Look forward to watching this video later this weekend. The cost of your health screening in KL looked like a bargain price if compared to the Western world.
Thanks Yasin. I hope you enjoy it and that it's educational for other viewers. I showed it to my parents, and they were very impressed by what KL has to offer for an affordable health screening!
@JackAlderton That's wonderful. Perhaps, one of these days, your parents can visit you and at the same time, do a health screening too, if they haven't done so lately in Sydney. It would be nice to see any of your family member visit you in KL. Is there any Air Asia flight between KL and Sydney. 😁
in malaysia the reason for the best healtcare is 24 hours services if you go to the government as malaysia u pay rm 1.00 only 24 hours emergency and the best is u dont have too come next day just settle in one day..
Excellent video, Jack! Thank you for taking the time to produce such clear, concise, and helpful content about life in KL. Also, congrats on a flawless checkup!
Cheers! Yes you definitely can, no need to prove any status as it's private & also aimed to attract 'medical tourists'. You probably won't be able to get the discount though as it was through local insurance and/or credit card issuer benefit. Still, great value IMO!
Thank you for sharing.. Quite interesting. This hospital is another choice for medical check-ups other than The Prince Court, Glen Eagles, Ampang Putri and others.. Glad that you are okay 👍
🤦🏻♂Stayed at Somerset many times; did not even know there was a hospital next door - could have just popped over for a comprehensive check-up. Thanks for another thoroughly informative vlog, Jack, and congrats on the phenotypic! 10/10 on the Bryan Johnson scale 😄
Every year million of Indonesian came for healthcare check up in Malaysia because specialist Dr and private Hospital in Malaysia are much more better compared to Indonesia. Indonesian prefer to come to Malaysia because most Indonesian don't speak English and only speak and understand malay language make them feel more comfortable doing medical check up in Malaysia....
Hey! In this case it was for having AIA health insurance, but there are also deals for certain credit cards, e.g. Visa. You could contact them and see if they offer any discounts that apply to you. Even without the discount I think it's amazing value tbh!
You can yes, I'm researching this for my father who might visit and get all this done in Malaysia as it's much more affordable vs Australia. I'd definitely recommend reaching out to the hospitals / medical centres and asking for a quote for what you're looking for.
Not all experiences are good. I went at 1pm to the emergency room of Prince Court Hospital with a serious bowel obstruction. The treatment is simple with a tube into the stomach, but they waited 10 hours to do this because the assigned surgeon was not available. It should have been done immediately. I was also given the wrong medication, useless expensive scan, overbilling and much more. The complaints I filed were denied or ignored. None of the "values" they post on their website were adhered to. Talking to lawyers they said they have lots of much worse cases from hospitals in the IHH hospitals group, I am preparing legal action for compensation. (Alty in the video is not part of IHH.)

I wonder how much does it cost to get prostate BPH test.
Would be pretty affordable, can probably be covered by a GP you trust.
How can we get the 30% discount?
