The fact that every single of the opponents Pokemon have objectively better moves than you rubs me a bit the wrong way though. Idk, guess I'm not into this kind of torture is what it boils down to
I know some things about Emerald Kaizo. Most status moves such as taunt and the weather changing moves are disabled. Only the opponent can do it. EVERY single pokemon has a different moveset. If you wanna look at their movesets, go to their website and download the text files for each gen they originate from. The worst part of this game is the enemy has at least 2 maxed EVs, and you can't have any!! So IVs are VITAL to success. I hope this info was helpful for your later attempts of this nightmarish game
They actually don’t have maxed EVs, but do almost always have max IVs. And EV gain is disabled (except for Charmeleon which accidentally still gives sp atk EVs).

Insurgence isn’t too hard, I have nuzlocked it multiple times with pretty hard rules
@@muri9554 Oh! Your right, I meant Dark Rising, but I keep mixing the two for some reason.
Thank for mentioning this.
Not with his rule set. Reborn has several battles you're supposed to lose, and I know this madman would attempt to beat those anyway.
Twitch people, LETS GOO, TREECKO RUN IS POG
GODRUN
Why did you play emerald kaizo blind but not radical red?
Asking the real questions
He had played emerald...
So this is where it all started
I love this concept of hardcore nuzlocke. I've been played competitive battling via Pokemon Showdown for like almost 2 years. This reminds me of that.
18:18: "Im assuming we're speed tied".
"Nope!"
Truly Kaizo :)
Watching this reminds me of the time I put into completing pokemon emerald kaizo and the hardest part of the game for me was a Sunkurn at the beginning of the game im kidding it was probably either walking through victory road or invading team aqua and magma bases
I love this channel so much!
"Remoraid seems really useful for Roxeanne." Attempt 1 theory crafting. OMEGALUL
Hype for 12 hr. Treecko attempt stream! This is the run! (Well at least I really want it to be.)
It probably won't be. Treecko really isn't that great. Mudkip run probably has the best chance of succeeding because marshtomp and swampert are really op
How late is he beginning the stream?
@@Akumo69 nah torchic is the way to go, you can get barboach before wattson so marshtomp isnt really needed
@@Akumo69 In normal Emerald, Swampert is OP, badly, in Emerald Kaizo there are so much trainer that makes Swampert completely useless (like Flannery).
and this started the long chain of events that let up to attemp 151
Imagine how hard platinum kaizo is going to be...
Its gonna be worse than hell
I love how Jan's Kabuto is backwards but misspelled
All of the names in this runs are acronyms somewhere throughout the evolutionary line.
As someone who's tried emerald kaizo this is so anxiety inducing
Didnt think I'd catch this so early! Youre awesome man!
I tried, I failed, and I gave up. I’m too casual for this game.
Glad you gave up because some trainers had double battles all the time
Is there even a way to nuzlocke this? Haven't seen a UA-cam video of someone who has.
*tried
@@silverthehedgehog5187 oops 😅😅😅
@@MrCharly780 For context, Jan has been trying for a good while now, and he regularly does math for every single battle coming up to make sure he can avoid any deaths. Most recently a very long run died at Winona, even though he spent like 2 hours planning the fight out and getting the right pokemon out of his box. It's definitely possible, I think, but you have to have some luck, insane knowledge and insane intiuition.
I think Jan can do it but he might gain some gray hairs doing it.
If you've ever played PokeMMO that's probably one of the hardest nuzlockes to do. I'd say borderline impossible. They have level caps in the game making it insane along with good AI. Hoenn Sinnoh Unova and Kanto from the in game ROMs.
5 months ago.... So naive...
Bruh when yawn immediately put puff to sleep I was slack jawed for like a whole minute I did NOT expect that lmao
My experience on this one was Treeco was the best way to guarantee a 2 gym clear. I gave up though. Lol
Pokemon reborn is super hard and I would enjoy watching you play it
He forgot to mention the part where all your pokemon have 0 IVs across the board and the opponents have 31 IVs across the board.
wait what? the enemies have evs? wtf i thought it was completly disabled. thats just unfair then.
IVs do vary, it's just EVs that you can't accrue.
@@galiodart3673 yes. I tried playing emerald kaizo but even a normal run feels unfair. Flannery has 6 pokemons with solar beam on perma sunny day, and a lot of other covers. How tf u fight that
@@caiobotelho8528 over level like a mad lad through rare candies, drug up ur mons(basically cheat an hack in protein, zinc and etc)
@@sleekzoroark1664 well it would defeat the purpouse of the hack to begin with haha. i just left it at the weather center and fuck it. theres a difference between "hard" and just straight unfair. its like "oh i'll make a hack in which your pokemon always deals 1 dmg on every move hahahah so hard!!1111!"
you're the best PC hope you have a great christmas mate, thanks for the content this year
He's the best cuz Its all he does he has nothing in life except pokemon its sad
@@brycejarvis1577 he makes us feel better about our meaningless lives
The fact that every single of the opponents Pokemon have objectively better moves than you rubs me a bit the wrong way though. Same lvl Kabuto having Giga Drain instead of Mega Drain, the Yanma having Ancientpower, etc. Also seems to be somewhat heavy reliance on luck-based tactics. Idk, guess I'm not into this kind of torture is what it boils down to
and he succeeded
This man,: Èzzz
Me: he won't make it past the first gym
*And thus the legend began*
Title change
*Pro Nuzlocker Defeats Emerald Kaizo*
Oh boy, that looks cool, just was thinking it'd be over with Red, but he's still growing, so isn't as strong yet!
I wish i could follow the streams, but reallife is one heck of a stressful happening, not even cuz of a virus of any kind, unless "bad luck" is one.
It's been really fun watching these attempts live and inspired me to start doing my own nuzlocke content, looking forward to see how far jan makes it before he quits :)
I wonder how many names does he have to think of every day.
At the end of the day I would end up naming them numbers.
i know i can barley name one pokemon and he has to name a full team plus others...wow
As of today, Jan is done with Emerald Kaizo after 151 attempts. The same number as the number of Kanto Pokemon in the Pokedex
Holy shit I just realized that
Dude you're almost 150k! Thats amazing congrats! Pog.
Congratulations on your nuzlocke!
also...... it makes you not use items in battle, you did not mention that
He dosent mentions it, because he dosent uses items in battle anyway
@@Tobi-wk9px He did in blue Kaizo
You've been killing it lately! Thanks for entertaining me!
Ey, where’s the rest of Radical Red? Was enjoying that.. haha
@Luthfi Jaya I mean at least in radical red you are given all the tools necessary to create multiple competitive mons and adjust your team depending on who you’re facing. Emerald Kaizo is just the game being unfair and trying to torture you.
@@BuildaBarb Same, I like hard games that give you the tools to succeed, and just task you with figuring out a path to victory. And Radical Red’s major fights are pretty hard to cheese given the Sleep Clause, Evasion Clause, and the soft level cap restricting any cheap strategies.
Nobody:
“Emerald kaizo is the hardest nuzlocke ever!”
Ding dong Games: “Aw that’s cute~”
Have you ever thought about nuzlocking other "Mon games" before? Like nexomon extinction, temtem, or something?
Just curious.
He laughed at this game. And then it look him 151 attempts.
In my first attempt I wiped because I tried to catch a level 2 togepi that double edge crit me
