I was on this diet for a year and was a fanatic about it. But I got more and more tired, became depressed and anemic, and started having high blood sugar readings above 220 after eating. Sure you feel great at first simply because you're cleansing, not eating gluten and dairy (which most people are sensitive to, causing acne, IBS, mood problems, etc) but then you slowly go downhill. Have funnnn

Im in the Army and I'm vegan too :p
The army puts meat in everything
I bring a backpack full of food to every training.
    here is a tip
1: bring dates. .. they travel well and last forever. very satisfying too.
2: Bring a blender, The most common vegan choices are bananas, apples, pears, oranges, baby spinach.
everything else is canned or cooked .
If you're going to be gone for a LOOONG time. get a what grass sprouter and load up on seeds (super simple/fast) food to grow.

I’m exactly the same. My mum always questions me on how I’m going to get my protein and that I’m going to become anaemic or something. It’s kind of hard to live and eat around people who just eat whatever is placed in front of them. In the last few months I’ve really started to think were my “food” is coming from. It’s is so awesome and natural to eat all the great fruit and vegetables that Earth gives us. Plus, you’re not supporting the horrible dairy and chicken industry!

As a truck driver myself I can attest we have very limited options as far as raw food. All gas stations only have lettuce, tomatoes, bananas, and apples. That’s about it. But you can make it work if you’re dedicated raw. Fast food is tempting though! Not easy.

Great video. Wish I could go one day. I turned 40 back in June and made the switch from a high protein bodybuilder diet to low fat vegan (I have cheated a little though). I'm getting at least half of my calories from raw fruit and veg, but I'm always working at ways to make it more. Happy in spirit and high in energy more and more each day. It has been amazing. This can be true only because their has to be a ballance. You don't have to do the fruits all the time. There is the grains and beans veggies. Remember that the carbs of pasta bread aren't really so natural they have been put through a process. They are some people who are Predominantly raw and have occassional carbs. It is more better to have more of the healthy stuff then the non healthy.

its expensive but it has to be. costs of food alone would be thru the roof. organic produce is sooo expensive and vegans (not even raw vegans) eat HEAPS of food. they are not light little eaters cos unprocessed vegan foods have such small amounts of calories you have to eat heaps. those sombrero sized bowls u see everyone carrying are not hats. thats what u eat your meals out of. get it now? costs a fortune to keep everyone fed! but so worth it. if u cant afford it you can always apply to be a volunteer worker/helper then u get to attend for just $75.

I didn't say they were bad I said relying on them exclusively is bad. If you eat an excess of fat, protein OR carbohydrates it's unhealthy, you need to be balanced and your diet has to vary depending on season and region if you truly want to be healthy. People like to believe nutrition is simple "just eat this and you'll be fine" it's not simple. If you want to learn about it I need more than 500 characters and a reason to explain, the onus is on you to do your own research.

You couldn't help it, could you, Michael?! You had to bring racism into the Woodstock Fruit Festival on the slide, didn't you?! Where is the racial diversity among the pioneers you invited to speak at the event? Not only did you not feature any of the well-known Black raw foodist from UA-cam as speakers but you didn't even have the magnanimity of spirit to interview any of the Blacks who were in attendance at the festival. You merely let them be seen in the background lugging boxes of fruit and sitting in the audience. All the speakers and interviewees just had to be lily White. You didn't even have the presence of mind to interview at least one Black attendee in order to at least patronize and pacify us with some good ole racist tokenism. Moreover, you--being Jewish--should be more sensitive to issues of subtle and overt discrimination than most. What century are you living in, bro?! smh
