I've just recently bought a 36v Makita Hedge Trimmer, and it's a great garden tool. It's a lot more powerful than their 18v version that I've tried before, it just takes 2x 18v batteries, but it done a massive hedge and there was still power left in the batteries. For normal gardens with average size hedges, battery trimmers are great, but for larger gardens petrol or electric ones are better.
I'm a Makita person myself, and just recently borrowed my friends 18v Makita hedge trimmer, and it was actually pretty decent. so, went and bought one myself, but I went for the 36v version of it as it wasn;t much more expensive, and it's a lot more powerful, it just takes 2x 18v batteries, but it done a massive hedge and there was still power left in the batteries.
For some things it looks it might work reasonably well. Personally I do not like the extra safety switch on the brake arm. Sometimes I have to use my trimmers with one hand and you can not operate with one hand unless you tape or close the switch. Thanks for sharing.

This is handy vid we are after an electric one because the hedge isn't very thick so it's pointless getting a heavy petrol on for out hedge
Thanks !

I have a 18volt Ryobi and quite a lot of hedge to trim. The Ryobi does the lot, and hardly used any battery
Thats good to know cheers Mark

Hi good video and very good clear instructions on how to use the trimmer, it's a shame there's not a battery and charger included with it
