorder, ended up with a Dart GT, not waiting around for backordered Toyotas.
I prefer the Civic over the Corolla. I've driven both and the Corolla was so boring, the Civic was fun to drive. I also like how the Civic is a lower. But I can't say the Corolla is a bad car, because it isn't. Both the Civic and Corolla are both good cars. You can't go wrong with either of them, take care of them do regular maintenance and it will last you for ever.
Have had my 2016 since new and the only thing I've replaced is the tires, car is absolutely solid and dependable. If you live in a warm climate invest in some quality summer tires like the Michelin PS4S, car will handle like a gokart but is still quiet and comfortable to daily drive
Terrific review, Jason. I had a chance to rent the exact same car (even the same color) about 6 months ago and echo almost everything you said about it. My favorite part was probably the driving position (I'm a small guy, only about 5'3"), the standard LED headlights and the seamless Bluetooth stereo. I remember I would leave the car, come back and start it up, and the podcast on my phone would start playing again, right where it left off. I got only 35-36 mpg driving pretty conservatively, but it was Texas in the summer so that probably had a lot to do with it. Keep up the good work!
I really like the GoPro view from over your left shoulder, it really gives a good perspective. Also I thought it might be more informative to instead of saying "It skips to 5k rpm" say it drops a gear or 2 right into 5k rpm instead of slowly accelerating in the current gear, or instead of only dropping 1 gear into maybe 3k rpm.
napathan It's a CVT, it doesn't change gears, it alters the pulleys quickly, getting you into the higher RPM. Operates very differently from a conventional automatic.
I own the manual (classic stick) 2015 Corolla which isn't much of a difference to this model. I will say that I haven't driven as many different cars as this guy or anyone really, however I will agree with him on pretty much 97% of what he says about this and my car. I do love my car and consider it to be a fun car. Once I get the chance to test drive other higher power cars and rear wheel cars I will then have a say so about my ride. Thanks for the great detail on the Corolla.
In 2017, Toyota made several safety features standard, that are optional on other cars. It's part of Toyota's Safety Sense package. The SE replaces the S. Also, leather seats and heated seats are optional and so is heated steering wheel.
Yo. So I just realized I watched this video a few years ago just before I bought one these cars and I don’t remember subscribing BUT I recognized your voice in another EE video. I’m pretty I only subbed a few months ago but I guess I found you WAY before that. Kinda cool
Agreed. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this vehicle. I expected everything to feel cheap - the only two things that looked/felt cheap were the gauge cluster (by day, at night it looks fine when backlit), and the rear cupholders.
Yeh, why is there a need for an '8 way electronically adjustable drivers seat'?.. Forcwards, backwards, and the back needs to be able to change angle, that's all you need lol. Cars these days give you so many things to do the only thing you're not doing is ACTUALLY DRIVING.
I am interested in getting a Corolla. But have read about a bunch of CVT issues. Comparing the design of a CVT vs a conventional automatic transmission, It looks like the CVT would have a lot of wear and tear from the rubbing of the V-belt against the metal pulley. Which should cause a lot of metal particulates to be floating around in the CVT fluid. The older Corollas are known to be bulletproof, and was wondering if these CVT Corollas will hold up.
This is actually the best review i've ever seen, because you really understand what a car is and who's buying it, you've really found the point.

80 MPH at 2200 rpm??????????????????????????
That's remarkably fuel efficient, wow!!
similar to my saab
They must have improved a bit over the years. My 2006 Corolla with the 5 speed manual would have to do 4031 RPM to do 80 MPH. Yeah...
Try 1300 rpm at 80mph on the honda accord
You can thank the added overdrive gear, that’s what helps you maintain high speeds with low engine rpms.
I own a 94 Corolla with over 300k miles and no mechanical problems at all.
***** 90% stock from factory.
That's believable. I bet you just did regular maintenance like fluid at the required points and replacing the timing belt when it's due
I had a very similar experience with my 95 Corolla

I like that they've kept the same tiny digital clock in the dash for like 30 years.
rorschach775 my 96 has it.
Now look at the 2022 corolla, looks better than it ever has
Just got this car as my first car, I like every bit of it so far. :D

only thing is that CVT.. cvts are garbage transmission the break like glass
@@AdemJashari56 Not the Toyota ones
@@AdemJashari56 75k miles. Not a single difference in transmission quality from day 1.
Timothy Shelsea Congrats on your new ride!
Thanks!
Timothy Shelsea Thank you for the feedback. I'm going to go get it here soon.
I have owned this car for a year and of all the reviews I have watched you reviewed this car perfectly. Great car and a great review!
That's all.
I am a car enthusiast who likes the Corolla, and appreciates that you have to have a bunch of boring models to get a few cool variants here and there.
This is by far the best review of the new Toyota Corolla S yet!! Thumbs up my friend!! I l like the corolla S and I love your in depth review of it!!
I travel a lot and i been driving same since 2014 till now 2019 with 370,000 km and I got to say other than regular requirements like oil, tire, filter etc i have never experienced a major problem with this car
Nahom glad to know it lasted you that long! Thanks hope mine does too
He's the only one that does a real review
He is definitely the only real review person on UA-cam
Hard to go wrong with a Corolla, no matter what year it is.
One of the best first cars to buy. Very comfortable and easy to drive.
It was my first toyota at the time. Ironically I still see it often. Most reliable car I have ever owned.
Wow did you get it used or brand new? That's hella of a deal for $2100 DP & only $99 a month
This is probably the best video i have found. You pretty much answered all my questions. Really appreciate
You like the corolla (like the format of your car reviews), you like Formula 1, i like your videos. You have earned a new subscriber and a top 5 of favorite youtubers. Keep up the good work.
I just love your in-depth reviews. They save me the trip of going to the dealer.
Great review! I was actually looking at a Honda civic in the future for a Eco type car but then you just changed my world when I watched this video I might be looking into a Corolla in the future.
ItzAnth0ny Both great cars, take them for a test drive and see what you think!
I also like the first person view from the camera so you can show exactly what one would see sitting there. Awesome!
Great review. I felt like I was right there with you during the experience.
Colton Campbell I felt something too.
This is the best damn car review I've ever seen. Great job, man. Thank you for the detailed explanations.
Very professional, informative, and non biased review. Thank you for your videos. I suggest you do a review on the accord sport because there aren't any reviews out there that are as helpful and informative. Cheers.
I find my corolla pretty fun to drive because it had some pep and its a lighter car, turns easy and drives easy
Once again I have to come back to your channel to learn the specifics and the information I want about my own car -2018 Toyota corolla SE-any other channel just doesn’t come close to what I’m looking for
This was a nice review! 2014 Corollas are great, Thanks.
man... you had some really awesome shots this video.
I like these performance cars that you're doing.
Thanks. Maybe if I play my cards right I'll get my hands on a Smart Car.
Engineering Explained lol
thanks! I just took over my teenagers toy 2014 S! She said it was slow! haha I love it with 100k 6 speed manual her loan is 10k, I walked into some equity. It still runs fine.
Very comprehensive review! Keep doing this kind of videos whenever possible please.
I've own one of these 2016 model for about 2 years now and I'm shock how amazing this car Is! Wish there were a bit more mods available. Perfect car
I bought this car after my late 90’s Tercel all of a sudden got a rare engine problem not worth fixing at all. Great vehicle!
Your reviews are by miles the best I've seen.
I love them! I love your channel too ;)
I hope you can make mooore reviews in the future
best reviews with the most knowledge.
great review !! do more please , this so much intresting than the crap we see on you tube called "reviews"
Hoping to get this as my first car. I have no money currently, but by faith. I'll get this car this year
It’s my first car 🖤
corolla is one of the most underrated cars ever
One of the best reviews I watched. Thank you very much for the great job. Keep up the good work ! :D
Great Review got this for my first car ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like its still 2 good for me because i'm 16
Leon Chen That's awesome, congrats!
Engineering Explained Im so Happy :3
Great review. You nailed it down. Gave everything to decide whether or not I should go for it....keep up the good work👍
The reputation Toyota has for boring, economy car is really rooted in the American and European mindset that I'd call, First World Problems.
You have good taste in cars. An AE86 and a GC8 Impreza. JDM classics
+Erick Soto well its called a corolla s which stands for sport, correct me if im wrong.
Cleveland Hayes sport model is not a sports car, its a car with more sporty feel... difference
now this is what i call a perfect car review! excellent! thanks!
Got this car last week☺️
great video. I like your reviews buddy, very mechanic-based. you gotta check your comments though! I've asked you quite a few questions on your other videos with no answer lol just saying
Awesome review! This is actually a great car. If I was in the market in this segment, this would be my top choice along with the Civic.
This car is a one for the car should be. Toyota's legends.
Just bought one! Slate grey with 90,000 miles. First time buying a car over $2,000 lol 😂 I just sold my 2004 Corolla S with 300,000 miles. I’m excited to see what this upgraded version gets me!’
This things really nice anyway just as reliable as the old one as well
you are the best at reviews car.
Just something to mention,
That block in the elise not only has a supercharger on it, but it gets sent to Yamaha for tons and tons of headwork.
I m going to buy this one already. anyway I want to say about your review you are genius . smart guy.
I am really hoping to buy a 2005 Corolla, they are very common where I am and are known for reliability and economy. Corolla's just well made and fit the needs of the average person that's why they are one of the best selling cars plus they hold their value very well.
Great review. I appreciate your technical explanation and your engineering mind set.
I honestly don't think you can find a car that looks this good, this reliable, decently fast for a sedan as a 2014.
Also, leather seats and heated seats are optional and so is heated steering wheel.
you didn't mention about the steering tilt and also can adjust back and forth
Yo. So I just realized I watched this video a few years ago just before I bought one these cars and I don’t remember subscribing BUT I recognized your voice in another EE video. I’m pretty I only subbed a few months ago but I guess I found you WAY before that. Kinda cool
So much power adjustable things we own a 99 corrola Manuel everything it's at 299500 kilometres or 184 k miles. It's still running good.
Toyota is the best
I didn't expect the torsion bar suspension, or the spare tire...pretty decent.
Agreed. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this vehicle. I expected everything to feel cheap - the only two things that looked/felt cheap were the gauge cluster (by day, at night it looks fine when backlit), and the rear cupholders.
Engineering Explained Yea not bad at all. I liked when you said the gauges are a "tacky blue little dial gauge system." lol
a DIY Car Guy I've never been good at English.
Engineering Explained I probably would have said something similar | to the "tacky blue little dial gauge system."
Engineering Explained But you do have a positively fine vocabulary, good sir.
Good job, good car and good god a good general overview.
very good review please do more. also good camera work.
I love Toyota Corolla
An absolute excellent review
that is one hell of a review.
lol cars these days focus waay too much on creature comforts, most r useless and a waste of resources imo
Jared Tate Agreed, you certainly get more value out of base models, but to each their own. The options are available, which is nice.
Yeh, why is there a need for an '8 way electronically adjustable drivers seat'?..
Forcwards, backwards, and the back needs to be able to change angle, that's all you need lol.
Cars these days give you so many things to do the only thing you're not doing is ACTUALLY DRIVING.
Liamv4696 forget those seats.. they are too heavy anyways.
Whole damn car is too heavy
I am interested in getting a Corolla. But have read about a bunch of CVT issues. Comparing the design of a CVT vs a conventional automatic transmission, It looks like the CVT would have a lot of wear and tear from the rubbing of the V-belt against the metal pulley. Which should cause a lot of metal particulates to be floating around in the CVT fluid. The older Corollas are known to be bulletproof, and was wondering if these CVT Corollas will hold up.
I just got my self a corolla 2015 and I just love this car it feels great runs great and very roomie 👍
Great review...thanks... cheers from Tijuana Mexico mate :)
The paddle shifters being good is a result of Toyota making parts first and cars second. Parts bin cars are RAD!
I really enjoyed this video, Nice work and thanks for sharing.
Awesome reviews! Keep them coming
Fantastic work, as always!
